Study With Me - Epilogue
Studying is something all students have to go through in life. And let’s be honest, we can all use a little help when it comes to the things we’re not that good at. Fortunately, Ryder is good at English and not so good at dealing with women. That’s where the women in his life come in - who actually do more harm than good, it seems.
STORY After playing the game, it’s still quite hard to make out what happened. You’re Ryder, a college kid who’s good at English. You’re sharing a room with Reya, a girl who you think is hot and preys on you as well. There’s a different girl, Dove - who you see as your future girlfriend - but Reya isn’t having any of it, it seems. She lusts on you and asks you to study with her to improve her grades.
Basically your story is either you go after Reya or after Dove. Along the way, MC’s mother Mandy comes into the story (as the English teacher) and if you play your cards right - you can have a family moment at the end. The story doesn’t make sense and I wish the developer would have laid out a better short story. Seeing as how much dialogue and screens there are, it could have really been something nice.
PRESENTATION Presentation is a mixed bag. The game starts out with grainy renders, which would almost make you want to quit the game. After a few minutes (or two scenes), the renders are far less grainy and the graphics are actually watchable. There’s no real detail to the scenes and while there are about a dozen scenes in the short game, they don’t really matter much for the story.
It’s good enough for a short story, but honestly in order to impress the graphics should be a bit more detailed or at the very least stand out more. The intimate scenes (there’s no actual penetration) aren’t much either. While the MC is hung like a horse, blowjobs seems to be the only thing this game is interested in.
GAMEPLAY You have a few choices - basically you pick between Reya or Dove. Nothing special.
OVERALL Started off slow, picked up a bit in the middle but fell flat in the end. The good thing about this game is that it isn’t too long. But the language is a mess and by the end, you still haven’t figured out what happened and eventually happens. Either you run away with your pretend-girlfriend, have a sex fantasy with the girl who preys on you or.. well, mom.
That should tell you enough. It’s just not good enough, but it could be with a bit more effort. And frankly, a better storywriter.
5/10
