VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Summer Haze 1 [v1.10 Ch.1] [JDseal -DSS-]

The artwork is amazing, that's about the only good thing I can say about this project. From what I understand, the artist was trying to turn one of their comics into a visual novel. But from the fact that it was abandoned, I guess the experiment wasn't successful.
It makes sense why it didn't work out:

• there's no real story -it's more like a standalone episode from a comic, not a full visual novel).
• there's also no gameplay (no choices, no dialogue options, just watching a story unfold)
• there's even no audio! - no background music, no voice acting, nothing. That's a big miss for a visual novel.

But the graphics and animations are great, I'll give the artist that. I liked his style, maybe I'll check out some of his other comics later.

Love JDSeal's work in comics, while this is still only a barely animated comic VN it's got that unquestionably good art style and if JDS is branching out to try a hand at Ren'py that's worth giving a shot and at least seeing if it develops into anything solid. Good luck improving in this medium, just don't neglect the comics.

It is ture that this is not like a game but a visual novel, as the writer said. But maybe because I just enjoy reading this novel, but the story is very good and attarctive compared to most incest games with unreasonable or very rough storyline. I love it very much!

i love the artwork. but the text formating is off: but sometimes the sentence finnishes on the next textbox. don't know if that has anything to do with window resolution or text size. And i dislike the animated frames that overlap with the next animated frame. But overall i love the artwork and in this format its cooler the the normal comic versions. great stuff.

Just a 2 minute comic ported to ren'py. It didn't translate very well and there was no point at all in doing it.

This is only useful as an introduction to JDseal's artwork. They're an established artist, been drawing porn comics for years (has 2500 subscribers hot damn.) All their comics are incest and will all have a similar feel and look. All the characters say "Mommy!" about 5000% too much for my taste but, maybe you're into that.

Great artist meets his first VN project and fails pretty much in every area. Graphic tiles are all thrown in seemingly at random and overlap, the text is all chopped up and difficult to follow, not to even mention the quality thereof.

Would love to see more of his art in future games, but - if you excuse the crudeness - preferably games made by someone else.

Good art, though the gameplay feels a bit aimless. Still, the writing is decent, it could be that the translation is what hinders the story. Great potential regardless. Please, do continue to explore more types of taboo kinks. Looking forward to the next story

Pretty solid in the term of art style is nice, the comic itself and the length doesn't really justify it port to Ren'Py at all.
the dialogue is weak, it's porn tier dialogue.
all and all. I'd love to see more of this stuff.
