Hi!
I previously posted the first version of my game and now I have an update ready.
I’m not sure how to properly update the thread or if I need moderator help to do it.
Could you please let me know the correct process?
Thank you so much for your time!

Best regards

go to your game thread and click on "report" then "game update" and give the link to the new update.

ask for a dev badge if you want to be able to update the thread yourself

But do I have to edit the thread first? I mean, to upload new images or update the changelog, etc.
Sorry, this is new to me.

If you don't want ownership the thread will be managed by a uploader. In that case report the thread "game update" provide links to new version, changelog, version number, new tags if there are any.

If you want thread ownership, open a ticket.

oh you already own the thread, i didnt see that. you dont have to edit anything if you dont want to. you can wait until it has been updated and then for instance change screenshots to better reflect the current game. changelog you can provide when giving the new update and they will add it

you could add everything yourself, at least 3 mirrors of the new update. then you must report it for it to be promoted on latest update

So, what I should do is edit the thread (provide links to the new version) and report the thread “game update,” or should I just include the links to the new version in the report? :3

i think i already answered it? dont know what more info you need. up to you if you want to update it all yourself or just give them the link and let them do it. but if you update it yourself, you must make a report asking for the update to be promoted or it wont show up on latest update

Some friendly advice... Open a ticket and get a Dev badge. It's not just for show, it gives you access to a private dev only forum that has all the info you need about uploading, promoting, and overall dev stuff.
