hey there, tried cuz i saw u were lookin for feedback, so heres some
menus should be clickable, but also at minimum should really work with enter key, i kept tryna press it even after knowing the space bar was correct
the gameplay took some time to get used to since its a relatively different match 3 game from the usual swapping, and was just plain frustrating whenever the bombs would blow up the rainbow gems. also when the screen would cover in skulls and there were just no hearts to be found. if you are looking to make a challenging game, i think there should be a harder mode. the porn audience probably isnt really looking for so much effort to get through the game. also after i beat it, the victory pose lasted all of like 4 seconds before i was booted to menu so, kinda lacking of a result for having to do so much matching. cool that its made with gamemaker tho, i use gamemaker all the time.
I really should put in mouse support at some point, I just hadn't figured out if I wanted it in-game as well. I'll work on at least menu input mousing, that shouldn't be too hard at all.
Yeah, I didn't wanna do a *super* generic Match-3, I wanted to at least do something a little different, hence the sliding gameplay.
The bombs blowing up rainbows is definitely something I need to address (I figured I'd just put a check in to have it reroll position if it'd blow up a rainbow gem)
I often match bombs near skulls just to clear them out, if that helps!
I... could put a difficulty option in, that's not too bad a plan, maybe make Easy mode fill up a bar on any match.
The Victory Pose shoulda stuck there until you pressed a key, but! Good news is, you can go see it in the CG Gallery, the sprites are all put in there as well as a couple full sized event pictures.
And yeah, Game Maker is pretty comfortable for me, it clicks with me way more than Godot or Unity or such.
