My take on this game, summed up in one word, is boring.

The storytelling is fine for me. I mean, it is a continuation of the previous games, so there should be a lot of similar things happening, and I can deal with that.

The animations and renders are good, as expected from NLT Media. Really amazing quality.

However, I really think that the animations and the “kinks” are on the boring side. I can understand that keeping it “boring” will accommodate everyone, because it won’t really offend anyone.

But I also feel like keeping it “boring” with the animations and kinks will have the opposite effect, making people feel like, “Ugh, I’ve already seen this 100 times before.”

My suggestion would be to implement different, choice-based kinks with slightly different animations.

Another note is the “invite someone to the house” mechanic. I love this because the girls will refuse you if you haven’t got the sufficient “house” that they want. This kind of rejection makes it feel more fulfilling when you eventually buy the things necessary to get the woman into the house.

I’m at 31% completion as of writing this.

This is definitely the most polarising game NLT has made yet. We’ve got some reviews saying it’s fantastic and others saying it’s a massive downgrade, and… they’re both correct from my perspective. It really just depends on the type of player you are.

If this is your first NLT game and you come in blind you may think it’s one of the best adult games ever, cause as other reviewers before me have perfectly encapsulated: it’s the pinnacle of RPGM and there are hardly any other games that can compare quality wise. If this is you, believe me: you will really enjoy it. Don’t be discouraged by the average reviews. Give it a try (download the walkthrough though). The story is interesting, the visuals are great, there is an open world that you have to explore, there are collectibles, etc.

However, if you’re an older fan this game is predictable and lacks the feeling of freshness the previous games had. The reason being: it’s not the games, it’s the formula that has succeeded. I believe Treasure of Nadia was NLTs magnum opus: the visuals, the sense of exploration, the feeling of open world, the mysteries and story… that game nailed everything. I even liked some small things like being able to own property and inviting women over. It felt incredibly fresh at the time. But from there onwards we’ve had 2 very similar games.

In a nutshell, Symphony of the Serpent is The Genesis Order once again but worse. The main issues I have are:

    • Story:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
    • Characters
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

    • Gameplay:
I said the characters were the weakest link, and honestly, it’s because the gameplay as an aspect cannot even be considered a link, it feels more like a giant iceberg sinking the whole ship down.

The combat was a very big mistake. This is not how you do it. Half of the time the inputs don’t work correctly and the whole premise is weird (as in trying to outflank someone from only 4 possible directions in a game where you can move diagonally). Its saving grace is that I can turn down the difficulty which is not good. I personally would have preferred a traditional turn based combat.

Finally, I really need to know why we’re dragging everything so much this time around. How can I be at 31% completion and have already spent 11 hours trying to get everything? I’ve beaten triple A games before in much less time.

I will conclude by saying it’s still a good game(y), specially for someone new to the NLT formula. That’s why it’s still getting 3 stars. However, I really expect something new in the next entry.

The game itself is not that bad. The problem is the excessive recycling between treasure of nadia and other games from the same dev.

The recycling applies to everything: Story, characters, models, cgi, even the genre/theme is the same.

I can't give this game more than 4 stars when i already gave treasure of nadia 4 (4.5 because i really liked the story + some of the girls). It's a washed up and recycled game from older games.

There is a certain expectation that comes with a well-known developer — a quiet promise built on the strength of past successes. This latest title honors that legacy in several ways, yet it also reveals the limits of a formula that has begun to feel worn at the edges.

Visually, it is an improvement. The presentation is cleaner, the environments more polished, and the overall aesthetic shows clear growth from the studio’s earlier work. But beneath that attractive surface lies a structure that is starting to repeat itself. The rhythm, once fresh and daring, now risks slipping into predictability.

The game’s complexity doesn’t help. Reaching 100% completion without a walkthrough borders on impossible, and the act of stumbling blindly through opaque triggers and hidden requirements quickly becomes frustrating rather than engaging. Exploration should feel rewarding; here, it feels more like guesswork.

Another notable absence is the sense of taboo that defined the developer’s previous titles — the very spark that made them feel dangerous, distinctive, and memorable. Without that edge, the experience loses a layer of tension and identity, leaving something solid but less compelling than what came before.

It is still a good game — polished, confident, and made with clear craftsmanship. But compared to the developer’s earlier triumphs, it stands in their shadow rather than beside them. I can only hope their next project recaptures the boldness that once set them apart.

really great game, love the renders and the look of the girls
interesting story, not many games manage to get me hooked enough to play just to see the story develop
personally i like exploring and the puzzles the game has to offer, nothing confusing or boring about them
my only nitpick is the animation when females orgasm, seems a bit too exagerated

Probably the most overhated game on this site at the moment. Sure, it's not as good as the previous NLT games, but compared to the rest of the slop on here, it's a really high quality game.

    PROS:
    - Renders are beautiful
    - Not grindy at all
    - Tons of content
    - Voice acting (can be cringy at times but better than nothing)
    - Polished, no bugs or bad grammar etc.

    CONS:
    - Story is confusing at times
    - Some puzzles or hidden items are impossible without walkthrough
    - Combat is not satisfying or fun
    - Not much variety in the girls' looks

Personally, I was disappointed at the lack of creampie scenes. There are only a few out of hundreds of scenes. Even when the girl is literally begging the MC "Fill me up!" etc, he just pulls out and ruins the orgasm every time. Same for the girls, they always just cum and writhe about without even being touched! Has NLT ever had sex? Also, some of the positions and animations are laughably impossible. No gravity in this world! I think some attention to detail would go a long way for realism, like when the MC is "eating out" a girl and not even getting close to her clit; it could be so much more immersive with only slight changes to the animations. Other reviewers have pointed out that the girls tend to look disgusted or pained when cumming, which is annoying. In general, making the girls look happier would make it more realistic and sexy.

Gripes aside, the overall quality of this game is still leagues ahead of the field. It's definitely worth a play!

This is the most advanced RPG maker game I've ever played.
Great animation, nice graphics, pretty women and girls, good voice acting. I'm just getting to know the story, but so far it looks pretty cool. I have spoken.

I am one of the biggest fan of NLT, yet I could not help but rate this one so poor. I mean, I would give this one staight 0 star if possible but none can deny that NLT create the best looking models out there.
    Now about the review,
I have noticed some key patterns in NLT's games. He had his flaws since Lust Epidemic and Treasure of Nadia.
    1. He never inproved those flaws but lost the great things he had done with those two games, like INCEST, Good Story, Meaningful Sex etc. Since his 3rd game, The Genesis Order, still the sex scenes were good and at least somewhat connected to the story even if not as well as the others.
    2. The worst thing he introduced or more like amplify the reactions of models during the orgasm. These reactions are so pathetic that it completly turns me off, these reactions aren't of extreme joy but more like extreme pain and disgust, that's how people react at those moment and sad thing is, it's extremely consistent, not even a single extreme reaction in my memory showed a happy, satisfied reaction during orgasm.
Now that we are done with the pattern, let;s get to this very game.

    Models:
As always, extremely attractive but definetly a downgrade compared to last 2 games.
    Animations and Sex :
This is where I am disappointed the most and the only good thing the dev used to deliver with the game, just vanished. I know the game is not complete but
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
First Problem : All the sex scenes are detached from the flow of the story. The sex scenes happens abruptly without proper build up and tensions.
Second Problem : There is no actual romance or passion in the game or at least compared to the sex scenes. To me, Anya is the primary love interest. Her first sex scene is so abrupt that anyone who was interested in her would never be satisfied. I don't know how these devs think but how could he just do a so-so job for his main FMC's first sex scene!!
Third Problem : The NPC type side characters have better sex scenes and sex angle than many main characters.

The Story: It's worse than TGO but never expected it to be any good, same pathetic pushover MC who is pushed around by the pussy of the most ugliest girl of the game, that's how it was in TGO and that's continuing here as well. The pushover MC is not passionate towards anyone. I mean, you would definitely try to defend someone at every time, right? This story has nothing of that sort, only the mc is controlled by some pussy which is attached to some ugly face and personality.

TBH, I am really disappointed. There were so many opportunities to improve game story but he is going downwards since Treasure of Nadia. With SoTS he hit the rock bottom. He had the chance to make a very good tensed love dynamic for the first time with the introduction of Anya, but no, he just threw that opportunity. and kept going the same road, the pushover mc controlled by some ugly pussies and ignoring the things which are actually important to him.

    Another banger by NLT.

No surprise here, big storyline, many hours of gameplay, lot of characters, this is what we are looking for.

I am here mainly for the plot, the rest is just a bonus.
A bit of a bummer that they dropped the incest inuandos a notch but they seem to head to another direction and can't blame them since its quite risky.

    Summary:

With great animations and a style very loyal to that of NLT, the game retains its idiosyncratic personality - however, you can only enjoy a fine meal or a catchy tune for so long until you grow bored of it.

    Review:

    Art-style: ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
    Good! ...again.

The art, eternalized in 3D as per NTL tradition, is good. The characters are comely, the visuals here steer towards something more cyberpunk-ish when it comes to the environments.
However, it presents absolutely no difference from the previous games. The characters are unremarkably beautiful, and the visuals are stagnantly endearing.

    Gameplay: ☆ ☆
Very little is new, besides an unintuitive and unecessary combat system.

Again, the gameplay environment and mechanics are very much like the previous games. You walk around finding clues, collecting items, clicking on glowing things. This time, there's a combat system, but it'd be better off without it. I'd give it three stars for "unimpressive" if not for this addition - it's not awful, it's just, truthfully, boring. The combat mechanic detracts from "boring" to "unappealing", instead of adding to it.

    Storyline:
I'm not sure I understand the flow of the storyline and character progression?

It's the sex virus again. The characters all have the same concept as those of previous games - the sexually curious virgin, the promiscuous "aunt", the hesitating matronly MILF... it's literally the same game, in it's fourth reincarnation.

The Genesis Order ends in a mess when it comes to the plot, and it gets worse in this game. Additionally, character progression is all over the place - you'll get jumpscared with anal sex without as much as trading a kiss before, which breaks the untold rule of H-games that you must "work your way" into what the other character is willing to do with you. This kills the buildup, and again, detracts from the experience.

All in all, the game is stale, with every addition detracting from it.

    Grammar: ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
    It's fine.

As far as I can recall, there was no distictive damage done to the English language in this version. It's not a prosaic masterpiece, but it's fine for a porn game.

it's just downhill, and downhill and downhill and downhill and downhill

    and it's freaking sad

story is the worst part in this, it doesn't make any (and I mean ANY FUCKING) sense

characters are shallow, bland and boring as fuck - a noticeable downgrade from previous titles. some girls aren't even that fucking cute!

the gameplay is ... eh, what you would expect from NTL - tried-and-true from previous titles, still no improvements (apart from obvious), which means it is still tedious and you can resort to pixel hunting

    man, what a letdown

Its becoming real pain in the bum. Traveling all over the place just for one little thing from one corner to the other. Not sure why but I feel really stupid playing this shit game. Where are the short cut travels?. Especially travelling around in NLT has fallen.. I withal my support ... better games to play

A big letdown from previous NLT titles. While I wouldn't say it's bad, I've stopped playing because frankly I have no more interest in it. It's way too tedious for little reward. Maybe I'll visit it again in the future and see where it stands.

    This game is boring currently.
(I'll adjust my review at full release when I buy it on steam)

    • The writing tries to make you think the story is great, but it's the complete opposite. It's just pointless, wordy dialogue that not only wastes your time but also bores the hell out of you because there's so much of it, and none of it is interesting. There's a ton of pointless text in this game that often doesn't even make sense, and on top of that, it's extremely drawn out.

    • For instance, you'll talk about some relic stuff in one scene, then have to walk all the way across the map and back again just to continue the same pointless conversation. The devs stretched everything out so much that you literally have to invest at least an hour to read what should have been one freaking sentence. This is pretty much the entire game.

    • Everything would have been a bit less painful if the story was at least somewhat good, but it isn't. This is the most boring, monotone, lifeless piece of story writing I've ever read. It's like AI generated slop, and a very bad one at that.

    • The animations, character design, and overall quality are mediocre at best. The animations seem like a big downgrade from their previous work they just look weird. It feels like the dev didn't put any effort into them at all and just rendered them to fill space.

    • The gameplay is actually quite fun. I like the fighting mechanic, and I think the dev likes it too. Way too much in fact because they put it pretty much everywhere. You'll spend most of your time in this game on either the boring story or the fighting.

    • Progression in this game is as horrible and tedious as it gets. Remember that boring story I mentioned? That's mostly what you get. Forget about the actual content you want to see, because you have to wade through that boring writing first. I didn't unlock the first real scene until I was over 20% into the game's progression, and that took way too long.

This game is the definition of formulaic and boring. It feels like they just followed the same tired formula from countless other titles without adding anything fresh or exciting. The story is predictable, the characters are shallow, and everything just feels like it’s been done before only worse. There’s no real passion behind it. You can tell the developers were more focused on pumping out something quickly rather than actually putting effort into making something memorable or engaging. and the whole experience just drags. It’s the kind of game that you play for a few minutes, get bored, and then wonder why you wasted your time. If you’re looking for something with heart and creativity, this isn’t it.

    Karmasaur

A huge step down in quality from NLT's previous games. The animations are lifeless, as the girls flop and writhe like lifeless sex dolls that only exist to pleasure MC. The pacing is practically non-existent, no scenes have any tension because the MC just bangs them upon meeting them. This creates a weird dichotomy when you unlock Kama Sutra pages with pretty tame sex acts like blowjobs, while the mc is already balls deep in each of the various love interests. The update pacing is terrible, and I feel bad for his Patreon supporters, as instead of the previous bimonthly story updates, it becomes a single story update once a month.

The worst part is that NLT created side girls that have 0 story involvement that have more sex scenes than anyone else in the cast. And that's what 1 update every month is dedicated to.

NLT nailed it again, for those who already femiliar with his style it is a great a game. Better then TGO and closer to TON which is my favorite.

The characters are diverce and hot.

The story is fun, could be better, yet its fun and servable.

The new mechanics are mixed, and the fling machenic is half baked in my opinion. He could invest in two-three side flings that have more scenes, character depth and some role in the story.

I hope that NLT will develop his formula more in the future and maybe add some branching storyline similar to Being a DIK

    Apartment817

I do not understand how people can enjoy this game. The game play is horrible, nothing makes sense. Map is designed to be a maze that is hard to memorize, yet the entire gameplay is figuring out where on 100 screens you need to click to pick up an item to craft another item.

Nothing logical about it just mindless clicking until you find it.

Or you play stuck to reading the walkthrough step by step, the walkthrough is useless unless you follow each step in it, otherwise there is literally no way to figure out what step you are missing.

All this so that you can see completely sterile, unsexy cg scenes. They are incredibly boring because they are all the same overly polished scene one after another.

I have a wide range of attractions, nothing in this game is sexy. Such a waste of resources.

After five completed big games I thought NLT media improved a bit but nope there are still the same boring scenes. Nothing that makes you think, "wow thats new". Just the same bam bam bam and cum... yawn.

We can definitely expect much more from a dev with 10.000 paid members.

This is not how games are developed. This is how cash cows are farmed.

This is obviously a con to keep money flowing in while someone who calls himself a Developer completely fails to understand or follow ANY defined developmental processes. What if a bug is introduced and goes unnoticed? Who cares? Certainly not the con artist taking people for an easy ride...

Ignore this utter nonsense, unless you enjoy being played for an idiot.
