Frankly, I don't understand how a game can be over a year old, and still have a window titled "A Renpy Game." I'm fairly certain Renpy itself changes that to whatever you titled your project, and it's one variable at the very top of the options file. So apathy or incompetence right off the bat. INB4: "Just switch to fullscreen and not see it." Please shill your porn game fandom to someone else. Then, you get into the story, it seemed a little wishy washy, trying to be deep, so I thought "Maybe it'll level out and be middle of the road and forgettable." It is, only for different reasons. The first thing that happens after getting to the house of strangers MC is living in, they do the dumb shower scene. You know? MC gets out of the shower and the sex deprived virgin-esque landlady, that gave him a room of his own to not disturb him, walks in on him and stands there slack-jawed babbling in front of his dick. Then has a lengthy conversation in front of MC about his penis. It would be fine if those scenes were separated by any amount of time greater than none at all. But no, she runs out of the room and screams into her phone that she saw a penis. It also reads like another dumb "We want to make an incest game but patreon won't let us" game so that's annoying. Pardon me for being the only person not into, and actively bored of incest on this site. But I digress. The ...humor? "Do you live here?" "Yes and no." "Haha. I see what you did there!" She said the same thing, so funny. And what I'm most disappointed in is my reading ability as I didn't see the sandbox tag. Once again, it's a completely useless thing. What does it add to travel through a bunch of empty rooms to click a character and start an event? I know it's fun to make free roam, but it is useless. And instead of bypassing the useless free-roam, you get to click on the computer and go to an event that might be chronological, but after exploring, it's not all the events? On top of the fact there is ZERO direction given. So you just have to click EVERYTHING until a character exists in a room for you to interact with. Absolutely no thought was given toward player experience, so good luck finding what to do.
A big reason I don't review sandbox games is a big empty sand box to grind/walk to every room for paltry scenes is already a terrible experience and gives me a negative opinion right off the bat. And seeing as the gallery only has 12 images(And not everything unlocks, by the way), I'm not holding my breath on how long this game is or how much 'content' it has. Everything pertaining to the story I've said so far is all pre-sandbox. The only thing I haven't commented on is every line of dialogue is boring idle pleasantries. "Oh this place is so nice. Everything is nice. You're so NICE." Then one comical villain scene about Amber needing to pay back a loan. And it ends with mysterious big business voices talking about MC cryptically, with a stupid black widow reference shoehorned in. Meaning the nonexistent over-arching plot will end up being ANOTHER DUMB CORPORATE ESPIONAGE STORY. And the audacity to not just label it as Sarah is hilarious, she's the only person not around, that MC has met. I guess I should mention the visuals. Pretty inconsistent. The lighting flickers, the colors are compressed and banding sometimes(namely meeting Amber), and apparently "older woman" means a wider jaw and hilariously crossed-eyes. As every 'milf' doesn't look older, just that they need corrective lenses. If you can look at Victoria and not laugh every time, maybe you need glasses too. And that underbite... Man. Mel even suddenly becomes white during her event. There is so much wrong it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
If your fetish is saying a game has potential, I guess this is for you. It's rocky, to say the least. The English is good, for the most part, just stiff a lot of the time. The UI is stock but there's a free-roam section that has bells and whistles, but there's no way to track what 'quests' you have to do, nevermind the fact that there's only about 4. But NOOOOO we can track what day and what time of day it is, so it must be good. And the art... Everything with Victoria was rendered with care, even if her model is dopey looking. Everyone else either has lighting inconsistencies, compressed colors, banding, or some other distracting issue and I NEVER talk about art, but this story is so boring that I had nothing else to focus on. The dialogue and story are just boring nothings then suddenly mafia/corporate trash. It's nothing to write home about. Not to mention that after EVERY event the credits roll saying who rendered and wrote that section. It just doesn't feel like everything comes together cohesively, like certain things were prioritized over others so it feels lazily polished I guess. If you like the models and sandbox, go for it. But you're gonna be waiting months, if not YEARS, to see a decent amount of anything.
