Ren'Py - Completed - Summer with Mia [S1 v1.5.2 Steam] [Inceton]

Started it without expecting much, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It's long even if you skip most of the dialogue and scenes are quite good, it's got a good amount of kinky stuff if NTR and incest stuff floats your boat, and the models are quite nice. Plus, even though story isn't something I care much about when playing H games, this one is decent enough and doesn't go into absurd stuff, keeping things logical within it's own world, so that's another plus. Overall, a very solid game for which I recomend having separate saves for different scenes you want to replay, the gallery mod, or both.

I don't know, after finishing the game I feel like I should like it very much, but honestly I just found it very bland. Girls are hot, h-scenes are good, mature moments here and there, but I don't think the story ever reaches a high; just kind of go on and on and then by the end you are greeted with "See you in Summer with Mia 2".

Pros:

+ Lots of sexy content

Cons:
- Trivial story plot and disappointing (but somehow realistiic) ending

What can I say more? Surely it could use more polishing (like deeper characters, better MC) but hey... It's still really good game to play.

Good game

I absolutely love this game. This was the very first adult visual novel game I've ever played and I fell in love with it. Mia And Emma are THE hottest girls in this game period. I honestly was hoping Mia and Emma would enter in a three-way polygamous relationship with the main character. Ending was extremely heartbreaking for me, but it got me interested in what was gonna happen in SwM 2 (as I had discovered this game after episodes of 2 were already released). I didn't like the fact that MC went after their mom. I really wanted Mia and MC to be together. I love Mia!

After playing dozens of adult games, what can I say - this game just had it for me. Summer with Mia has it all in different proportions, graphics, characters, sorry and it's not quite as predicable as I thought. Sure, it could have been longer, more explicit and certain things better planed, however it works and let's hope that the second part will improve this aspects.

start was kinda eh, but the more i played it the more i wanted to know what happens and how the MC fucks the girls. ending was semi-predictable but still intense. for a random find this was def a good game : )

This game is actually rather good. Only chat lines and sex scenes, no grinding for stats or money, and beyond the earlier portions, there's hardly any clicking seeking for junk, and the game does a fantastic job of building the key characters and their relationship with the MC, and even the finale surprised me. I would have loved a traditional harem conclusion, but since a sequel is in the pipeline, I'm happy with something unconventional that really makes sense and is emotionally engaging. Can't wait to play season 2!

I have yet to finish the game, not entirely sure i will tho ... havent decided yet.

Initially i was going to give this a 2 star rating but after some more thought ... i decided to edit this review and go to 1 star. Sorry but this game aint for me.
Credit where credit is due, animations were quite good.

There isnt much of a story here which is one of the main reasons it gets this low of a score. There is no romance, it just goes straight to fucking for the sake of fucking, no love involved, just fucking because everyone is horny and there are also almost 0 inhibitions.

Oh and the MC is a fucking moron, spineless pussy that would do ANYTHING to fuck someone, even go as far as rape (luckly it doesnt really happen here but it was THIS close to actually happen). Speaking of characters within the game ... i hated every single one of them. There was no one i managed to get attached to, i cared about no one.
Even the main LI (i think she was the main one ... not sure at this point). She is just a slut that gets influenced by anyone and everyone ... she is also not very smart.

One other thing that bugs me ... whats with the horse size dicks everywhere? Just make a large dick that is also somewhat realistic ... whats the obsession with horse size dicks?

Also, there is NTR. Im not a fan of NTR (i dont hate it but id rather not have it)
Good thing is you can disable NTR at the start of the game
Bad thing is even if you disable NTR content, not all scenes are indeed disabled. There is at least 1 scene that still happens, regardless of what you chose (as far as i have seen)

When i started the game i hoped this would be something similar to Haley's Story (my all time favorite for brother/sister story) but sadly it wasnt.
There is little to no buildup, no romance between characters ...

I prefer a longer story, with buildup and proper romance, seduction etc ...

Preface: When it comes to Adult Interactive Fiction (AIF) I look for more than just masturbation material. I, generally don't even do that. The primary thing I'm looking for is a story that draws me in and makes me care about the characters, first and foremost.

Review for Final Content Update:

Story: There really isn't much in the way of story or plot. The basic gist is that the MC is extremely horny. That, in and of itself, isn't a deal breaker. The problem comes from the lengths he'll go to have sex with his sister and mother. Bluntly put, rape isn't something the MC shies from if it gets him laid. Drugging drinks, blackmail and swapping out his mother's prescription meds are not off limits for him. Mia is written, to me at least, as a dumbass who can't make a rational decision each time the MC does something shady to get his dick wet. Reached Act 3 and had to stop playing as there wasn't anything in the game I found could keep me interested.

Visuals: The models are mediocre to good. There are definitely better ones out there but there are also worse ones too. The characters look "plastic" like, not realistic. The MC is depicted with a comically large penis. Some scenes look like it hangs down to his knees while flaccid. Environments seem to be a bit more unique compared to other games.

Audio: I tend to play most video games muted, so I can't comment on them.

Content: There is a decent variety of content. Anal, vaginal, blowjobs, three ways, face sitting, voyeurism, rape/drugging/non-consent and it doesn't take long to get to it. It took me about four hours to reach Act 3 before stopping. I don't know how much more there is after that.

Overall, this type of content does not appeal to me. If all you want is some decent masturbation material, you'll find it here but don't expect too much more from it. I give it three stars because it's not the type of content I enjoy.

At 1st I genuinely hated the MC for being such a perverted lil bastard that had no principles (he even tittyfucked his own sleeping mother) still as the story progresses he gets better. I don't know Y many hated Sam(maybe cuz I chose NTR OFF) but he was a funny chap who was occasionally funny. Character models were great, sex animations were all over the place most were extremely well made & some were just cheap ass dolls. I really enjoyed the character chemistry too.

This is a simple game, no complexity short and to the point. I would have no problem with a simple porn game which has no depth and the characters are just fuck dolls as this game does. But the MC is a complete and utter dipshit so makes playing through this game a chore, as he continues to bumble his way around. The MC's plan for getting into girls pants for every situation is this game is to blackmail, drug or rape them. Already pretty rocky right there. If he wasn't such a douche then you have his even bigger cunt of a friend Sam. Sam is so annoying no one in the game likes him, I don't even think the MC likes him he just uses him to obtain more sexual situations with his sister. Now we get to my biggest turn off with the game, forced sharing or NTR. Also having to share with an annoying cunt who is somehow worse than the MC makes it worse.

The one positive this game has is the animations are fantastic and the girls are attractive. It is a bummer that the rest falls flat or just completely fails. This game had potential now it seems wasted...

I have quite mixed feelings about it. I started playing Summer with Mia 2 before part 1. I really liked swm2 so far, However this game is just a porn game. It has great animations and models especially for the time it was made.The characters are cool even though mia looks a bit doll like. emma is great,her character and plotting is a strong side of this game. However the story is uninteresting. Besides emma's plotting , the story is basically just trying to get laid and then fucking and being more and more depraved. Only at the very end mia develops feelings for mc and wants to stop what's she's doing. She starts thinking about future but finds out that mc has a romance with their mom. She leaves to start a new life away from mc and their shady past. Thats the part when story got interesting, her finding out about everything,last interactions with mc,last sex with mc,and first romantic one, and then goodbye letter. The letter was really good and last interactions between mia and mc, her not wanting to hear how he feels about her,cause she knew she had to leave,that was great. But overall in my mind part 1 is just an intro to swm2. The story of 2 terrible people engaged in blackmailing, harrasment and so on led by their even worse friend emma. Then they start developing feelings and Mia is betrayed, both by her brother and her friend. she realizes that she has no one she could count on,and they are on bad path. she then leaves to start anew,leaving mc the money they made doing porn to help him star a new life as well. She writes a letter to mc explaining everything and expressing her wish that they both would become good people in time. That's really it and i wouldn't mind this kind of explenation in swm2,and then you wouldn't have to play part1

I generally don't leave reviews for games that I really like that already have a number of them, but... I can't help myself with this one.

After reading some other reviews, I had some reservations about this game. Frankly, from what I'd read, the ending didn't strike my fancy. That said, bravo. On a side note, since this hits a number of my preferences, dear G-d how did I miss this one for so long?!

Story: There are many parts with "porn logic" or where "two girls that are knowingly banging the same guy, willingly, don't work that way", and a few contradictory story moments, but overall it's not bad. And for this genre the story vs. "content" ratio is fairly well balanced. While it's not the ending I dreamed of, it's definitely heart-felt, real, and in a dream world acceptable.

Content: It's a finished game, so yeah, content is there. With my policy of "saving on all choices and the start of all sex scenes" on a first play-through it just about maxes the save slots.

Renders: Yep, another DAZ. It's not the best, but it's still pretty good.: A-. It also has a number of animations: A. Some are a bit choppy, but the "loop points" are pretty good.

Playability: It's a VN. Some complain about the lack of choices; again, it's a VN. It has a story it wants to stick to. Where some others give you the illusion of a path, this one is honest. I don't see that as a detracting factor, since as above, the story is pretty damn good and sets it up for the coming sequel.

Sound: This is kind of awkward actually. It's where you can definitely tell that this game was made in stages. Early game, not much at all. Late game, it's everywhere and suitable for the scene. I really wish before calling this "complete" that the dev fixed the disparity.

Bugs: I didn't hit a typical one until the "end of game" scene where they play back images from the game with music. Not perfect, but A+.

Grammar/other bugs: There a number of places with spelling errors and where the speaker shown isn't who's actually speaking. As a native English speaker, I can figure out what should be there, and while it breaks the immersion a bit, it's far better than most.

In a nutshell? Definitely on my "all time favorites" list. I know the sequel is in work, I haven't played what's done yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Like other before me said the renders are very nice but what really kinda pisses me off you dont get any choices (i played the no ntr route) and it wouldnt be a problem if what the MC does wouldnt be so ridiculously dumb. the things the MC thinks are beyond retarded. as soon as the blackmailing starts in the story it just goes downhill and even before at the party where the drinks are spiked. and i dont understand the anal fixation of the MC.

From the story perspective, it`s your basic hillbilly style son gets it on with big sis, mom and cucks dad. The problem is it just kind of veers about erratically, there is no solid buildup with good consistent character development like some of the other titles in this kink. It has inconsistency that aren't easy to see past!

The good part: Renders are fantastic, sex scenes are hot, and there's a ton of renders and content here. No grinding needed, since it's basically a visual novel!.

I liked playing this enough that I will play the sequel, just to see if the dev's improved on their story telling and writing.

Where to begin, as the story and characters, are pretty bad.
Lets start with the MC. Guy should be locked up, as he is a legit sex offender. . Mia is retarded, but she doesn't deserve a brother like this shithead. He is annoyingly stupid, has very little common sense, and cares about not one but himself. Felt like I was losing braincells just reading his inner monologue.
If Mia isn't certified retarded, she acts like she is, the way she falls for his shit, it's hard to feel sorry for her.
Her friend is a true Cunt. Kind of defines the statement, who needs enemies with friends like her?
Forced sharing and NTR. Not much else to say, except that this shit should always be avoidable.
No choices that matter. One ending and it is truly horrible. Nothing you can do to change or affect it in any way.
I liked the Mum, she was a halfway decent character. Sad she had such fucked up kids, but she is what kept me playing. Would have been too much to ask for an ending with her.
She isn't in the follow up game, so no reason to play that one I guess.
So avoid if you want an MC that is in any way a decent human, or don't like forced NTR and sharing, or would enjoy a story that actually makes sense in your AVN.
