Ren'Py - Stranded Dick [v0.16.5] [Sex and Games]

Way to much grind for no reason. When you have to do the same task like read a book on starting a fire over and over is just stupid. Even though there is a "cheat" mode to progress the story is nothing more than doing the same thing over and over. This game gets boring fast really fast there is no story to keep the involved good concept very bad attempt.

A decent plot/idea ruing by an extremely grinding sandbox.

Look I know Some people like sandboxes and some hate them. I can tolerate one that is not super grindy. This one however is the definition of a grind. Walkthrough/mod is barely helpful for this AVN.

Debatable on this being NTR since she isn't yours, yet but it seems she will be maybe.

A massive rework taking out the point and click sandbox grind and making this more visual novel with Sandbox elements would do a massive increase in this AVN

My real rating is more like 2.5 out of 5. But you might take it 1 out of 5.
- The system is somewhat ok, you can't roll back.
- The core story is not bad.
- UI is 3 out of 5, it takes experiences to not have problems with it.
- Great models, moderate background. Nothing bad.
- Game progress have hints, but not exactly clearly.
- Choices are irrelevents.
The gameplay is mid grinding, but you can bypass that because the game have cheat items itself so not exactly grinding.
BUT - The problem is the quest to advance the story. The real grind here is the quest progress which leads to another problem : the reward sucks ( Unless you enjoy blue balls )
Being as a sandbox games should have proper repeatable scenes, but this is just another game that keep it at bay as long as possible. PLUS the very first girl stay with you have get the first proper sex with her douchbag boyfriend( not even a normal random dude ). And even when it's a part of the character story that benefit the MC, there still barely have any proper sex scenes after 4 years.
THAT and combine with finding little objects for extra pics is totally making the game stupid.

Just finished v0.15 and I must say... What a game.

It takes a bit to get going ... Stranded alone with one girl. But once the game heats up, it does not stop.

I see a lot of negativities around "grinding", but this one is a proper game, more than a VN.

You are on an Island, and you need to do stuff to survive. That is one of the main functions of the game, is to gather enough resources to survive. The relationship with the girl ... and later more is also much more complex than a boy meet girl survival story.

There is a whole backstory and history between them.
Then to address THAT aspect of the game...

There is a section of the game that I did feel dragged a bit. The game consists of flashbacks, but there is giant flashback about what happened on the ship before it sunk that dragged a tiny bit too long to my taste. It was still very enjoyable with a LOT that happened, but I did start to mis my island after a while.

All in all, this took me about 2-3 days to play, and I enjoyed it enormously.

Recommended, but not for a quick fap or someone that wants to just play a VN. This is a proper survival game and part of what I enjoy about it as well as the relationship dynamics between character.

The game itself is below average.

Positives - the graphics, meaning the renders are very nice. They are very nicely done.

Negatives
- It is NTR even though it is not mentioned in the description. ( If someone fucks your LI that is litteraly NTR. I do not understand what are some people yaping about.) The same goes for blow job, hand job, lesbian, milf and so on.

- When I read the reviews of others, it seems like more of a description. Some people write that there is great humor, meaning it is funny. When? Where are the jokes? Or the funny stuff.
- The writer does not speak English well. If there is a spelling issue, which there is, go to Grammarly's website and put the written stuff there so it corrects your spelling—you do not have to pay for it.
- The MC is extremely spineless and oblivious - if he were like this at the beginning and then throughout the game changed to have a little bit of spine, that would be great - there is no progression
- Same goes for other characters, they are so frigid that they will not take their clothes off to wear a bikini. But they had already seen each other naked when they were washing each other.
- I was playing sandbox on the easiest mode, and still it was annoying.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME - ( until it gets cleaned up)

Eine neue Variante, aber sehr gut gemacht. Man braucht sicher eine Weile (zumindest ging es mir so), bis man genau weiß, was man machen soll, aber dann macht es Spaß. Leider gibt es NICHT die Möglichkeit, per Rollback einmal gemachte Entscheidungen zu ändern, aber wenn man es vorher speichert, kann man diesen "Fehler" korrigieren.

Wie auch immer: Das Spiel ist empfehlenswert!

A new variant, but very well done. It certainly takes a while (at least it did for me) until you know exactly what to do, but then it's fun. Unfortunately, it is NOT possible to roll back decisions once you have made them, but if you save them beforehand, you can correct this "mistake".


However, the game is highly recommended!

Most frustrating sex game I've ever tried to finish. The sex scenes are few and far between, with some of the better scenes placed in dumb immersion-breaking flashbacks. The Flashbacks are awful, forcing you to explore a setting that has nothing in it.

So much clicking for so little reward. The objects required to craft take 2 days to respawn. Hope you like crafting lotion, because you will end up needing approximately 200 of it.

Some of the game's options never have positive outcomes, and simply set you back. Why?

Game is kind of a mess, it's needlessly grindy and repetitive just for the sake of it. Seems like an effort just to waste your time.
LIs look good for the most part, but they are also super shallow, not much to them.

While playing, you get the sensation the story is made up at random and does 180s at times for no reason, don't think there is much of a plan to this one.

I get the sense the dev is done with the project and is just adding whatever and seeing if something sticks. (Most likely for a future project).

Best thing he could do is take this VN out back and end it so he can start doing something he actually enjoys.

Let's start with the positives... the 3 characters I've seen (MC, Rachel, & Jessica) are all very well done, with realistic proportions. They are sexy and decently written.

There is a lot wrong with this game....
First, while it says it's "nonlinear", it really is. You cannot go further in certain tasks until you have progressed to certain triggers in a different tasks.

Second, and by far the worst, the grind of finding food and eating twice a day. I cannot tell you how frustrating that is. You have an extremely limited number of moves you can make and some of those, HAVE to be food & wood/other supplies to survive. (I played on survival/normal mode. Not the easy modes.) You are constantly being interrupted by having to eat. I did get to the point that I had quite a lot stockpiled, including crabs & fish, but still, it was extremely annoying.

Third, being held back from accomplishing tasks. You need to get a fire going, but it is a long time into it before you actually do it get going. You have a survival book that you cannot read ahead of time to unlock certain items/tasks, until it has been triggered. And then you only read the section on that one task. Plus, you often have to go through a lengthy process, not related to the task to get it done. (Campfire should have been completed on day one or two and a shelter the following day.)

Other issues.... dev is not a native english speaker and it shows. It's not the worst that I've seen, but it is annoying. Most of the time I know what he meant. Incest patch is buried in the thread. (I never downloaded it.) The game has NTR and it's not avoidable, and it's not listed in the tags.

I've spent several hours playing the game, but I'm done. It's not worth it to me.

I recently tried out Stranded Dick and was honestly pleasantly surprised. The game offers much more than just the usual erotic visual novel experience. The story really pulled me in – you find yourself stranded on a deserted island, and the dynamics with the other characters develop in a fun and engaging way. One thing I particularly liked was the character design. Unlike many other games in this genre, the characters here feel much more realistic. Of course, Stranded Dick is primarily an erotic game, but it has more depth than I initially expected. The interactions are well-written, and it’s clear that the developers put effort into balancing.

Wow. This game is more difficult than the old King's Quests games from the DOS era. Absolutely impossible to figure out, and the dev's poor english doesn't help much either. Crazy how hard this is. I don't know why i wasted so much time trying to figure out how to start a fire, but I'm calling it quits. Hopefully the MC and his angry girlfriend die of exposure.

I like the game, the models are decent the story is serviceable. Scene progression is cool, but it has a big problem which is the survival mini game it's boring ,repetitive , time consuming and serves little to no purpose.

This mechanic is so intrusive and horribly balanced that it takes 2 star off of this game rating and on top of that 3 times a day you need to fill the food/drink bar which is SO much work over the amount of days you play to progress.

This mechanic is still horrible and time consuming with using cheats, that's how bad this mechanic is, the only purpose of this is to make it feel like there is slow progression because 90% of the time you're either giving them food or gathering it.

You will be working a real 9-5 clicking on the same shit over and over again even on the easiest difficulty just to get some decent renders of a handjob/blowjob. The game pretends to be sandbox but the requirements to progress are actually super linear and not very obvious so you will get stuck

First time playing this game and it really is one good example of how one mistake can derail a whole project, that, if we are being honest was never great to begin with.

The game is kind of a mess, repetitive, grindy as fuck with very minimal rewards, with very basic characters and very weird choices even before it went fully to shit. Like having anal first with one of the main LI. The fuck? Who has anal sex before vaginal?? Maybe when dating some Catholic woman that wants to stay "virgin" till marriage, but here it doesn't make any sense, bitch uou already sucking him off and taking it up your shitter, just fuck already.

Anyway, game was mediocre all around but it was ok to waste some time. However, it did a 180 with the introduction of an unnecessary character that is now basically the main character, Steve. From there, Mc got turned into just an spectator. You wanted to fuck mom? Nope, this dude is fucking mom and nutting deep inside her vagina, yes, very nice. Hope she gets some morning after pills, Im sure there are lots of those in a desserted Island. . How about sister, can I has sister? Nope, retard, go pick up some berries or something, meanwhile Steve will go deep inside sister. Same happens with other very forgettable women that are also going to get fucked by other dudes while MC is playing the role of the spectator now, a voyeur loser. And it keeps going and going and it seems like that will be his role from now on.

As I said if you were somewhat enjoying the game that change will drop your experience from 6/10 to 1. Just not an enjoyable game to play.

This game was enjoyable till it took a nosedive the phrase shoot yourself in the foot needs to be upgraded to double tapping your foot. The dev took a good game with great mechanics and a decent enough story and wrecked it. The fact that they have abandoned this game for so long shows they know they messed it up. The game isn't even worth seeing if they fixed what they screwed up in the story, so I don't advise even checking. If your new just know this will be a ton of grinding with minimal rewards for Mc till it wrecks into a brick wall. If you enjoy NTR I will have to warn you that you'll have to grind for hours before it will get remotely interesting for you.

No, just no. Even grindier than I remember, this game does not respect your time, progress is painfully slow and the adult content few and far between. I defy any returning player to reach the new content from scratch having known what tedium they have to endure to get there.

Used to like the game then he decided to put in NTR without it being avoidable, and made every grind the MC did useless. Ran away for a year without any updates and then came back with an update that shouldn't have taken him more then 3months to make.

This game is soooo bad that I'm out of words to describe it.

THE BAD:

- Bugged (I had to fix the code myself during the playthrough to continue)
- Grindy (and not the good type of grind)
- Switch from Harem to Hard NTR (I love NTR, but this is the worst way to do it, and I feel bad for the supporters who got betrayed like that...)
- Good models (yes, it's bad to see beautiful things go to waste like that...)
- And much more... almost everything in fact

THE VERY VERY GOOD:
- This cr*p is abandonned, good riddance

Truly one of my favorite games I've found on f95. A great blend between sandbox and click through. Available mods quickly take the grind away while not messing with the "story". Hope to see the dev return to this game and excited to see his future games.
