Have you ever seen doujinshi rewrites? It means writing a new story for visuals instead of actually conveying the meaning of words and usually have nothing to do with the script. I'm kinda prefer original wording when it comes to translations since it's very important in my opinion. When people edit mtl for translations, they don't usually keep track of the actual text or rewrite the whole thing if it "does not sound good" or something, I'm not sure about the actual justification.

Update: After extracting, changing the folder name from the entire name to something smaller like just Sweet Wife and removing the hyphen solves the issue. Ran fine for me with an emulator.
