Hello everyone, I hope the beginning of the year has been going well for all of you.

I am a Game Design student, and together with other students from the same school, we decided to embark on the somewhat crazy adventure of creating a game. At first, it was simply a way for everyone to improve their skills by helping each other, but we soon realized the project’s potential and therefore decided to continue this journey by fully developing the game until completion.

We decided to restructure the team in order to adopt the same workflow organization as a real studio, aiming to gain genuine independent professional experience. However, we realized that we needed to open new positions within the team in order to be able to bring the project to completion.

We are therefore looking for:
an animator
a graphic designer
a programmer
SFX artist.

We can also needed some back up in 2D artist and 3D artist.

The game we are developing is a survival horror title created using Unreal Engine and it is NOT NSFW, inspired by classic PS2-era games. Our current objective is to turn our technical demo into a playable demo that can be presented to a publisher. At the moment, all of our work is 100% voluntary. However, given our professional ambitions — both individually and as a team — we need a minimum level of commitment to ensure steady progress, and also to be able to present not only a playable demo to a publisher, but a team that is already functional and ready to work in a professional manner.

Yes, this is entirely conditional and driven by dreams. But it is only by taking the leap that we can move forward, and we have decided to do so knowing that this experience will bring nothing but positive value to our professional profiles. We hope others will join us on this adventure.

For any visual content related to the project, I can send it to you via private message, as I am not yet able to post links directly.

For those who would like more information, feel free to contact me directly.

Thank you for your time, and hopefully see you soon.

forgive the slightly harsh and accusatory and cynical tone

you guys know each other in real life and decided to make a nsfw game together? seems rare to me... your game will be nsfw, right?

you are talking about contacting a publisher - from the little insight into indie game devving i have from the sidelines, it is highly unlikely that a first game by a group of indie devs gets picked up by a publisher. it is much more common to simply put it on steam or itch yourself, or use a patreon (-like) continuous funding platform.

i take it you all are in school? meaning the game will compete with time spent for school...

do you have a game design document yet?

what roles do you have filled in your team already? seeing as you are looking for basically every type of contribution.

what do you mean by animator? 2d keyframe? 2d spline? 3d rigging+animating?

what do you mean by backup in 2d and 3d art?

you say you have a "technical" demo but imply it is not a "playable" demo yet... aside from being more specific on almost all the things you said, and aside from offering monetary compensation, your absolute best chance of attracting people is by showing that you guys are serious by virtue of having something to show already. in my opinion you should share that demo, or a recording of you playing the demo, or at the very least screenshots of it (i know - fresh accounts have restrictions... for that matter, it should be your priority to go into other threads and make posts until your restrictions are lifted and you can post/link to your demo. try to make your posts meaningful and not spam, like i am doing right now =D)

i myself am a nsfw 2d artist looking for paid work or at the very least a percentage share of a patreon game dev project. as honest and commited as you sound, i can offer nothing more than generic advice and prompting you to be more specific and put more effort into attracting people. people "start" projects all the time and most of them fizzle out quickly. the more convincing and serious you come off, the more people will want to join your project (even with little to no payment). people like to jump onto a train that is already moving.

best of luck to you and your team!

first, i will recommend don't think about publisher or about money at all if you are asking people to help you for free and at this stage.
at this kind of stage, people who help will help for the type of project and how much fun to make the thing, and many will leave.

you want to do thing how a real studio do thing but real studio deal with getting pay. so you will never be a real studio if you have no money. so it will be a hobby for other.
so i ask you what do people get beside work? will you make the game free? will they get the game file? can people use the game file for their own project? can they take the game file and make their own if they don't like the way you making the game?

you only talk about dream and you didn't talk much about the project, what type of game what ps 2 game you follow, survival horror it can be anything. and you want programmer, that mean c++ or blueprint or both. and why are you not using shop asset .

and if you want do what a real studio do, then show us what the plan like a real studio. and pls don't be like bioware make fake trailer with no ideal what the game about.

why you can't post link now because you post too little in this website, just post more thing and you can put link. ( not sure the number)
