It seems like the prom will indeed be among the last things to happen. First the story for each schoolgirl has to be done or reworked, then DC wants to implement the dating system and only once that's done we'll get the prom at some point.
In the end it's fair to say that DC went quite a different route compared to most other games, where these things simply happen as standard. So I can understand that people, who don't that much about the game, kinda expect it, even though the actual dialogs say something different.
It's not much more than an build in savegame. If you start a new game, you had 2 options in the past and now there's a third which let's you start right where 0.20.7 ended.

doesn't work with v0.20.8. I also asked here if anyone knows how to get in touch with whomever provided the lewdpatcher patch for v0.20.5 just to ask if they work on something for v0.20.8. No answer.Sothyr is updating his mod but it will take a while & I don't know if his mod requires some lewdpatcher patch or not.

Got stuck inside the school saying I should talk to Dewitt, but noone is inside the school, and I cant leave without talking to her.
(just loaded a save, so no problem for me)

The 20.5 incest patch should work.
It work fine during my gameplay so far. (Aside many textlines which get added by mine additional lines incest mod.)
Played most of the weekend and today a little bit. Could take few days to play everything.
You need to download and install both incest patches! Lewdpatcher and mine.
