So to begin with, I am a fan of the weird (some of Ray-K's past titles and other kinds of media, not really relevant to the review though) and this game just from the preview images immediately peaked my curiosity. Once I fired up the game, I was introduced to a paper doll interface which is always a welcome feature in my books, plus there was the conventional set of (porn RPG) RPG stats so nothing too extravagant and pretty conventional. So fast forward, the story initiates with the introduction of the mc's and transportation to the other world, and my oh my! Was I pleasantly surprised to have the first thing to be confronted with, be such a heavily inspired Xenomorph character (Aliens fan over here). Having started with a male character with high int and charisma was a joyful experience once the interactions started rolling out, it made me go back to the old FO's game experience (FO 1 to NV) with the witty retorts and the flirty stuff. From then on, every encounter (unsolicited or sought after) felt fresh due to all being differently unique, requiring different types of approach, that depended not only on the dialogue system but also on the sex of the mc as well as their stats.
The navigation in the game can be a bit tricky, and it could also be the only downside of this game (in my experience) since it required the player to press each and every singular circular space to travel from point A to B. You may be wondering why this might be bad? Well to be concise, those circular spaces are not delineated with a standard size, having some of them ranging from too big to too small, making the map a bit difficult to traverse, situation which was worsened with the fact that there was no fast travel button (atm) onsight. I must add, apparently, you can move through the map using the arrow keys, so the navigation is much more bearable that way (I wasn't aware of this when I wrote this review, thanks, Kubikiri).
As far as combat goes, it follows the standard of turn-based RPGs, but it involves a system of chance and stat point investment per turn and move, which could be a bit complicated to grasp at first. In addition to it, you will have to work with a deck to specify (in the future I guess) the actions per turn by creating or modifying an action/combat deck. In regards to items, they are fairly typical in how they are implemented, some are situational and play out for events, others like the weapons grant you different actions for your action/combat deck to play with.
When it comes to the character designs, I think we can safely say that if you enjoy the Alien lore and world, you just might have found a gold mine in here, with interesting aesthetics that brings back a familiar feeling to the black-blue, 2.2 m (7 Feet) tall acid-spitting monsters and other otherworldly characters, that might or might not trigger some folks trypophobia. Backgrounds, well, they are original but nothing much to say or write about them.
Oh, I almost forgot! The sexy stuff is well written, though you will have to stomach some of the stuff if you are not keen on the strange and are too vanilla (accustomed only to human and human sex). Pertaining to how are the sex scenes showcased, I must indicate that they are displayed in a somewhat minimalistic representation that follows a progression in the sequences of the acts; I can't say for sure if these representations (in my opinion sufficiently erotic in nature) which lack colour are placeholders or the final iteration of the respective CGs per scene, so I will abstain from judging them too hard.
I can safely give this game a thumbs up and recommend it to anyone that wishes to lose themselves in this interesting world, with abundant weird personalities and distinct alien depictions.
