VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Stay True, Stay You [v0.3.0] [Danson]

Not sure why I disliked this game so much, given that it is really well made and there is nothing in it that is really off-putting. The art is fine, everything seems to be well coded, UI looks smooth and professional, some illusion of choice, no grind. The main problem is that the story is depressingly routine and uninteresting, and to me neither the MC nor the LIs were relatable or likeable in the end. Of course I understand that this is highly subjective, but what can I do. Writing is OK, but not terribly entertaining either.

There is not a single thing about this game that i don't like it's really cool -
1. The models are perfect and looking damn fucking good.

2. The principle looks really perfect not too old looking for her age and not too young either , just perfect and DAMN just look at Miss.Lopez. although i already looked some models like her but man the dev really did a great job in selecting her skin color...

3. The game story is really interesting and little unique to be honest
considering how much i played these games.

4. The MC is really looking perfect not too boy-ish and not too grown up either just perfect.

5. This is just my personal wish ( i know i'm not alone in this ) although this game is harem and since every girl seems to like mc the ONE & ONLY thing that this game is missing is ""incest"" man.... i mean look at mc's mother just awesome man really really great character and since it is harem i really do hope the dev add her to mc's romancable characters list man THIS is the only thing that is missing if the dev added the incest content then it will add a BLAST to the game bro

Super promising. Not sure I've ever seen a cleaner UI from a game around here. The phone conversations are really top notch and feel absolutely organic. The MC is likeable and the writing is pretty good. I definitely feel like I'm getting Mean Girls vibes from the story.

As other people mentioned, the renders are really top in class. This is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Pros: Well done renders, plenty of beautiful women, including a rare GILF, a story that is developing beyond just the women that are around the MC. An active developer who is receptive to feedback.

Cons: Updates are a little slower than most would like to see, the plot is still developing, and the inclusion of the GILF is an acquired taste (however, the content can be skipped). Occasional points where you have to click on a specific item to continue the story (a doorbell for example).

Pet Peeve: Dream sex sequence, I am not a fan of seeing the Love Interests naked or the MC having sex with them before it "really" happens. For me it ruins the excitement of the moment when it finally does happen.

Stay True, Stay You is one of the few games that takes the "young male protagonist in school" and gives it an original spin, instead of being yet another incest game where the main character suddenly develops urges he didn't have until he was very conveniently 18. That is not to say that the plot isn't simplistic so far, but rather that it isn't the exact same rubber stamped plot we've seen thousands of times before. And the plot does feel like there is more going on than a "collect them all" game where the player focuses on lewd scenes only.
The MC starts out in a relationship and the player must decide if he will be honest about it when meeting new love interests or if he will hide that fact as he tries to "score" with them. I am not usually a fan of "forced relationships" but the entire premise of the game is obviously stated in its name, and synopsis, so it wasn't an issue for me.
Beyond that this game doesn't have any proofreading issues, it isn't in "engrish", and the developer listens to honest feedback (and frequents this site). I look forward to seeing where the game goes from here.

I really enjoyed what ''Stay True ,Stay You'' has to offer so far. The renders are lovely, the girls look great (even the gilf principal who I 100 percent support!)

The story seems to be leading to quite an eventful direction, with many different possibilities for the MC.

I was initially skeptical on the ''having a girlfriend from the get go'' idea as I don't normally like having a VN start off in a relationship I feel no attachment to, but it's implemented pretty cleverly here. and as long as Danson keeps the girlfriend active in the story, I am sure it will feel more and more conflicting on whether to ''Stay True, Or Stay You'' as time progresses.

The school theme and living with 3 hot girls might sound like a tired trope at this point, but Danson has proven more than capable of adding his own unique flair and twist to this concept and I really look forward to seeing where he takes it next.

The girls all show promise in having distinctive and unique personalities to differentiate from one another, and all look really great and are accompanied by really clean looking renders. The animations are also pretty good too.

All in all, I really like what this VN has to offer so far and can't wait for future updates. The developer also is a really cool, chill guy and seems to greatly care for this project, which is always great to see.

Amy is possibly the most beautiful girl in all the VNs, and so lovely. Another very interesting character IMO is Sarah.

Some other women are pretty too. There's even a lewd grandma!

Renders, animations and interface are very well done.

The story feels rather logical and realistic, with a bit of drama and a tint of humor sometimes. Good dialogs, proper pacing, interesting and likable characters.

Some people complain that the recent update (0.2.5) had not much story progression, but I like how thoroughly the sex marathon was done.

So no complaints from me, it's definitely 5 stars. Kudos for the developer, and waiting for more!

very well-made game. sad it is still an early version. still not many things to do. But I already like basically all characters in this game. I wish the developer do add some storylines for his ex-gf too. Keep the good work going!

It's very catchy game! even if the school setting is kinda everywhere in these times, i enjoyed this game. Interesting characters and the story could be really promising in future. I definitely place this game in top 10% of school setting games.

Really a story driven game. Cool characters, funny dialogues, a little action too, school dating. It's a complete package, I'm really impressed.

4 STARS for the beautiful design, good looking renders and lovely characters. The visuals feel polished and original, with realistic models. No standard big-titted bimbos but real girls. There's not a lot of actual sex yet but the lewd scenes so far are pretty hot and nicely animated.

I'm not really sure about the relationship point system yet. So far it doesn't seem to affect the story, and you're constantly getting points at pretty random moments, even if you're not making a choice. It doesn't hurt the gameplay though.

-1 STAR for the plot being extremely tacky. I mean, the least you can do when you come up with the 137th 'school-setting' game is to give the story an original twist. But instead you move in with a hot MILF and two female roommates, and on the first day of school you get in a fight with the school bully which results in all the girls (including the principal) falling madly in love with you.
Yeah.... where have I seen that idea before?

I'm also not a big fan of dream sequences. Getting to fuck one of the main characters in your dream very early in the game pretty much kills the suspense for me. Luckily there has been only one erotic dream so far and I hope it will stay that way.

Despite the criticism this is still a very enjoyably game. The story could be better but the light atmosphere and beautiful visuals more than make up for it!

This is a visual novel which I really enjoyed. I love high school/college ones because of the drama and also I am not an old fart hihi.
Story is addictive and the art is really nice, dev also very good at anims!
I want our boy to stay true to his real love but all these other girls are after him....claws are coming out!
There is mystery, drama, fun and the challenge of not letting our poor boy go astray. I cannot wait for his girlfriend to come and meet the girls MC stays with....it may be stormy...

This is a really fun game. Renders and girls are beautiful and characters has different personalites. Looks like choices matters a lot. I like when you have to face consequences. I'm looking forward new updates in the future.

Not much content as of 0.2.3 but it has all the makings of a great game. Interesting story, pretty girls and great renderings. Maybe a little too linear but otherwise spot-on. If done right, it will be a big hit, milfy city big.

The game is great, the models are stunning - the only problem is the updates take forever and the amount of content is super minimal for the amount of time we've had to wait for it. I'd support this developer more if the updates weren't so small. Max 1 hr of gameplay as it stands right now (and that's if you are slow).

Nothing much to elaborate on here since the game pretty much ends before you really get into it. However, based on what's currently out so far, this is a pretty well done game overall.

Render quality is quite pleasing as you can probably tell from the screenshots.

This is one of those VNs that have that 'modern' feel to them compared to the older ones. I can't put my finger on it but it's probably the models etc. Definitely a style I personally prefer.

Story wise ehhh it's not bad but it's not unique YET.
Of course a unique story doesn't mean a good game so i'm not complaining.
Sometimes a generic storyline just told by someone else can feel different too. ( Generic isn't a bad thing )

Audio exists but again the game gets over really fast so I honestly don't even have any moments I remember that made me think 'hey thats some pretty neat audio work' .

The only problem I have is this is a really short version. I understand testing the waters etc but I personally would have preferred something that made me want more.
As of now, I did enjoy the game but I wasn't left with a 'I cant wait to see what happens next' . Guess i'm a sucker for cliffhangers.

The game does look promising and that's why I gave it a 4/5.
Do give it a shot if you have nothing else to play right now but if you're looking for a good story to go through, maybe wait until more episodes are out.

Time to Complete: 1 hour. I timed 1 hour and 17 minutes after getting all the secrets.

TL;DR: A precusor to what I think will turn out to be a really great game.

[~] Story: At the moment, the story is only now just spinning up. The game has only just introduced the main characters from the looks of it and you'll probably get introduced to the lesser characters in the next updates.

[5/5] Renders: This game has consistently great looking renders. Not a single image looks bad, and there's clearly been a ton of effort after rendering put in to ensure every image looks the best it could.

[+3] Secrets: This game has a little replay value in that there are secret images you can unlock by clicking on certain images or objects in the scene. None are all that great at the moment, but the game is only just an hour long and I can see this getting much better in the future.

Good Points
+Renders and animations looks good.
+Characters and main character seems cool but only time will tell.

Bad Points
-Story is pretty basic and not interesting that much i hope DEV will manage write well story with interesting details when he relase new updates.
-Its pretty short. I saw demos longer than this game second version. (Its comment for v.0.21) DEV should start adding new content with more contented updates. Short content updates is not good idea.
-When update ends DEV give us message ''Since I'm only one person trying to develop a high-quality adult game, I need some funding help.'' golden point is ''Since I'm only one person'' well you should try to take your own advice and come out of your own shell. Look the site you will find lots of higher quality adult games than yours. I hope this towards of yours doesnt make this game bad with time...

For The End
It doesnt looks like bad game but it have some flaws. Espacily for playeable content I'm suggesting people play this game at least in episode 5-6 or like that time. Because in episode 2 i can easly tell its just to short.

it doesn't look like every f95 incest game, the quality and the models are so pretty, have transitions and it's not the default Ren'Py quality
the story is so smoth, nothing like a father dying by a car accident and you live with your mom and two sisters (keep calm, i'm a echoes of lust fan too).
it's a short game by now, but is one of my favorites so far

Good game. It has good renders, animations, girls and story. There are, however, two issues, for me:
1) Lack of actual MILFs as love interest of the MC. Rose doesn't look like a MILF to me, just some sort of housewife;
2)The dream wich he makes sex with Rose spoils, for me, the actual first sex that the MC will have. When the time comes that he will actually loses the virginity (he didn't lose with the girlfriend in the route i'm into), the scene won't have the same impact, but that's my opinion.

This is a good game and i hope to se more content.
