VN - Ren'Py - Tavern in the New World [v0.2] [LestatDX]

Awersome work and animation. 8/10. Very repetitive gameplay. But intresting situation. Playing version 0.11 I saw potential for a large number of plot forks. I hope the trend continues. For now I give it 5 stars in absentia.

I like this game.
I think there are some new and quite novel ideas I've seen.
Especially when the step father says ‘maybe he's sleepwalking’. that's a pretty good idea for you to put into a story and the character designs are very good. I like how the story goes from this version (0.11).

Art is very mediocre, there is not even a lot of cgs, they just get repeated again and again. The Storytelling is not good as is the character development. The gameplay is horrendous. Its a mix of sandbox and a LOT of gameplay loops.

This game is not worth more than two stars. Sorry but its lacking in every department. Maybe its the first project of the dev, it certainly feels like… anyway good luck.

Very grindy (too many clicks to get story to progess)
Randomly generated scenes/reactions give the illusion of progress

At least update the context menu for when you're working. Right now it is completely unclear what it does other than force you to rewatch scenes.

Pretty hot game. The game is still in early stages but the premise is interesting and hot. Feels like it could be 5 star if Dev continues so I'll rate it 5 stars.
There are however things to improve:

• Sometimes the text doesn't make sense. I don't care very strongly about grammar but some editing would be helpful to ensure everything is readable.
• Sandbox is not usually preferred but if Dev wants to proceed they really should fill out the necessary locations with atleast default images. Empty locations without content are not fun
• Lastly it needs some coding adjustment. Story sometimes gets stuck and same scenes start repeating after a point of time. The bad part is that you'll basically end up seeing scenes from very start of game not the latest H-scene. The reset of scenes is unpleasant

Nonetheless the game is getting better and overall I like it very much. Nice work dev!
