im getting a Trojan alert with Windows defender
i tried two different clean installs of the games, the first had the mega image pack while the second just had the basics and am stuck at the loading character stage, this is the log

I uploaded a new version just now as I was getting the error too. And now I'm not. Honestly can't explain why sometimes Windows Defender complains and other times it doesn't.

Yeah, it's crashing while setting up to load the images. Is not even reading the images yet. Did you change anything in the config.dat (or user_config.dat). It's giving an out of bounds error which could mean that there's more of something than room to put it in.
The image system is the same. Time to time Totalfluke has made some new versions of his sets, changing some not-good-enough images, adding pregnant images, and so on, but nothing drastic. All image packs work with 2.0
You have to catch him when he works (the job that you've hired for), then you can talk about work and you can assing him for any other open work he is eligable.

But I think I may enjoy it.
in the first batch i did the change of changing three lines from having just scw to scw,ccw,nyb,exp,gar,dstu,lfm,ofg but the second instal i didn't touch the dat at all and have the same issue

Hello, I feel like the thread lacks a comprehensive instruction on the image packs installation.
Should I install all the image packs or just choose one?
If I install all of them, will they just work or you need to do something after installing them?
In the megapack it says to extract the files into the MAIN directory. (no, you should extract them into the characters folder)
The ofg pack says "Packs are listed with the modkey "ofg" to add them to the game", but I've figured out what that means only after reading the instruction in the mega pack.
This is a bit confusing. I think I've figured it out, and maybe for someone who won't, my post will be helpful.
As far as I've figured out, you can install all the images. To install them, you put all the image folders into the characters folder, and then add their type to the config file.
Initially, the config file had only "image_modules string scw", but if you've downloaded images with different folder names, you should add all the other folder names without the number (just lfm is enough for lfm1, lfm2, lfm3 etc.). The megapack's instruction lacked the "LFMLS" and "LFMSYB" folders, I'm not sure if I should've added them along with LFM but I did just in case. Then added the ofg for one of the additional packs. (you can find the image_modules string using Ctrl+F when you have the config file opened).
Mine looks like this: image_modules string scw,ccw,nyb,exp,gar,dstu,lfm,ofg,lfmls,lfmsyb
Maybe it will help someone. I've found the bits and pieces of instructions for the separate packs a bit confusing.
P.S. The game concept looks great. Love Lab Rats 2, one of my favorite games. Although haven't played this game yet, the image packs installation was kind of a game itself already.
