I couldn't see my variable (Target X) when modifying float under my characters class name. can't fuigure out how to fix it so I was

Also, are you sure is a good idea to use Unreal Engine for a visual novel?

Have to echo TheExordick here. Unreal isn't exactly a good VN engine. Great for the many other applications, but VNs.

Unity or Ren'py are going to better suited for that.

Scrubbing through the video. I believe you should rewatch from 28:18. That is where the var "Target X" starts. If you still run into errors, you might have to go back further in video and make sure you setup your BP's correctly.
