is min-max important? i remember i played this game a bit a while ago and then when i replayed it and looking at the walkthrought i realized i could get more points by taking diferent choices so my question is, can i get locked out of important content if i play in a not optimal way?

There are two main routes and each one has heaps of minor variations.

1) Pure hero (doesn't kill if don't have to and don't eat monsters and enemies)
2) Corrupted hero (kills everything he can and eats everything he can)

Of course, these are not the only routes, as they have a lot of variations and sometimes they can be partially combined, but these are two main routes.

Corrupted hero has several advantages. For starters, his stats are slightly higher because consuming some monsters gives extra power. He also understands the language of monsters because he is largely like them. So far it has no disadvantages, although the fact that you can kill and eat characters that might appear later in the story can be considered a disadvantage (less story). Pure hero has no obvious advantages, other than the fact that most of the characters are still alive. There are theories that how corrupt we are will have a big effect on what ending we get. It can also have an effect on some end game fights, as a corrupted hero has less control over his abilities (I don't mean that they are weaker, on the contrary, they are so strong that it will be easier for him to lose control) and is more susceptible to things that affect monsters.

So yes, some decisions require pretty high stats, which can be pretty hard to have, depending on the style of play you play. Corruption is a particularly problematic stat because the bar increases gradually and if you haven't increased it from the start you will very quickly reach a point where you won't be able to choose most of these options (high corruption sometimes offers an alternative solution that [surprisingly] may not be bad) because there simply aren't enough options for you to accumulate more.

Does that answer your question?

I took a route where I tried to have as much corruption as possible without killing anyone important, not even Jake, and I managed to do that, I chose to increase my popularity with the government because it is much easier than trying to increase the public on a corrupt route , I also opted for skill when facing Michael, a good way to know if I was going the right way was to be able to understand everything the eye says in dreams and have a perfect fight with Valvran, getting there with 80 power and 19 skill, and then have enough corruption to get the dead end in the third evolution, I consider this a perfect route. I believe that on this route I will not lose any content, so I consider it min-max.

I don't think there is such a thing as a perfect route. Every important decision is always at the expense of another.
In addition, we do not yet have information on how certain decisions or the amount of corruption will affect the end game.
But for now it seems that what you are doing is maximizing the amount of content available.

P.S.
You should always kill Jake.
That guy is an asshole.

While it would be easy to tell you this or that, Drako already did it all for you. I could tell you multiple ways but I rather just show you my stats and let you be the judge of it. You want to to get a perfect during Valravn fight with 80 PP and 19 Skill while also getting to meet Aglaecwif and save Laurie? That on top of beating the Asura without Nico saving you. Well, look no further than my Veil character.

Okay, I just finished it all up. It took longer than it should have but I was playing different games alongside it so it slowed me a bit. Anyway, I'll keep this "short" and put my stats below.

Main Playthrough(1st) -

Hero Name: Darkness
Power: 348
Skill: 30
Corruption: 35
Public Opinion: 675
Government Opinion: 145
Alive: Danica, Demi, Jake and Laurie
Dead: Nobody
Aglaecwif Met: Yes

Corruption Main Playthrough(2nd) -

Hero Name: Darkness
Power: 348
Skill: 30
Corruption: 43
Public Opinion: 535
Government Opinion: 145
Alive: Danica
Dead: Demi, Jake, Laurie
Aglaecwif Met: Yes

0 Corruption Playthrough(3rd) -

Hero Name: Dark Night
Power: 337
Skill: 34
Corruption: 0
Public Opinion: 770
Government Opinion: 180
Alive: Danica, Demi, Jake and Laurie
Dead: Nobody
Aglaecwif Met: No

And I might as well add the other two to this one as well. Even though I already posted them. For the full picture, I'll put them below again so everyone can see the difference between them. I went back and corrected my Murderhobo to get the 3 corruption and also skipped skill points for it this time.

Murderhobo Playthrough(4th) -

Hero Name: Daemon
Power: 363
Skill: 26
Corruption: 49
Public Opinion: -450
Government Opinion: -180
Alive: hopefully nobody for long
Dead: Danica, Demi, Jake, and Laurie
Aglaecwif Met: Yes

"Perfect" Playthrough(5th) -

Hero Name: Veil
Power: 350
Skill: 31
Corruption: 37
Public Opinion: 770
Government Opinion:180
Alive: Danica, Demi and Laurie
Dead: Jake
Aglaecwif Met: Yes

Now I can rest for a while.
The murderhobo has the max amount of power and corruption allowed currently by the way.

yeah that pretty much answered it thanks, i was just worried of hitting a dead end if i made too many choices that dont increase the powers/abilities and i dont want to lock myself out of cool content and i think i might bee earlier in the game than i thought i was, last big event was the fight and the party and interview offer

There are only two ways to lock yourself out of events. Not training at every opportunity until the option's no longer available, and killing Christie. That will inevitably lead to dead ends that will force you to reload. If you want to see them, you should make a save before going for them. Other than that, the game's pretty flexible. There's even no reason why you can't take the left path at the battle of the diamonds and save Laurie on skill focused pure hero playthrough, provided you take the eye offered by the shopkeeper and choose both power and skill instead of asking lore questions.

Edit: Okay, nevermind. Apparently if you're pure and skill focused you're a single point of power off from saving Laurie, no matter what. You want her saved, you're going to have to get a point of corruption from killing a criminal or scientist earlier in the story. At least it makes a nice narrative device.

I just completed the game and I only have one thing to say.

Wow, I have never been so interested in the story in a visual novel, I always play these things for the porn more than anything, but this time it is the first time that a novel of this type catches me in this way.

The characters, the action scenes, the conflicts, everything is so well put together and constructed that I can honestly only thank the creator of this game for making something so good.

This is one of the best works I have read and one of the few that has left me with a void by completing what already exists, I look forward to the following updates.

Postscript: Does anyone have any recommendations for something similar to this?

It's that I'm left wanting more.

A similar game to this one is Parasite Black although set in a medieval fantasy world and only 2 people have powers.

Try Fate/Stay Night. Supernatural conflict, secret societies, epic battle scenes, plot twists - but less boobs than Superhuman.

Wut, I had no idea it was possible to still save Laurie after taking the left path, thanks for bringing it up

I feel like the last few pages have all been on-topic be it theory walls, answering questions, discussing characters, etc. But alas, the Mods care only for the complaints they get and do little to no investigation.

I hope the Reporters got what they wanted via lack of communication with the actual Thread members. The grammar for all of these "professional" warnings gets me every time, these are adults mind you.

You know what mr moderator? At this point, it's pointless to post anything in this thread because we don't have a single clue what is considered offtopic. Not only you and other moderators delete posts that comply with the rules, but you also threaten bans and never explain what the offense was in the first place, even after repeated requests for clarification.

These people you threaten to ban are the ones who even give a shit about helping the community with answering questions about the lore, posting dev updates, provide walkthroughs and help with technical issues. A couple weeks ago this was a very active thread with helpful community. Now it's barely a shell of what it was and people think twice before posting anything. So guess what, you already fucked it up, what does it matter if you ban us at this point? It's not like we are willing to participate anymore.

We had to use the offtopic to provide links to the game's music, discuss how to best create a waifu poll to get some actionable community statistics, or discuss the setting's and lore's particulars so we can most accurately contribute to the wiki. And the reason we do it that way is because you lot are goddamn unreasonable.

I'm not going to answer anymore questions about the game, the playlist/music, how to achieve certain results, how to maximize certain stats or deal with bugs. If someone wants help, come and ask in the offtopic. It's unmoderated and we don't have to worry about some overzealous mod doing god's work, deleting game related memes and waifu talk, which the rules say nothing about being offtopic.

Last time the mod deleted 7 pages and the only explanation we got was that 2 posts out of the 140 were about Baldur's Gate 3.

Well for my taste I haven't found a game like this but the tiered power structure is similar to how its handled in cultivation stories and progression fantasy novels. Lately bouncing back an forth from stories on Royal Road or Scribble hub has been scratching that itch for me. Granted a lot of those stories don't have as interesting a world, one of the most gripping and awfully named stories I found on scribble hub, and some seriously glacial pacing I'd still give a shot if your into the grim darkness of the fantasy is

But if that is not your cup of tea I'd recommend just picking something with tags you like and has an interesting bio.

Also for non 18+ and a power tiered setting similar to this one I just remembered this story I'd recommend instead., its even in a sci-fi post monster war setting.
