On the other hand, the finished product becomes much more visible when it's available on a retail platform, so DC is just using this period for what it is supposedly intended: to develop the game. People who are only interested in completed products will see a much better one this way.

that's cute, it's been in remake hell for almost 5 years and only about 15% of the game has been remade, in that time, the devs have made about 5 million USD, it's just printing money for nothing, can't blame them at all.

I'm still very confused as to what the technical update did. I get they were porting code or redoing code to make things easier, but I thought they were updating/adding animations to old scenes as they're still so janky for a game generating £80k a monoth

now it’s literally been years remaking something that was one of the best when it came out 10 years ago.. I think this was one of the first I played since leisure suit Larry when I was young..lol but now just another game stuck months with no updates and the ones that do come are not “new” just revamped old stuff people have already seen..

alot of games are guilty of this… the phone one comes to mind.. a wife’s phone… the original was all over the place and a mess to follow.. but instead of cleaning it, streamlining it, or ending it.. it kinda got remade.. starts halfway through the game (dunno about others but buildup is sone of the best bits, especially on Ntr ect games) and Is still a mess of storylines..

hope creators take note that sometimes it’s better to end your game and start a new one with your evolved skills than drag one on waaay past its Time…

just my 2 cents and isnt meant as an insult or criticism… if this the model he chose it’s up to him.. just seems odd to me..

it would be a mistake if he intended to genuinely make the game more enjoyable for the sake of his fans, but it looks more like he wanted a more modern feel to reel new people in and then decided to drag his feet because he's getting support anyway. If that weren't the case, there wouldn't be a projected development time of over a decade to catch up to the original build. It's either something big changes very soon or this game is effectively no longer receiving new content

And calm down, there are only 105 characters left.
If it takes more than a year per character, those 105 years of waiting could increase.

I agree. Should've wrappedit up and left the whole prom part for the next version, just carrying variables over like a ton of Ren'py games do.

From what I've noticed having played both versions, it fixed a lot of the Ren'py lag that happens with a lot of games.
Still, not worth it.
