There's not much content yet, but this game has potential.
So far, this is a pretty straight-forward zombie story. There's only about 15 minutes of gameplay, so it's too early to really judge the story one way or another at this point. I'd say it's fairly engaging already, though.
The characters are quite cartoonish, though they are attractive enough. The renders are pretty good all around. There are only 2 very small possible lewd scenes at this point (1 is a dream scene), and the animations, while smooth, are very minimal. I am slightly confused why the MC's daughter is effectively only wearing underwear the entire time, including while going out and fighting zombies during an apocalypse, but I suppose that's a relatively small gripe.
The mechanics of the game are somewhat puzzling to me, as there are a few point-and-click and semi-free-roam scenes that offer nothing to the game, because the only options you have are to do exactly what the game wants you to do. There are no choices to do anything but the exact task you are instructed to (i.e. you cannot go to any other locations, look at or interact with any other people/objects). Maybe the dev is just getting the hang of these free-roam interactions, and future scenes will be more complex or have more optional content. Otherwise, the game deviating from straight VN at this point has no apparent purpose.
When it comes to dialogue, there are a number of choices, but they all seem pretty meaningless. You are often given the choice during a conversation with another character to pick one of two dialogue options, which are basically identical except for small differences in wording. It's unclear why you are even given a choice, as the conversation goes the same no matter what you choose.
Still, this is a very early release, so all of these things can be improved upon. The only reason I am not giving a 4-star rating is because of the writing. I know that effective and natural writing is a difficult skill to master, but the writing in this game is simply not very good. Although the English is fine (dev seems to be a native English speaker), there are a handful of typos and a number of grammatical errors. A lot of the dialogues are awkward and unnatural. Also, the dev constantly commits one of my biggest pet peeves: having characters constantly saying "haha" during/after many of their conversations, when nothing that has been said is a joke or humorous in any way. I find it to be not only completely unnecessary, but incredibly awkward and cringe-inducing.
Overall, I appreciate the unique art style, and what little story there is so far is interesting. With some polishing, this could become a very enjoyable game.
