    Environments:
Sandbox is fixed focal point and not a 3D space. Sex is not based on environments either. You can't say... point and click to a spot on the screen and go there... it has to be on a location marker or a person. Feels limited.

    Concept:
Has a rumor system and focus on friendships (or enemies) in a more robust social system that shows bonds NPCs have with each other and you. This all sounds great, but NPCs will either stalk you to death, cockblocking with insane precision, or if they're turning you down. There's a problem with character imbalance, everyone is one extreme or another.

    Character Creator:
Character creator is good, but lacking compared to other ILL games like KK Party/Sunshine or COM. There are only 20 accessories to add as opposed to 30-45 or so from KK games (which makes the modding so sweet). You can't change the color of your peen either, which means your donk will be white should you create a demon, orc, minority, cat man, or any whatever. Not sure if you can edit the vagina skins either.

H-Scenes - From decent to so-so. If you're familiar with Koikatsu, you'll find it lacking. You can't kiss during sex (there are 2 dedicated positions for it), no sucking boobs or nipples, no 69... If you create a Futa, you will not touch the PP... it's simply there. H scenes are more or less scene selectors... but you can change your pace/speed and intensity of thrusts/grind. There's 3 somes... FFM and MMF combinations, but I think M on M isn't in the game (but you can romance them).

    Controls:
You can go to The instruction manual and get pointers, but it never tells you how to pull out after sex (you can do this by scrolling down on the mouse wheel right after sex ends) nor that setting up dates = BBQ cookouts. There are no "dates" in a traditional sense (no movies or amusement parks, dinner, netflix and chill moments). If there's a jumble of characters mobbed around you (due to the stalking nature of the game) you'll have a hard time selecting your target to talk to. You'll need to go into menu and select them, then the action... and even after this, you may probably be interrupted by someone (this happens A LOT). This would be an interesting mechanic in it's own right, but it is a constant issue and makes it a frustrating experience when 5 people rotate and disrupt your simple conversation or when you want to pat someone on the head... making a simple interaction take up half an entire day at times.

    TLDR:
    3 Stars
(Illusion vets will hope for more out of a new rebranded Illusion-ILL Games and get less, and people or those who don't care will find some fun with character creation before moving to more robust games.

Frustrating game but addictive. You'll be yelling "Get the fuck away from me" but you'll stay for the dedicated wifus.

Before I start, I will say I spent no more than around 15-30 minutes playing it. And unlike other Illusion games, this was like with their other game in that it didn't really keep much interest to keep going.

Step back from both Koikatsu and Artificial Academy 2. It tries to play like the latter but it didn't feel that alive or worth exploring. And compared to Koikatsu, you can't really explore because it tries to play like Artificial Academy 2 except everyone is not some anime school character but rather someone with either a part time job or no job.

I never was big into Illusions games beyond Honey Select 2, Koikatsu, Artificial Academy 2, and Ai Shoujo but seeing Illusions roster of older games, I honestly would rather see Illgames make something other than just a Honey Select clone or a Artificial Academy clone. At least making something copying Des Blood or Battle Raper but with this anime style they use would feel more refreshing or not feel like a step back in some sense. Overall it's alright, better than Room Girl but honestly, this is just an average game.

    Zero gameplay.
I installed official language translation and played it like you suppose to.
It worse than Koikatsu and AA2. It was exiting on paper but in reality interactions are just boring. They build small open world but didn't create a purpose for it. Visuallly game looks better but it lack of Koikatsu deep costumization. We thought that Koikatsu was step back after AA2, but this one is worse.

From another perspective this is a solid base and could be transformed into a great game. Just add meaningful gameplay and more customization.

    UPDATE:
Is AA2 better than SVS? Yes, and that's 100% thanks to modding.
I played SVS first, then AA2 and I stopped playing SVS.
The community used mods to make the simulation interesting in AA2. The devs didn't copy their homework for SVS.

    Original review:
First ILL game, this is game is great and already took weeks of my life.
    No regrets.

If you're also new to this, I think it's a must-try. Spend some time getting community character cards you like and give this a bit of time to show both lovable and steamy moments.

But multiple relationship mechanics are unbalanced and once you try for some more difficult goals than get laid, you will need to edit character traits and pull up the cheats menu.

Blackmail for example is difficult to do, and basically impossible to escape from. When it does happen it... adds almost nothing to the interactions. Little more than an unfinished status label.

Or try setting up a love triangle between two girls who are "Charming" you can try for hours and they'll still hate each other.

Makes me curious how AA2 relationships work.
    4/5: needs relationship sim reworking.

    SUMMARY
So i must admit, initially this seemed great. better graphics, more detailed animations. some more animation offerings ie, eating ass, fingering ass etc. but after a couple hours it just gets boring. its very repetitive. and unfortunately due to the lack of user made content, its boring. i went through hoping to be able to persue M/M relationships, and M/trans relationships and initially it seemed promising. being able to have futanari's and the males chasing you for intimacy and sex.

then you get to the gameplay, and realise its a fuckin gimmick. the male scenes dont exist, sure you can kiss and hug, and flirt to your hearts content, but theres zero groping animations, when it comes to sex scenes, its a fade to white, and then a basic "hmm" to imply something happened, BUT ZERO SEX. between male and male.

and when it comes to the futanari aspect, its a gimmick yet again.the females dont have any DICK at all. not during normal exploring, nor during sex scenes.

card swaps dont work. ive tried moving a male character to the female section, NOPE the game doesnt recognise it. i even though "hmm, maybe if i change the cards "M" to a "F" would that work? NOPE.

so its strictly straight stuff. which sucks. the silver lining would've been chicks with dicks, but thats only a thing through the options, and no actual futas in text form, or physicality..

the customisations are okay, but still lack. theres not enough personality packs. i didnt like AA2, as it was a huge pain in the ass to just get it running, let alone with mods. so i didnt have much of a great experience with that either. now the style of games interest me, been wanting to get into themfor the longest time. but outside of confusing guides, games like this dont offer much in terms of an all in one modded package.

but with SVS, mods are pretty much none existent. so kiss goodbye to traps, trans, shemales, futas, gay content, better personalities, more taboo stuff such as murder to expand on the gameplay systems, ie "caught cheating, gets killed" etc. the roleplay potential here could be something fantastic, something great that even rivals AA2 andKKS, but yeah. its lacking in content. it truly is.

once youve played around for a couple hours, youve done everything. theres no indepth relationship mechanics and systems, theres no indepth friendship stuff. small amounts of activities, and places to explore. theres a school, but its an after thought, you dont have to attend, nor is it enforced.

everyone follows you. you try get some privacy, and nope. everyone will follow. sure you can change settings, but still.

this game could be phenomenal, but the lack of content and mods, fleshing out existing systems..atm its just a glorified animation viewer at most, with some REALLY light relationship mechanics.. and"relationship mechanics" is abit of a stretch.

has huge potential, but without fledging out and expanding upon what it already has, and user made content flooding in. its not anything to shout home about.

fancy a quick wank? this is your game. but it has nothing of significance at this present moment in time.

3 stars average, for an average game. i hope to revise this review in time. but atm its just meh.

    WISHLIST
1- Gay content fully fledged out along side straight animations
2- FUTAS ACTUALLY HAVING DICK AND BALLS
3- FLEDGING OUT RELATIONSHIP SYSTEMS, AS THEYRE LACKLUSTRE
4- OPENING UP TO USERMADE CONTENT, AS THAT WAS WHAT MADE THE OTHER GAMES AS LOVED AS THEY WERE/ARE.

    NOTES:

i do feel this game although is a step in the right direction in terms of graphical fidelity, its unfortunately a step back in every other direction.

    1. the sex scenes are worse. theyve removed more player control that was present in previous games.. why? no clue. but the sex scenes are shallow in comparison to its previous entries, giving you a floating scene, and limited control during, ie, speed and depth, and thats it. no grabbing and playing mid scene, no immersion in your enviroment as you're in a blank space.

    2. the sex scenes are lack lustre in general, with the lack of options.

    3. theyve intentionally made it harder to create mods, which goes against why their previous games were so successful. im sorry to say ILLGames, but your games arent THAT great. and what made people enjoy them was inherently other peoples CUSTOM MADE PLAYER MODS.

    4. the game runs like shit, even on newer systems, which has always notoriously been the case. their messy code shows in how 1. difficult it can be to mod, and just how it runs

my personal recommendations are either sunshine or the base koikatsu, alot more mods, cards, and player freedom/interactability.

A spiritual successor to AA2, and generally I think it's generally a downgrade but still a relatively decent game regardless.

Graphically, it's an upgrade - the character models, environments all look great and are of high fidelity, and when compared to AA2, the animations during H-gameplay are much more convincing (even though they're not perfect), but that's to be expected given how AA2 was released more than a decade ago.

In terms of gameplay, it's a huge letdown. It shares many mechanics and gameplay elements as AA2 without adding much of anything new - however, they have put seemingly zero effort in balancing or playtesting this game given how you can go from strangers to lovers in around 3 conversations with someone. This fact alone invalidates most of the game's mechanics (given how relationships are trivial) and pretty much turns it into a sex simulator with some extra steps at the beginning like what Koikatsu is.

There's also the problem of what I suppose could be described as optimization that makes the game tedious to play compared to the predecesor. Every map zone is now separate, with loading/transition screens between each one, meaning it's rather tedious to traverse in case you want to reach someone or get to the shrine or whatever. Combine this with the fact that you still have to physically move from place to place, and just the process of moving between maps becomes and absolute chore. They could have partially solved this by having your character teleport between places to minimize the amount of loading screens required, but instead they seem to have copied AA2 with no consideration for why walking as a mechanic worked there.

The H-gameplay has been improved - now you can actually customize the intensity of the scene, there's a new button that allows you to hear girl's inner thoughts and theres still quite a few positions you can choose. All of these are great, no complaints to really be found here apart from there being no 3D spaces.

All in all, if the game is as moddable as AA2 then it could become much better with just a couple of tweaks, but from what i've read so far, that's not the case. Still, I disagree with most reviewers calling the game "hot garbage" because it didn't live up to AA2's expectations - like yes, it's not as good, but on it's own the game is still decent and of much better quality than most things found on this site.

A step down from Artificial Academy 2

I got the game from elsewhere, It take quite a week or about that long to arrive here. It has DLC and everything but it has no original character for those DLC girls and guy so you will feel that this game is very small for the size of the game.
    Why it is step down?
Less impactful relationship you can cheat and if you got caught. They barely mention about it.
Not as raw/violate = less impactful to gameplay. AA2 if you cheat or doing bad thing you get slap or punch. This little details add much into life sim game but it barely here. I suspect it might have to do with modern Japan are less into raw and realism in anime or trying to appeal to modern audience during the time this game were made which make everything feel mediocre and up coming steam release seem to change original character too. They look different. I suspect they going extra miles to change voice for them too or...maybe surpise they have eng dub which we never know

    Not all is bad
Beside lack of new map/WORST smaller map and with only 8 pop you already feel cramp. The sex part of the game is not that bad. It okish that it not step up or down from AA2 but since relationship is part of this and it get downgrade like You barely able to tell if character are sads or happy unlike AA2 that they will scream to let you know when you greet them and much more if you have play AA2. You will feel you commit to something at least but this? it feel you just play video game and talk with NPC anime girl in game and not to mention many element mini game were cut and replace by meaning less little thing like why bother study? if it has no value unlike Koikatsu they make you success in conversation with girls

The character creation are improve by taken or inspire by Koikatsu another series before this. I try to look into and it cool but with mod it will be more nicer and there are quite community site already making meme worthy character and good characters

    Modding can improve the game
I side with dev must perfect their game themsalve not us or anyone else have to do it. At least I knowing that they not Nintendo to stop modding scene. This game still have potential in modding scene since the engine are improved from AA2. Who knows maybe someone will port those AA2 and 1 Personality into the game and expand the map more and some gameplay element

    It is okey
Today modern standard are very very low to most of people because of video game are evolving backward but for me I finding this not ok. It need more improvement. Someone should suggest to dev that they must add something worth the price if you going to pay for this package. The game not worth the price right now maybe if they add kitsune character with new personality in secret new map you can go to and she should provide improvement to the game like maybe they have more interaction with other girls and assist you like guide or something that improve or add more to gameplay because everything you do feel meaningless

Hey, maybe the game will be improve more in future! like some people saying around here that AA2 were bad during release which i still innoncet know nothing and wasn't there but for sure I can say that game still not finish and there might be more coming in future. So keeping in touch with the game time to time but for now. I disappointing with many modern standard of the game we are in

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

    The Good.
Overall The Rendering Locks Rather Nice, everything fits nicely in to the overall Art Style, Even The UI looks Rather Nice. and the Music is rather catchy and i caught myself Enjoying it too.
Also of Interest is the the rather Complex Interaction System, and its many options to interact with an Character if even if the Dialog is Lacking a bit

    The Bad.
Wile the Character can move Freely throughout the map its with an Asymmetric Fixt Camara System, what makes Selecting other NPCs Rather Annoying, i rather Move With in the World in 1st or 3rd Person Camara and using WSAD Instead of Point n' Click
and Yet Again the Interaction System, This time The dialog System, the actual things you say feel more like a Placeholder from Dev Time that meant to be filled with actual Interactions instead of He / She Agrees / Disagrees Prompts.

    The Ugly

The In game Cards Server is just Horrible, first of all it takes a solid 3min to update the connection to the Host Server and when you finely got in to the browser, the turning of pages is just Awful everything. the game Lodes the next Page ONE CARD at a time taking solid 30 seconds to lode the new page that could have been done in the background, preloading 3 or 4 pages Upfront making the Browsing more Enjoyable, ignoring that you can only downloaded one card at a time.
Ervine Worse are the Sex Scans themself basically your character is Flying with your partner in a total Void + an nice background Image not like older games with in an in game 3D location, ware you could sit, lay or stand is specific spots

    KoaKoara

A nice stimulation game that can gives you lots off roleplaying potential.
I have seen replies and reviews comparing this to AA2, but I don't know what that is
Eh, overall, for 40GB game folder size, it runs smoothly, with the DLC incorporated into the game, too I believe, which will give you a lot more customization you can add for your character.

Nice Illusion game, but for the moment there's not much to do.
It feels like 0.1% of what AA2 got to be at their best, so maybe we just need to wait for a while for it to grow.
Still it feels fun to play
  11. 5.00 star(s)

    SuceT

Way better than 99.99999999% of the things in this website. Still a downgrade outside of graphics from AA2, but I can't just let a game of this quality have 3.3 stars average rating. This is still a good game.

However please, don't buy the game, just pirate it. Illusion are assholes that restrain modding to sell DLCs. Play the game for free.

    epicwaterbottle999

Worse, smaller AA2 with Koikatsu graphics. Needs a lot more locations in the game. It feels more like a demo than a full fledged game. Makes me more hyped for the sequel though if Illusion iterates on this.

    > review for version i dunno lol
    > super fuckin mid so far

Amen brother, my review stays too. I wish one day ILLGAMES will start working on either implementing mechanics from several games they made, or inventing something new. This is a reduced version of AA2 with Koikatu graphics, we're not talking about anything new here, we are losing what we already have!

So, AVERAGE (3/5) is totally deserved. Hell, there are 'indie' games with Live2D interactive H-scenes, but I guess, never from this studio.
  14. 4.00 star(s)

    PlayDat

The mechanics are almost the same as AA2, overall VERY similar game with updated graphics, also a bit more polished.

Other than that, nothing new: if you played AA2, you know to expect talk/activity spam, integrated "cheat" settings, character creator (this time it's part of the game), char roster, statue to view relationships, NPC interruption combo chains, etc...

Solid base game IMO, naturally lacking all the great features that modding brought to AA2/AAU.

review for version i dunno lol

super fuckin mid so far, maybe i was expecting too much, maybe i have too much nostalgia for past games, but this shit be lacking frfr.
will update rating if future updates make it better, and if the mod scene pops off.
