It was a rpgm game where you play as a steampunk news reporter or journalist, you live in "the empire" or something similar and you set out to a rogue colony I think, when you arrive you're robbed of all your cash and get to stay at a hotel for free in return for doing something for the owner, I think?
The character kinda looked like caitlyn from league of legends
