VN - Others - Streaming for Love [v0.10.5] [Love-Joint]

This is one of the few AVN's where it's more lacking in the Adult department than the Visual and Novel elements.

As some other reviewers have touched on, this story more closely resembles traditional visual novels than an actual AVN. The protagonist is mundane, the world is pretty bland, the inter-personal relationships are filled with the average kind of melodrama you'd expect from poor communicators in real life.

One of the main issues with this is that the adult content is not only sporadic, but also feels very random. Whenever a sex scene happens, it feels like it happens out of obligation more than natural progression. The first two sex scenes are with complete strangers on your first interaction, and very much feel like asides or afterthoughts. I understand using one-night stands or FWBs, they can be fun ways to make the world feel more expansive, but THIS AVN feels like it completely pauses the story to have these occur, and they feel like they're filling an obligation than making the story more enjoyable.

Perhaps that's due to the glacial pace of the main story. I mean I don't know about anyone else, but the idea of a co-worker I went on one date with, getting pissy at me for going on one date with another woman, feels pretty fucking ridiculous to me. But also, it's just deeply boring. I mean I don't expect constant drama just thrown at you constantly, but this isn't really an engaging story in the first place.

The writing is...fine? I guess? I mean I don't like the story in general and I think it's pretty boring, but if you do like the story then the dialogue is going to do well with you too. It really does capture the kind of "slice of life" you can find at just about every visual novel on Steam.

Great game, good thread. Love-joint producing another playable and interesting game. would recommend. I pay at the $10 rate and find it's good value. Thread is good for tips, tricks and advice. Thanks to all.

Played this on Ch. 8, but actually stopped somewhere at Ch. 1.5.

This is almost an old-school VN rather than an AVN. Heavy focus on dating, heavy usage of sprites and backgrounds rather than going all CG like most AVNs do, taking time with the girls, can't drop any of them early… Mia and her lengthy sex scene is the only odd thing out!

Pros:

1) Writing is decent/okay.
2) Visuals are decent/okay.
3) The girls are likeable.
4) The Chapters are long.

Cons:

1) Severe lack of player agency. The MC actively pursues both MGs, with the player powerless to stop it. I mean, I get that the game is about these two girls, so them both being present is inevitable, but that could happen due to circumstance rather the MC doing one stupid thing after another, breaking immersion.
2) Almost no story. There's a hack that happens early in Ch. 2, but it's quickly forgotten. Otherwise, just 1 guy can't choose between 2 gals, that's the story.
3) Both MGs are very slow slowburns. It wouldn't be so bad if there were an exciting story or SGs, but those aren't present until Ch. 3, which I never reached. Chloe was actually ready to go early on, but the MC wanted to take things slow. His reasoning for that was sound, but he ended up screwing up the whole thing by dating 2 girls simultaneously.
4) The MC is simping after Sophia too much for no reason. He's no nerdy student, he's an adult man characterized as successful at dating, I fully expected him to keep his cool about this whole thing!
5) The Chapters are long, again. Because of this, you play quite a lot of content in order to reach any plot or lewds. It's a slog.

Overall, 3 stars. It's not a bad game, but its game design is stuck between a VN and an AVN.

This is one of the best games I've played here, i literally just pounded out this entire game in one sitting. i love so many of these characters and I absolutely LOVE playing games where MC gets to save a Damsel in Distress. And if you're a slut for twincest like me...buy the additional content cause...DAMN!

Quite an interesting game. An atypical story. A large number of characters. Including a considerable number of diverse girls. I'm looking forward to continuing the game. I hope that she will continue to live up to expectations.

So I liked Shale Hill. I did. This is basically the same game with a new setting.

The writing is still a bit too pretentious and there's too... much of it for the story progression. The mystery/intrigue build up is set up similarly. Also the conflict is extremely constructed this time. It tries to play it off with humor but to be honest, I hoped for more depth.

It's all very samey. I am weirdly ok with it, but it also rubs me the wrong way that there's basically no innovation whatsoever.

Either way, if you liked Shale Hill, you'll like it. Don't expect anything different beyond the setting. This game has the same trajectory.

I personally enjoyed this game more than most games I have played in the last few years. I really like Sophia, like that character is genuinely endearing and made me care about her. Lily finally showing up is the icing on the cake. The villain (so far) is a guy I genuinely want to kick his ass, so good job there. There is a ton of story here and the sex scenes are done well, but what I really love are the characters. They feel like real genuine people with their own lives. We need more games like this. I will check out other games from this dev now. I need more.

This is hard one to rate for me personally. I want to give it 5 stars because to me it is a 5 star game but that is because I have a personal bias because of one of the LI. One part in the game hit me in the feels real good and I can't wait for more with her.

If you are not a fan of the E-girl this game probably won't be for you she is the only reason I enjoy this game. ( She isn't a camgirl or onlyfans just a twitch streamer). The other main LI I find mid or a little boring. The only other girls I find I have a interested in feel like Side girls. So I don't see them getting a path.

Game has a kinetic feel to it. There are choices but as of right now it doesn't feel like they matter. Maybe in future episodes they will.

Story is nothing special in fact there are parts that are frankly boring to me. It took the first 2 or so chapters for me to get into the game. But even still after that point enough parts that are boring here and there. So you really need to be invested in a LI to enjoy this one like I was. But if you can get through the boring parts it is a decent game but nothing special.

Decent animations one of the few games that shows cumshots.

Best friend is also annoying most of the time.

If im being honest this does fee more like 3 star game but im giving it 4 because of how much I enjoyed + my personal bias for 1 of the LI.

The characters feel like a downgrade from Shale Hill Secrets, Double Homework, etc. and I really do not care about some E-Girl streamers. This game feels like it is a game for people who have a parasocial relationships with a streamer.

Just rating because i think it deserves more reviews.

Solid game with a original plot, a story a lot diferent from most games out there.

the game left me always wanting to know what will happen next, so i will be waiting for next update.

I find this one a little more intriguing than Shale Hill Secrets, which I in turn enjoyed much more than Double Homework. That this one is told around adult life and responsibilities, instead of college life or high school hijinx, contributes to its novelty. Not crazy about the point and click segments that have appeared so far, but they've all been skippable. I do hope that MC's drinking problem is eventually addressed, though.

i've been playing this on & off for a while since chapter 2's been out, In my honest opinion, it's Not a bad game so far, i enjoyed the previous game Shale hill secrets & i'll admit i am curious to see how this develops over time.
