this game really surprised me. I thought the days of PinkTea/Akabur style drawn adventure/trainer games was over, and then this comes by and blows my expectations out of the water!
could the art be better? maybe, but it is good enough and many projects with better art lose steam because of the added time/ expense that quality demands. Plus the art still feels miles better than the AI slop or HS2 models that a dozen other games on this site use.
But what really shocked me most of all is the fact that the scope of the game feels so big, (it's taken me about a dozen or so hours to get to the end of all the content) but simultaneously there is so much evidence that Cri-Ten isn't going to drag this out. Every love interest has been displayed on the cover since the start, the game is going for a 3 act structure and we know what is going to be covered in each act, even at act one a lot of elements of act 2 were foreshadowed (Cri-Ten clearly had the majority of the story set out from the beginning), and a lot of the stories weave into each other in a way that prevents side character bloat. What I am trying to get across is that this is clearly a well planned project that I see basically no chance of being abandoned out of nowhere, and the writing so far has made me confident that the ending will be a good one.
