Review for v0.6
A rather simple dating sim with a furry flavor. You take over a bar and meet some cute furry girls, date them, and have sex. Not much more to it than that, which is fine.
To get it out of the way first, my only real problem with this is that the sandbox mechanics of this game all feel like a chore. Not really a hard chore, but a tedious one. I think some of the worst mechanics in sandboxes are having to spam repeat actions and gifts to raise affection stats to make anything happen. That's about 50% of what you end up doing in this game. Is a little hug action for a girl cute? Yes. What I don't enjoy is having to repeat that hug action 10 days in a row to unlock a new event.
I'm exaggerating a bit as it is all easy enough to do, but I don't think it adds any value to the game whatsoever. The bar mechanic is fine mostly because it's about as unintrusive as possible.
Thankfully the girls themselves are cute. Again all pretty simple stories so far, but I found myself really liking the fox and cat girls. The actual events you do with them are fun enough. I like the phone element as well, but I found that girls kept sending me repeat messages. Sex scenes are aright, and while maybe not the best furry models you've seen, they work. Not a ton more to say, as the game really isn't trying to be more than what it is if that makes any sense.
I probably would have enjoyed this more if I had the cheat code to assumedly edit stats and skip all the mindless stuff, but the game beyond that is fine. I think if this was more of a standard visual novel instead of a sandbox dating sim I would have also enjoyed it more. Perhaps if the game just had a visual novel mode? If it ever gets one I would bump the rating up a star.
