Ren'Py - Abandoned - Stars of Salvation [v0.2] [Stiglet]

Like other reviewers said, this is a very nice intro for a game that sadly we'll never see completed. The girls look lovely and the story is quite acceptable. The only "sex scene" implemented is interactive and looks cool, it's a real shame this won't be developed any further

Played this last night and TBH it's such a shame it got abandoned. All character models are very attractive and I don't know when was the last time, that in a game all characters are likeable. This encourages me to play Dev's previous game.

I give this 5 stars even though the game is abandoned. The animation here is one of the best I've seen on this site. It is also worth noting the physics of the models. The boobs clench and react to the cock coming between them like they're real. The render is great too. The writing is captivating and the story itself was very promising. The developer must have a problem or have a good reason to stop developing because otherwise it would be a crime to abandon such a promising project.

Version 0.2. I'm really sorry the game was abandoned. Has a great potential. I like the girls a lot. I like the story, that could be developed to a good sci-fi one. The renders seem good to me and the animations are very good.
The visit was a good game and Stars of salvations promised to be better. Hope to see Stiglet coming back to this one or others.

Seriously, what happened to the creator, this game has excellent characters, very well modeled, this game was going to be much better than The Visit, it comes back and there are many more versions. They are one of the best animations I've seen as far as visual novel games are concerned

What's there is good but not great.

It could have been, it had a massive amount of potential and could have been as big if not bigger than his previous game.

Sadly this is as far as the game goes so it won't get to live up to that potential which is a shame. The characters are great the story seemed okay and the MC plays his part well.

It's a good start but it's a dead project. It's been a year since it dropped with no sign of life so I think it's a safe bet this one is done and dusted. It's a shame but that's how it goes.

Download at your own risk. The story won't be continuing so think on that before continuing.

If anything changes i'll update this but, like I said, it's been a year now and projects coming back after that long are practically non existant.

Although it has been abandoned, the fact is that this game is an absolute gem!

Stiglet is already known well from The Visit and he put an amazing job on SoS where you have beautiful renders, gorgeous characters, and hung MC.

It is a real shame that Stiglet stopped all of his projects but hopefully, we'll receive good news by the end of this year

The characters are looking very good and the story is starting out interesting.
The graphics as well are looking promising.
There is not a huge amount of content yet (V0.2) so thats really all i can say at this moment.

For the current duration and iteration it at least deserves 4/5. In my book.

FIRST UP:
That the Genre is Sci-Fi matters less to me, as long as the Story/Plot and Visual Quality is decent, and does not display tendencies I find less 'interesting' (and I ain't 'Vanilla' in any way). Overall, I think Stars Of Salvation delivers.

STORY:
Shows promise of future intrigues and possibilities, not least regarding general expansion of the story. It kinda cuts to the chase in a no-nonsense way. Yet manages to present an anchor in terms of backstory. (even to some extend an emotional anchor)
- Matters less to me, that it's goes from linear VN to Sand-box. I do like the option to explore a bit. As long as some sense of purpose and in-game guidance is offered.

DIALOGUE :
Short and unstilted. Nor is it unnecessarily elaborate or convoluted. In context of the settings in which it all plays out and the general 'plot', the delivery and progression seems natural.

RENDERS:
The renditions made to support and/or enhance the Game/VN experience, are way above average.
Characters may show less range when it comes to expressions/emotions, as far as I can tell. There is no variation in the way the characters dress. I'll chalk that down to a conscious choice from the Devs side. Especially when you look at the customized details of each character's outfit. No wonder they, for now, have decided to stick to a core selection. Does not detract from the overall emersion, among other things, due to the dialogue and environmental/background rendition and details.
The care and attention to detail regarding the environment/ backgrounds, are unlike anything I have seen in a loong while. And much of it appears to be custom made. At least effort has been made to make it look original and "lived in".

Conclusion:
If the Devs return to this project and keep up the Quality story and graphics-wise -> Then I cannot wait to continue this journey with them. And I will indeed support them.
- Considering the playtime available atm. I'd say - Worth a DL. If not for the (currently) short story introduction, then for the few fap'able scenes available.

High Level: This is one of the best games I've played in a while! Plus, it has a great direction to grow in!

Thoughts: The first thing that sticks out is the incredible renders made. It is clear that a lot of time and effort has been placed developing the models. One of the big draws are the animations, they are really, really nice, very smooth and most importantly very high quality (actually surprised it looked that good). I like the story, I would even go as far as to say that I find it interesting/engaging, but then again I am sucker for sci-fi so it's difficult to disappoint to me! My only real gripe is that this is a recent game, and it seems updates aren't too frequent, but then again that isn't surprising how long it must take to render each frame!

Verdict: I think anyone will be impressed by the level of quality - especially visual - found in this game, even if you don't like sci-fi settings, the level of detail and aesthetic quality is almost unmatched when compared to other porn games. I was legitimately surprised by how nice it looked, and that is not easy to do at this point!

As of v0-2 (some potential plot spoilers are hidden)

Someone previously stated that the plot is weak and isn't a motivation for anyone to play. I have to disagree there. I rather enjoyed the story. Granted, the sci-fi genre (and space travel) is one of my favourites, but even so I think this story holds up very well regardless. The frozen/thawed man from the past may have been done before in tv and film, but I haven't seen it that much in AVNs. The story really kicks into gear when the mystery is revealed along with details about the ongoing war. I love the fact that the MC has to get to know each of the crew members to discover which one(s) is the potential renegade. The imbedded spy angle is quite interesting. Not only is your MC having to hide his true intentions, but likely most if not all of the other crew members are doing the same. That will mean a lot tough decisions in the future, especially once the MC and girls grow closer to one another. I certainly like that plotline a hell of a lot more than the usual pint-sized shota boy walks around the house day and night perving on his landlady and roommates.

This game also provides the perfect amount of teasing before diving into the best tit wank scene I have ever scene in a 3DCG game. In most games, the girl just immediately poofs away all clothing and goes right to it. Here, the character disrobes in stages until finally you are blessed with greatness. And the ensuing animations are simply stunning.

P.S. I have no problems with the free roam "sandbox" set up that arrives later in the game. I don't even really consider it sandbox. No stat or money grinding at all. It's primarily just a fast travel procedure to get you around the ship without having to click down hallway after hallway to get to your destination. For this type of game set entirely (for now) in a spaceship, it feels like an enhancement more than a detraction. Now there is a nighttime sleep portion to the sandbox, but I feel like that will become important in the future when you begin to receive "evening visitations."

Renders - Look amazing. There is a satisfying mix of races and hair colours. Most of the girls tend to be thicc in all the right places, but let's be honest, if you're playing Stiglet's games, you likely prefer girls with curves instead of boyish figures. I also think the body types go along with the subplot of crewmembers being selected for genetics and fertility. Bonus points for having a handsome adult MC instead of a creepy-looking teen. That will make the mutual attraction between the ladies and MC much more believable.

Animations - Among the best you will find on F95.

Story - If you like sexy women in a sci-fi mystery setting, you will love this game.

Sound - You have ambient space music and the occasional sci-fi sound effect. Just what you would expect. Not too distracting or overdone, but just right.

UI - A typical ren'py VN setup with some unobtrusive sandbox mechanics added in. You'll be fine, don't worry. If you liked ME's Normandy, you won't have any problem with this. If you didn't like ME's Normandy, then WTF is the matter with you?

So far, an excellent AVN with a bright future. I hope the dev enjoys a well-deserved break and comes back to the game stronger than ever when he is ready.

It is a very good game and renders. Has lots of potential with story line with MC and each hot crew member But, the sand box, the bug and being placed on hold lowers my rating. Understand developer taking time off, but not to completely fix the bug (i have tired multiple times and methods to get second scene to work and followed all the suggestion provide and installed the patch, still does not work). His other game was very very good, and hopefully he expands on it one day.

Huge upgrade compared to The Visit. Probably the best sci-fi game atm.

The technical aspects of the game are impeccable. No bugs, good responsiveness, top quality animations, good sound choices.

Well paced writing. Good build up. Girls are not just whores or prostitutes waiting for you to fuck them all, there's an effort to make relations fell a bit real.

The plot is kinda weak, don't think it can be the major motivation for anyone to play. There's a bit of mistery, but just that. If you are looking for a great engaging story (what I highly doubt), I suggest waiting for next updates.

Stiglet is one of the best game developer. With his last game "The visit" he proved that he is capable to develope a beautiful game and to complete it.

Stars of Salvation had a very promissing start. The renders and girls are top notch. I'm not sure if I like the sandbox style of the game which comes with the second update. The second update was very small but the one new sexy scene is very hot.

I am looking forward to see more content of this game. Stars of Salvation has very much potential.

The story is gripping and the characters are alluring. All of the LI’s are super-hot!
I played the visit years ago and from what I remember I had a blast playing it.

The problems are that the girls all have the same bodies. If I had left a review at this point I would have given this game a solid 4*.

V0.2

The game hits an iceberg and sinks. I have no problem with sandboxes only if they are clear in what has to be done. This game turns into a whack-a-mole. I was expecting a similar amount of content as in v0.1 and this is not even have a 1/3. It was more like 20%. And most of it was boring exposition. I am VERY disappointed only because I expected SO MUCH MORE from this otherwise great dev.

So, this game is already a huge downgrade from the old one because it's freeroaming, meaning a purse, totally unnecessary in any visual romance game, they put it on to fill sausage, just to add more game time and say there's more content that actually exists, but that's not all the bad things about the game, the developer still put in only 2 obscene scenes and the 2 are, a jack off and the second a boobjob, totally meh, if I wanted to see just animation I would go in any porn site, totally unnecessary and yet these two scenes are what in my opinion is the ugliest girl in the game, yes, the developer must have done it on purpose as a tease, which is boring and predictable, because it's a generic attitude of many developers

Not yet, it's not worth it because there's almost no general content and sexual content, just a handjob and a boobjob with the ugliest girl in the game, too bad, but that's what we've got from this game so far, saying that, wait for more updates until we have good content and with the pretty girls, who in my opinion are the captain and the blonde, until then it's going at a pace that will take years, so that's it, I hope I helped you decide if it's worth playing or not

Without any doubts this is the best promising game of 2021 so far to me!
I really like and appreciate the level of attention to all details: visuals, shades, physics, models. And most importantly there is a "sci-fi" story, not a typical house with all harem stuff so a lot of unpredictable things could happen: maybe sperm bank will be stolen and MC would have to deal with all the ladies to keep the continuation of humanity. Maybe there will be some experiments on ladies that will allow them to produce milk thus will increase their breasts even more so MC will be "forced" to deal with it.

To keep long story short: there is the endless options for main story, just don't sacrifice the quality over quantity. Stiglet already proved that his project worth the attention and support but this one is obvious a step up.

Easiest perfect score I could hand out. The renders look incredible, the women are irresistible (especially Veronika) and the story is surprisingly compelling for a porno game. This is a top-tier visual novel.

Has a lot of potential and dev has definitely learned a lot from his last project, renders, character design, animations and writing is top tier.

Story feels like it could get real spicy and a dystopian setting is always fun. Not a big fan of sandbox but hopefully it's not the main focus going forward.

5/5 for now and excited for future updates.
