This game is frustrating to rate. Its strong points are excellent, yet at the same time it has glaring issues in several key areas.
All in all, this probably isn't so much a 5/10 as it will be a "deleted in under 30 minutes" for some and 4 or even 5 stars for others.
On the positive side, care and attention is given to the character models. Facial expressions, poses and mannerisms change when appropriate and matches the current dialogue or actions taking place.
Additionally, effort is put in the visual presentation of what's taking place as well. The dev(s) even know of the mystical art of "object permanence" and "just because it's offscreen doesn't mean it stopped existing". Which is something even some actual professional writers have issues with.
The smut is a neutral point. The scenes are okay - character models are fine, there's no egregious clipping and the accompanying actions are decent enough. It's nothing stellar but all in all serviceable enough.
This would've been landing better if the characters actually came alive during the scenes, but they don't. In fact, that's probably a good cue to move to the first of this game's 2 major problems.
Characters, their actions and their place in the world.
Simply put, there are very few 'characters' in this game. Most are at best a trope, at worst one dimensional cardboard cutouts there to move the plot along then quickly exit stage again.
It unfortunately also does not help that first impressions for a lot of the cast are, to put it mildly, poor. Some are needlessly violent or combative, others are frankly just acting bizarre for no discernable reasons.
First impressions matter, and you only get one per character.
If they fail to hook the reader you need to do a lot of legwork to get them (re)invested and if too many characters fail to land in the attention zone, your audience will tune out.
The MC himself is unfortunately also a big issue. To be fair, there might be extenuating circumstances introduced early on, but the MC doesn't really seem to be all there. He fails to question the most basic things, is about as sharp as cheese wheel and as observant as me before morning coffee. His emotional (im)maturity is probably explainable away thanks to abovementioned circumstances, but even then he's seemingly not the sharpest tool in the shed. And when that looks like the main driver of "conflict" in the sory it ends up feeling inorganic and contrived.
This also leads into point two: Writing. For all the dev's praiseworthy skill in visual storytelling their actual textual storytelling chops are lagging FAR behind.
Grammatically this isn't great. There's grammatical mishaps, poor word choices and the (not so) occasional typo is also present. But all that can be forgiven and more importantly fixed with some TLC and a proofreader or two.
Worse is that the dev doesn't seem to be able to reliably string story beats together. The plot is a jumble of disjointed scenes strung together by And-Then storytelling and "drama" points that usually resolve themselves before the next conversation is over.
This means that there's both essentially no stakes and no real buildup. Nothing ends up being really established and a lot of odd, out-of-left-field moments and "wacky hijinks" appear - meant to be funny but often just ending up confusing.
Because the story fails to establish foundations, let alone stakes or causes and effects / actions & consequences anything may happen and anything is allowed. Which again undermines interest in the story.
Lose a vital organ? No problem, it's just a debuff & you can just shove it back in some days later. You even get a free smut scene inbetween!
Get beaten to a pulp? No problem, as long as your health exceeds 1 you have no deleterious effect at all, just walk it off.
Not betray your boss the first chance you get? YOU DIED. Wait, what?
It also doesn't help that consistency and worldbuilding is sacrificed far too often for cheap laughs.
And that's the thing here, characters never get the chance to develop beyond tropes. Everything is sacrificed for a cheap joke or two. And that kills tension and lowers investment. Anything can happen because 'it would be funny if it did'.
And to make matters worse, the humor chosen is an acquired taste. So if it doesn't land the first 6 times you're probably rushing for the exit.
So, to summarize:
If the humor lands for you, you're probably going to have a blast with this game.
If you don't much care for story in your smut game it might be worth a try if the models draw your interest. It might be long stretches of clicking for the next scene though, so YMMV.
If the humor doesn't land for you, it's probably best to keep clear.
If you want something truly gripping and engaging to read, or are looking for genuinely fleshed out love interests then this game will keep itself in the shallow end of the storytelling pool for long enough that you, like me, will lose interest eventually and quit.
