I keep hearing this stuff about a sequel. Is it confirmed that after 1.0 this game is done wherever the story ends up at? Cause there are so many games on here at versions 1.0.134 etc. that I don't see why this has to come out at 1.0. Unless WW explicitly said that it will?

Nobody knows what he's doing. Maybe he's just feeling burnt out. After all he's been constantly developing this game for a while now. I think he first posted about it on f95 in 2020

I haven't watched his streams in a while, but last time I watched he said his next game is going to be a vampires/werewolves thing if I remember correctly

Well, there was Level 2 Jake before the Valravn fight, but I get what you mean. Which is also another reason why MC could use some more varied monsters to fight earlier before that encounter. They don't have to be anything special. Just various types so the world not only knows he was fighting monsters out there. But also to fill in the looped content between Jake and Valravn fight. Where he's just flying around the city and searching the sewers on repeat.

There's definitely room for some proper fights to be slotted into that whole segment. Even public ones wouldn't really mess up continuity or anything, since MC's fame is kinda overblown compared to the number of actually witnessed fights he's had.

Personally I'm all for adding more proper heroic work. I'm really hoping MC gets some more major exposure soon, since shit is clearly about to really hit the fan, like maybe he's fighting a losing battle to protect people and everyone gets to witness him reach his fourth where he showcases cool new shit to fight off either a smaller number of stronger monsters or a horde of lesser ones (reasonable for a tranced up lvl 4, I think), and/or maybe he gets a technique to "resurrect" the dead by using memories to reform their bodies or something and he uses that to bring a bunch of people back in an otherwise devastating battle. It's been great regardless, though. The whole thing with the Gigante was sick.

I'm wondering if he will even have trouble with low level monsters plus he could just create a spike field or liquid wall and consume any low level monsters that come near, or expanding on the resurrect thing he could even control the low level monster while they are alive to attack their allies help defeat a high level monster if there is one around, like those monsters in the beginning who can control other monsters and body parts with their liquid, he could control them to make a monsters own body go against itself.

There will be a sequel, but WW has said he might not start it immediately after v1.0 and instead make another game before making Superhuman 2.

I agree, but keep in mind, putting a project on hiatus is better than the dev losing his passion and rushing a half-assed ending and/or the quality plummeting. I've seen that happens to many projects and I pray this one won't have the same fate.

I for one don't care how many updates it takes, I enjoy reading each one immensely despite the waiting time, but when I try to see things from WW's perspective, well, the risks of a mental burnout also come into question. I can't imagine working and developing a story for years on end without ever getting sick of it.

Putting a project on hold hurts the fans, but atleast it does not tarnish that project's reputation. Rushing a project tho ? That does.

I hope he finishes his other thing berfore even thinking of Superman again plus if he worries about this game and what he should do with it then he won't be able to focus on making the other game good.

I agree, but, to be fair, Superhuman is pretty small in terms of text. It very well could be possible that the entire story is already done as a manuscript. Even if that's not the case, I think it's fair to say that drawing is what takes most of the time here, and I would be very surprised if WW doesn't have a pretty good idea how everything ends at this point as well as every major story beat in between.

Ok, so I've finished the main sprite and a few others. I'm deciding on how muscular I want the MC's naked form to be. (When he's naked/not wearing clothes)

It's really hard to get the correct musculature of the MC down. Too muscular and it doesn't line up with the narrative, since he comments on michael being one of the biggest meanest guys he's seen when he first meets him. Too little and it doesn't really belie his super tall stature and makes him too skinny.

Superhuman was just a test game for WW, he never intended for it to blow up the way it did, so I'm confident that his next game is going to be just as good as (if not better than) Superhuman.

Superhuman was just a test game for WW, he never intended for it to blow up the way it did, so I'm confident that his next game is going to be just as good as (if not better than) Superhuman.

Every 1st product is just a test for a dude or a company that is just starting out. Superhuman being one of them doesnt mean it wont be his magnum opus. WW wont be able to create anything better than this.

I've said it before I think, but I still find a bit funny WeirdWorld's choice for Malik bailing out the plot, like how S.I.N and HERO are going at it back on Earth, as the 'Definitive 100% endgame big battle!', with MC's group main concern being a couple level 4(at most) inviting themselves to R&X, meanwhile Malik's subplot is this:

(Eldritch BiG thing swallowing a Sun for visual, Halona did said that the Wasting Mommy was massive after all.)

Like, guy is having his very own JRPG final boss battle out there for some reason, probably trashing the Outer Rim of the universe because(?, worse still, Ella said that the Wasting Mother was so far away that MC shouldn't even worry about her or other 'Gods', so Malik pretty much did go out his way to fuck with something far worse than anything happening on earth RN, bar Apostles Manifesting in the absolutely worst case scenario.

That game should had been more famous off the bat, about your question, maybe?

I mean, the strongest thing any of them has killed so far was EyeMC, but it wasn't that crazy beyond it's connection to the Upper Spheres, the Visitor is at the very least larger than the Solar System, and completely ignore the laws of physics plus every other crazy shit it does without even intending to, so I would say no for now, if Weird does show a peek of Malik's fight against the Wasting Mother that might change though, but as of now, none of the three has shown enough power to fry the Visitor.
