You can as a matter of fact. You could adjust them on the main menu before entering the game.

Not everyone wants to see pregnancy with every character.
Also, your opinion on who gets pregnant is subjective and your opinion only. Judy and Erica made sense for TGO if you read the dialogue.

You can just use windows volume mixer to change volume of game itself.

Step by step:
1.Launch the game
2.Right click sound icon on your task bar

3.Pick 'Open volume mixer'
4.Find game on app list and adjust volume

Your adjustments are instantly in use so there is no need for restarting the game.

Next update is scheduled for tomorrow the 15th. It's always the same date. Major update always on the 2nd of each month, minor update on the 15th.
