Disappearing? I didn't have any problems with my saves for this latest release. What do you mean by "disappearing"?

Hmm, I have 0 saves and 0 autosaves, too. I may have missed the previous update, but I have played this before. I was past them being in the temple with the fake goddess statue.

And, if you're on a PC, have you opened an explorer window (showing any file folders) and in the field at the top typed %appdata% and then gone to the RenPy folder and finally to a folder called TotE-Goblin_Encounter? That would be the place on your hard drive where it should be located. If somebody on Windows doesn't have that folder, either they never played the game or else the folder got deleted (possibly via moving hard drives, for instance).
(On a Mac, I don't know where the secondary spot for save files would be, but I think Ren'Py still creates a backup folder somewhere.)
Anyway, I have no idea why that would be missing for anybody who had played before unless they did something to get that folder deleted themselves. It's possible a virus could delete that, but that isn't the type of thing a virus normally attacks.
There was a change with the persistent name folder in v0.4.1.
Before it was "TotE:Goblin_Encounter", now it's "TotE-Goblin_Encounter"

Strange. I only have the newer name on the folder in my RenPy directory, and yet I have played this since Chapter 3, so well before the folder name update. Ofc, for all of those folks who don't have a folder in AppData like they should, there is always the saves folder within the game folder, unless they been regularly deleting the game after playing or something. Storage space these days is so damn cheap, I don't see why anyone would need to delete after playing each new release.

FYI, on a Mac, Ren'Py saves it save files in ~/Library/RenPy, nowhere else.

This is because colon is a reserved character in PC filenames and thus the attempt by the Ren'Py engine to create that as a folder failed...silently.

If it failed silently, would it not make a save folder, or would it have some random generic name?
EDIT--looks like from some older posts in this thread that it wouldn't create the persistent RenPy folder so the saves would only exist in the game folder, so if you delete that folder to save space in between versions, up until now, you have been deleting the saves, too. Fuck me.. damn it.

I found the game by chance a few months ago and I liked it a lot!
I was surprised to see that 2 more chapters were added since then. A welcome surprise
Here is a honest review, I really like the game but I don't want to magnify it.
Chapters 1 to 2 are my favorite. I love the relationship between the main character and Gazi. It starts really sweet. Lots of cute scenes as well. I also like the other goblin girls, especially the red haired one. The whole scene in the temple is great and feels natural somehow. The slime girl is an interesting addition in term of character, but I don't really like her design to be honest. At least she can change her appearance...
Chapter 3 felt really short in comparison to the others. I don't feel it added a lot to the plot, or at least it didn't pique my attention. Gazi met with the goblin deity in an important scene, but not much happened besides that, that I remember. The group met some new characters, the girls got new clothes, that's about it.
Chapter 4 was quite good. Only critique I have is that most of the chapter is sex scenes, and there's a lot of girl/girl content. The lesbian scene between Gazi and her friend after the "lesson" felt a bit unnecessary. The scenes are OK, but since the chapter is short they feel kinda heavy. Sex scenes should not take more than 1/3 of the chapters in my opinion...
I hope that the future chapters can reach a better balance between story/intimate scenes. Maybe make some chapters about as long as chapters 1 and 2?
The red haired goblin sounds more adventurous and dominant in that chapter, which I really liked. I'd admit that her scene with the female orc felt like it came out of nowhere...Even with a "crush at first sight", this kind of action should have taken more time I think.
Her second scene with Gazi and Alexi was great in my opinion. I like her showing more of a dominant side. I don't have a problem with her "dominating" Alexi (as other people said) as long as it happens only during her "lessons" with Gazi. And yes, I liked the feet stuff. It was brash and cocky, just like her personality
One last thing: the main character didn't look so much like the main character in that chapter. He felt quite passive. he deserves some character development. The voiceless goblin girl might deserve some more screen time as well.

It's cool that she was more dominant. I didn't like that the MC acted like the typical sub.Her second scene with Gazi and Alexi was great in my opinion. I like her showing more of a dominant side. Maybe pick a lane and stay there?
Switches exist, but I don't think he is set up this way in the story. So I agree with you here.
