i desperately want the v0.59.3, so i can lay the last touches on my step by step walktrough guide. Both Kate, Ren and by extension who they interact with for group events are on hold because of it

Okay, just getting started with this game, it's kinda overwhelming and the several guides rather add to my confusion than mitigate it. So I'm just about to dive into the sandbox and see where it gets me.
I'm wondering though: Do I have to worry about permanently locking myself out of certain content by making wrong choices? Or is everything remediable without having to reload a save?

you cant lock content, but the worst case scenario is that you get a game over for neglecting your family by missing dinners and so on, or you drop out of school by not going there and your attendance drops too much.
many characters progressions are quite linear so you can do them on your own if you actually read what they are saying and not just skip through everything.
Other character progressions are a bit complicated and i believe NO ONE figured that out on their own. you will run into a wall at some point.

Honestly, that mechanic where the family gets pissed off at you for missing meals should be amended. It makes sense in the beginning when the family is starting fresh but once you're having threesomes and foursomes left and right, they can figure out why you're not with them most of the time.

both, the family dinner, and the school attendance should be avoidable at some point in the game as a progression level to unlock.
With the 2nd family and their dinner, it is not possible to attend both dinners unless you invite yours.
But in my case, i think im around 350 days total if not more. At some point there needs to be a vacation or a graduation quest. The school as a whole is pointless if i just go to class every day, so the teacher wants me to blow my load down her throat just because i havent been to her therapy sessions.....
While this game in still in development, there should be a cheat that attendance is 100% and family attraction is 100% at all times so i can just focus on unlocking specific scenes and free-roam the game.

I started playing this in the 0.2X updates... Almost gave up. What did it for me was using the cheats and one of the old WT's. The only way I could do it all and fall in love with the game... And if by some chance I got stuck somewhere, people here always help a lot! Enjoy the game! It's a great one!

not indefinitely. i used one once, and i still got GO after a couple of weeks, so either you have to reset it every now and then, or the cheat doesnt work properly

I ususally reset allure after all interactions so it keeps at maximum at all times.

I don't know what mod you used, but I have when using this mod:

- You can forget about money, you always have 50000.
- You can not worry about the deterioration of relations with NPCs - they always remain at the maximum, even if after some action appears a message that the attitude of such a character to you has deteriorated.
- You don't have to worry about missing a family dinner at 7pm, during my last playthrough of the game, at the end of September, I didn't attend these dinners for 2 in-game months - and nothing. It's just that I devoted that time to developing relationships with my other family and my former neighbour's family.
Allure doesn't go down, you don't have to worry about that.
Motel rooms are taken off (can't remember exactly, I think for 2000 days, as is cable TV).
School has been skipped, but moderately, I can't tell you here what happens if you skip it for months.
These cheats are enough to forget about the console.
I'll skip a couple more updates (to accumulate content, monthly updates are too small) and in the summer I'll try to go through the game again, but definitely with this mod.
