Thanks for your well thought out feedback. I do have a couple of follow ups.

1. Most events that are not initiated by the MC should not pass time, other than scheduled events such as interviews and dates that the MC is somewhat in control of. The normal interruptions for the most part shouldn't do this. A make out session started by someone else does, but that's the only one I can think of that should do it. If you have some specific ones that are doing this let me know which so I can fix them.

2. Managing workers shifts is in the plan. Right now workers can work 90+ hours/week which is insane. A staff lounge seems like a great idea however. I'll look into that.

3. You can bribe the commissioners. I understand that you can get bad roll and get 4 commissioners with high honor and low lewdness and then you are stuck. They won't pass any law after dancers allowed and you are screwed. Working on a fix for that to allow the replacement of commissioners. Happened to me on my last play test and it was very frustrating.

6. If you hire away the gym or coffee shop worker, they should be replaced? The AI clubs are constantly doing this and I've never seen them not be replaced. But I'll take a closer look.

for 1 the answer to that is denying job posting specifically saying no and when one of your staffer is tired and you tell them to go to the office. it only happens when you get more then one at a time thou. one or two i dont notice any major changes in time but 3+ yes and sometime you can get up to 6 at a time if you got things really going on in the club.

2 you currently got 2 empty rooms on a maxed out club with all laws passed. there you go you got the rooms. hell to go even more into it. one room should be staff louge that can be upgraded to help lower energy loss and the other room should be the training room. you and the office can do alot but like i mentioned with energy it gets to a point where you cant do enough. plus your prety early into this so alot of other rooms can just be upgraded as well to increase gains and decrease loses. upgrading the bars to better equipment would increase gains and lower cost to staff for instence as now its easier to serve drinks

3 thats not really bribing thats more giving them gifts or gaining favor then trying to persuade them to chose to pass a law. no im talking BRIBING bribing. like 10000$+ level of bribs. the current biggest gift you can give is the one time gym pass. like i said i have the money. plus this is a club so we can also use other means of bibery. best example the private room, shady deals and illegal stuff is prety much that rooms specialty. hell it would be a great way to get peoples lewdness up and honor down as well. bring them right into the den of debauchery and corrupt them thru freely given vice

Got hit with a busted pipe and that costed 35k out of the 40 I had saved, plus the club had to close for 6 days in which I had to pay the staff, and taxes. From one event going from 40k savings and no debt to now 8k loan seems way too harsh for just one random event.

From one event going from 40k savings and no debt to now 8k loan seems way too harsh for just one random event.

Tell me about it, I'm playing a male PC, I'm in the AUX Office stage of the game, 3 girlfriends (two working for me, lol), singers and dancers now, not yet fully staffed but close, but finally turning a bit of profit after paying half a grand in interest charges on bank loans for a while. Just Paid 10K for rehab for one of my singers, and she's not going to be working for like 60 days. I actually like this, quite realistic, and yes, punishing, but that's why we play, for the challenge.

Not sure what you mean. The day of the week is displayed on the bottom left along with the date and time of day.

Not sure why but it wasnt actually showing for me. Restarted the game and there it was. Mea culpa for that one.

Still: The UI is mildly said a mess. You have elements overlaying other elements and things are spread all over the place.

I know that making UI isnt easy but the major issues I have are not some detailed ones that require a specialist. The big blocky element you use for both tutorial and messages is covering the list box in the lower left that is supposed to allow for the feedback to be seen while there is loads of space right in the middle of the screen that goes unused.

Same with the clicking the picture of a character while you highlight the entire row - why highlight the row in the first place then? Highlights are intended to guide the user. If it is readability you want then use static colour changes from row to row. Dynamic changes are meant for different things.

The human eye needs resting areas unless you want to get your players to be a nervous mess all the time. Why force the user to check 4 different areas of the screen when most of it fits into a single section in the upper right?

Dont take this the wrong way and just see the criticism. I already mentioned I like the mechanics but the game is a lot about 'managing' something and too many colours and suboptimal UI combined with information spread over several places leave an unorganized impression.

I've celebrated 3 birthdays and still have yet to get topless or public revealing, took me a year just to get dancers.

Community-created images should be stored in directories with names that don't start with scw. However, there's no minimum or maximum number of images that may be stored in a particular directory.

So I put the qwertzasdfyx package in the 'characters' directory and apart from the scw directories, it didn't load the images. Then I tried to place them one by one in each directory, but also without the expected result.

I renamend the folder to "KJ1" before uploading, in my own game directory I used "gar1" and it worked. But from my understanding the folder name shouldn't make any difference. Have you checked the log file?

I wanted to like this game. I did.

But the save slots are showing to be useless.

I can't even get past building an extra room. I played some last night.

the load game slots are automatic saves from last night. That's fine.

Today, I've tried several times to add a room. I'd save games periodically.

Then, a glitch in the game starts and I get the endless spinning hourglass.

I can handle that...but when I try to load it again...the only load game slots that show are the auto saves from last night.

Sorry, but that needs to be fixed.

This would be a long game to get anywhere, and people will waste an hour going back to the same predetermined save spot.

It becomes kinda worthless. Unless its fixed, don't expect the game to become very popular.

It's supposed to hurt but not cripple you. That's probably the high end of the impact they can have.

This is a bit of a mess and I've been meaning to come up with a different way to do it, but once you get the list of characters you need to click on the character thumbnail to bring the character details. Then you can click SELECT in the popup (the button is where normally the Sed Text button goes).

Good news is that being put on probation doesn't do anything yet! But yes, the next version will have some additional options to deal with bad commissioners. As it is right now it may be impossible to get past a certain point.

I ended up making strategic use of the skip day function (certain events like commissioners visiting the club break when that's done, not sure if intentional or a a limit of the feature) and eventually all my goals have finally been reached (I think, because the list of potential laws is drying up)

The Mommy Milkers are free Clubs open hours are generous and the public is less business casual, I hope there's plans for Strip Club & Citywide nudity and public hedonism!

Would be good to have the option to manually pay any loans back ahead of the automated monthly payment.

No sense being restricted to certain quality food / alcohol when you have the ability to cover the loan as well as an order for the highest quality.

2 little things to do with Books

I'd love to see altered is in the Library. If I forget to save and also check my stats before clicking on take out a book... I can't click on my info/stats page without dismissing the book selected and potentially losing the books I need to increase those required skills.

The second little Quality of life would be, once you have a book taken out, have that book visible- e.g. top right corner, as I constantly forget- 1 what book I have out, and 2 I always miss when I have finished reading it, therefore missing out on opportunities to either give it to another character or just return it for a new one.

I'll also mention that I checked if the images would load by replacing the image_id of any character in the save file (well, this method worked when I wanted to replace the image of one character with another that had scw_id). After switching and loading a save, when checking this character's image in "View Contacts", the head image only displayed a black square with a red question mark. During an in-game encounter anywhere, game replaced the character's image with an image with similar character attributes.

In this case, I did another test. I removed all scw subdirectories from the "characters" directory, leaving "Defaults" and the "gar1" directory with your character in it . And I ran SCW.exe. I got this error:



There are usually only 13 characters in the "Defaults" directory. Which would mean that the game completely ignores the "gar1" directory with your character.

There is a line in the config.dat file:

but you mentioned that your character worked for you without modifying this file, so honestly I don't know why it doesn't work for me. Oh well...

Honestly you might have found the reason. I remeber when testing I also exchanged/overwrote various scw-files (files with scw as the modkey) in order to increase the change to come across my image pack. So probably I came across one of those and not actually the one with "gar1" as the modkey.

In the character "tutorial-file" it is written:
"modkey: This is short code identifying what package the image belongs to. All the basic
(vanilla) game images will have the modkey “scw”. Anyone that creates images may do so
using a hopefully unique modkey (and different from 'scw')."

So I guess OP forgot to adjust the code to also load those with a different modkey when creating this file.

I am roughly a year in by now and I am wondering if 'marriage' and 'children' interests have any real outcome yet. I am also wondering how one can move their girlfriend in to ones home as the NPCs do it.
