Mad much ? The entire "he makes too much $/month, he should hire more people" argument has been tossed around for years now. Nothing changed and nothing will change. You brought it up 1st, you could at least try to counter what I pointed : people don't care it takes him over 3 months per update, otherwise his Patreon graph wouldn't be exponentially upwards, it would plummet pretty hard and fast. Is he a pleb dev that has way too much income per month ? Possibly. Does it bother any1 aside the whiners/people that don't and never will pledge ? Apparently not the 25k+ dudes that keep paying him.

Fun fact : Patreon doesn't work on "pay now, get game in X time" (aka Kickstarter). You pay to have DC do what he wants/likes. He makes the game however he likes, takes all the time he wants/needs and you get it FOR FREE whenever it's ready. Don't like how things go ? Drop your pledge and go elsewhere. Game will still be made and you'll (probably) still get it.

1- Come out crying DC makes too much $/month and he blows at managing
2- Post graphs showing his $/month and Patron counts are only going up for the last 4 years
3- Get countered hard and pointed out that his argument is invalid (posting images that counter your own point is bad)
4- Come back pretty mad throwing issy fits and threats
5- ???????

He must be really an epic trashlord if his $/month and Patron counts never went down in the ~4 years he's been making Summertime. Either that or the people splurging $ at him are dumber than rocks, ~4 years of dumb rocks ....

Side note : those top 3 Patreons feel WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more trash tier than DC. Over 158k for podcasts ? #1 dude makes psycological videos ? Guess my 2nd point for why DC's $/month never goes down is answered right there

A ton of people enjoy Chapo, which fills a barren market for commentary on the left end of politics. They have a massive fanbase. I honestly wonder how they match up to Rogan's numbers....... Looks like 3 things with big fanbases..... and then SS.

To be fair, since it got a proper mobile version the fanbase of SS seems really huge and global, too. I think DC mentioned that the US downloads for example are only 3rd behind SEA and europe. Else it's probably better to compare SS to other NSFW stuff and in that case he's got more than twice the patrons of the 2nd best game. Having said all that, he certainly doesn't make the most money. Devs like Adeptus Steve (and certainly some others like NLT) who actually "sell" their game on patreon make more money with only 1/3 of DC's patrons.

That wasnt meant to insult SS. Porn can be highly profitable if its QUALITY... As someone who enjoys SS, I can say it deserves to be right behind Chapo for donations...

Yeah, I didn't meant to criticize what you said, I only wanted to elaborate a little further. In my opinion there are quite a few reasons why DC has that spot and why people keep supporting him, even though there are games which deliver more sex scenes more often, albeit not really in 2D.

Agreed... I only hope he talks at his patrons and keeps people in the loop fairly regularly... He is definitely living good off that Patron money.....

Well, he usually streams 5 times a week and will answer almost every question you throw at him, while he doesn't take any donations/memberships etc. there. That alone makes me think that he doesn't care about money that much. Sure, he's essentially hit the jackpot, but if he wanted he could be making quite a bit more money by monetizing the game at least a bit more by introducing paid releases, by monetizing his streams, by actually growing the team, etc.

I mean, yes, the game does well, but compared to other devs who actually invest more into their projects and got almost exponential growth at times, SS has almost stalled on a high level for the last 2 years.

1- never say he make too much money and ever say that people have a right to pay him????,and if you read it at all you would know what i was talking about, a project manager(that he is because he is the lead) job is to set deadlines and make things ship his most common complaint are no deadlines and ungodly update times.

2- the images strengthen my point???

no reason that any bottleneck in production could not be fixed in a matter of weeks and even if he doesn't have enough cash for ever one more staff member(for the company he should own???) it would maybe only take him 2.5k/5k monthly for 30k/60k a year and that assume that all other staff menmber make over 80k a year and still have enough for a 40k emergency fund

I don't think you are right here, though. The game never had any deadlines and those who pay know that. Instead you get a very transparent development process and you can see/write to DC almost daily, in case you want to.
In the end it'll always be a compromise anyway. If you set a deadline and miss it, as many devs do, people complain, if you set a deadline and take shortcuts ingame to meet it and push out content (like for example NLT does) it may impact the quality of the game, etc.

In short, somebody will always complain.

Ok, first time posting but have a question, loving the game, well thought out and great script, but I can't finish Jennys path, I think I'm close to the end but it tells me to check her diary for ideas on how to make her warm to me but there's nothing in there. I'm seeing the glitch where pages 20 and 21 are the same so I think I'm missing the last page, I've checked through the previous comments but can't find a fix, has anyone else come across this?

Chapo just went through a ban on Reddit so people just noticed its existence. And I mean, Reddit banned like 40+ Chapo related subs with thousands of people for being against cops and brutality.

So them moving to Patreon is par for the course to show their support when they are in effect in a digital migration.

Though I'm still wondering why people are doing Mental Masturbation exercises over SS numbers. 4 Years and some things just don't change.

What are we, a bunch of filthy pirates, supposed to do? Yell at him to make his art faster? Tell him to make the new patch with less content?

Glitch aside, MC will go and say he should go to the shop and buy her something. You then go to the gift shop on 2nd floor and buy her a necklace. Check the walkthrough on main page (not here) if you're still stuck.
