VN - Ren'Py - The Adventurous Couple [TACOS Part 8b] [Mircom3D]

Maybe I’m not exaggerating when I say, this game is a basic requirement for NTR lovers. Personally I found many instructive elements in it, so it's also worth a try for those, who are not really open for this topic.

A little brief introduction for the new ones. The game is about a married couple who have been living together for years, and they still love each other very much, however their sex life have already became boring. Then the husband (The MC) brings up his old desire again, to involve a third person in their relationship. This is where the story begins..
The game will unfold pretty slowly step by step, and it wont rush you with a bunch of NTR content. Just like when you put an ornamental fish in a bag of water into an aquarium. The story builds up pretty well, so you won't be able stop the reading.

In fact, I could list for hours why this game is so good and why it’s worth to try, but there is about 80 review already before mine, where these benefits are described. But there are many negative posts too, especially in the comment section ...more than what a developer needs. The game has received a lot of criticism lately, and many of them I felt unfair.
Personally I don’t think it’s the Dev’s fault that this game is going in the wrong direction. It’s rather ours.. The problem is not there when a lot of people describing their ideas, because if they are useful it's always come in handy. The problem is that after each update a multitude of dissatisfied people flood the page. But since we are not the same, there will always be someone who is not satisfied.
When the dev reads these critiques, we are not motivating, but rather demotivating him. No surprise then if his mood will goes away from the sequel.

Unfortunately the game has reached that state, when you feel on the story the dev is working under pressure, and he trying to satisfy everyone ...And the result is a multitude of empty dialogues and some sex scenes which no longer have any effect on the reader. Thx to us, the game became soulless. But I don’t want to join the ranks of critics, so I won’t go into detail more about the negatives what we caused.

My goal is for this game, to regain its old feel, so I give a piece of advice to the Dev.
I suggest to return to those parts and chapters, when he was making the game with full heart, and when the game was in its heyday.
But first, the game needs a good meaningful story, and instead of the many pop-in characters whose names we forget in 2 minutes, we rather need constant actors.
I am thinking of characters, who we will remember until long time.
It is important that we get to know their personalities and characteristics, and they must be a constant part of the story. They can be old friends from the past, or we can get to know, and meet new ones.
I'm not saying Ryan should return, because I feel his story is closed already, but even he is an option. Not each of them needs to be a rival for the MC, but if one of them would fall in love in Anne, that would be even more interesting.
It is important yet, that these new friends do not be a "female magnets", because there were already enough handsome boys, and machos in the game, and I find them too boring.

About the sex scenes.. I guess, sometimes the less is more. This game is partly ruined by because in the last chapters it only consisted of pointless fucking.
It is important to develop some kind of attachment between Anne and the other guy, because I think we saw enough emotionless sex in the game already. The story needs to be build up step by step until they get to the sex. We may see a cheating scene less often, but in the end it will have a bigger impact. Then finally the emotions will surface, just like the erection while we peek them.

I hope this game one day gets the old again, and will continue for a while. I played more NTR game already, but The Adventurous Couple always remains special to me.

A very good game with a great concept, I love these kind of stories where you focus more on the women and the graphics and renders are awesome. This is one of my favorite games here on f95zone and i strongly recommend playing it.

As it was written below, it feels like the author has run out of ideas.
In my opinion, the story lacks some kind of intrigue, scandal ... or jealousy.

Everything became too boring and bland.
The game turned into a brainless sex marathon, with monotonous characters and meaningless sex scenes.

After the first couple of updates it was going great. Probably one of the better hotwife games around and a couple doing what they could to spice up their sex life.

Then it seems the dev ran out of ideas for that and just decided on making another cheating wife simulator.

By this latest update it's not so much an adventurous couple, it's more a sluts daily life. It's even at the point she's getting feelings for other guys so the couple part isn't going to last long.

I find it strange saying this in a game with so much sex but it's got boring. It's predictable, sex scenes are more or less the same thing with a different guy and if you started playing to see an adventurous couple then you came to the wrong place.

Even worse if you catch her cheating and call her out on it, she gets mad at you and the husband just gives in.

She's taking enough dick to put prostitution out of business and the husband gets 1 little sniff of something on a rare occasion, just gets to watch his wife fuck around on those she doesn't sneak around on.

tl;dr, it started off great but turned into a bland mess. Adventurous "couple" won't be a couple for long and she bounces from one cock to the next like some weird porn pinball.

Hello, I am using a translator so please be indulgent in advance. This is the game I have played the most and just for that I would like to thank the dev. The first time I got a game over. The next one I let it go and I started to hate Anne. And for the first time I thought of her at other times in my real life. I restarted the game once more trying to balance the possible choices but I, like each of us obviously, received small stabs according to the sentences or the choices of Anne. What exactly better work of art makes you feel the feelings of the main character? Reading a lot of the last comments confirms this impression. We are all obsessed with new updates as we are passionate about the fate of our favorite characters in the cinema or elsewhere. And many regret what Anne becomes or what she could become. What about us in there? We allowed, suggested, encouraged, tolerated, accepted so many things ... And that's how it's going to end? Maybe ... The choice will fall to the author who has accomplished a titanic work and whom I thank once again for having made me feel a little what an adventurous couple is going through.

The game is fun but pretty much all aspects of the game are a mixed bag.

Renders vary from good to cheap, luckily the most prominent ones look good. (the game is a bit older so newer games tend to look much better). Backgrounds are generally dull.
Ann has a bit too many hours in the tanning salon for my taste and often looks to have weird make-up but she looks good most of the times.
Same for animations, they vary from good to an excorsist scene.

The story is great though the pace is too fast for my taste. She practically goes from good wife to full blown slut almost overnight. A bit more tension building wouldnt hurt the game. Despite that I still enjoyed it.

You meet tons of characters and most have little to no development. I get the while fuck a stranger thing but it's just too much, they often also look terrible.

All in all and enjoyable game Despite it's flaws

An enjoyable experience with an attractive wife who is keen to explore her sexuality. All of the models in the game are hot and the sex scenes are done well. I'm all for NTR content as long as it is temporary or there is no risk that the women develop feelings for the non-player characters. That is one risk for this game as the story develops.
I look forward to more from this developer.

Version Played: Ch 12 (I think...)

Here is a game that knows exactly what its players want and leaves the jerking to them.
While I'm not a super huge fan of Anne's model, the content is very hot and the game sets things up for her adventures very well without the endless teasing and blueballing games like this often have.

Positives
+ Hot content and a lot of it!
+ MC can choose to bone other people as well so everyone is having a fun time

Negatives
- Some of the dicks are freakishly huge -- it goes from hot to silly pretty quick (I don't hate it tho)

This is a very good NTR game.
That's the main point. If you're not into NTR/sharing don't bother.

That said, the present animations are good, there's a lot of content and a very interesting story. Of course, it starts as the usual husband wanting to share his wife thing, convincing her and proceeding to her becoming a slut.
But it's still a nice journey with interesting characters. I also like how
. I feel that this add another heart-wrenching side to the NTR thing, becoming a real NTR and not just a sharing game.
If that's unclear, sharing is more of a consensual thing where the husband is happy that the wife is having sex with others and she too, while NTR is more of a cheating behind the husband's back - but that's not all. The main thing is that there needs to be an emotional aspect besides the physical one. In this case, it's a breach of trust while the partner becomes more and more twisted without the knowledge of the other.

Early on this was one of my favorite VN's and one that I anxiously awaited updates for. However as the story has progressed I have become more and more frustrated.
Initially I felt like the Dev was doing a good job of portraying the hotwife/trophy wife genre. But for me - that trophy starts to lose its luster if she will literally fuck every guy she interacts with. I understand that a lot of these are choices and you can choose to not have her fuck some of the guys. But if you say no, she usually gets pissed and you lose love/relationship points.
The VN now is basically - 2 roommates that go out and fuck everyone that even says hi to them.

But honestly the promiscuity isn't my biggest issue with this VN. My biggest issue with this VN is - Ann continually makes comments that really make me feel like she is a bitch. Some examples of what I am talking about are - when she is going to have sex with Dre and you choose to join in, afterwards she says - I really wished it could have been just Dre and I; so your wife is frustrated that you decided to join in while she fucked another guy. Then there is another scenario where Ann meets another couple who is interested in trying a sharing/open relationship, so Ann sets up for the wife come over and fuck you - which is great, but afterwards the wife comments how awesome the sex was and Ann says - if you think my husband is great, wait until you fuck Dre or Malcolm. There are several other scenarios where Ann comments how the sex she had with whomever was 'The best sex she has ever had'. Then the most annoying comment from Ann was in this latest update, she fucks this guy Thomas and afterwards, when she is talking about it, she mentions that in the moment she felt in love with Thomas. This is a guy she has met twice and only even found out his name like an hour ago.
The main reason why these comments are very off putting are - this VN has a love/relationship point system and in one of my playthroughs I have almost the maximum love/relationship points. I could totally understand your wife developing feelings for other guys and preferring other guys over the MC if you were making choices that were causing your points to be lower. But if in your playthrough you are at nearly maximum love points, i dont expect your wife to be commenting on developing feelings for other guys.

Basically I am playing the VN on the love/relationship path and honestly at this point I just feel like Ann is a bitch and if I had the choice - I would kick Ann to the curb and move on one of the countless other women that are throwing themselves at the MC.

The Adventurous Couple (Chapter 13 version, though I only got to the beginning of Chapter 8) is a game that falls in the middle of the pack. I must admit I'm not too much of a fan of the cuckold and so on stories, but I do like good stories, so I admit that as far as this one goes, at least it doesn't seem to be as full of drama as the genre usually has. The problem with the story is that it's too full of cliches to make it interesting, and most of the relations of all characters evolve very very quickly, with often enough having very little choice. For example, I wanted to create an open relationship, but I found very little chance to tell her of what I do on my side, while she tells me what she does on hers. Together with the general clicheness of all relations, it made me lose interest quickly and move on to other games.

Graphics-wise the game is not bad but isn't great either. Renders are decent, but sometimes (especially in the earlier chapters) have some errors. Animations are decent as well, but usually few. And so far I didn't find any bugs outside some graphic glitches mentioned earlier.

All in all, The Adventurous Couple is a decent game for those that are interested in this genre a lot, or those who like cliched stories. For those that don't fit either of those molds, the game falls in the middle cathegory, worth playing if you got time on your hands but probably worth skipping if you have other options. 5/10

it's really a cool game with a good plot is something i don't see many play and i really enjoyed, ntr is really very good, i really liked Anne and i'm very curious to see what her next adventures will be, i hope the game still has a lot of content post I liked to follow the story

A long time ago I appreciate a lot this VN (I gave it a full 5/5)........but now the revisting story it' so boring... no spice, it has lost the aggressive precedent sexual beat . The black screens during the scenes.. why?? The use of the telephone in which you don't see nothing just a lot a lot of words and just some pictures why???.... Tacos seems the old parents of the other version.. No more intriguing facial expression... what's happened to my fav game??? I'm still on patreon...but I don't know for the future... So I deeply regret what has happening. Once It was One of the best game that I ever played..

really very good, would love to see further development of the Dre story line in both the cheating and cuckold paths, with hard or light options for the cuckold route and perhaps a touch darker in places have him more dominant, aggressive during sex.

The game looks great, the main couple are very likeable if a bit dim, and there is lots of content and sex scenes abound. One star knocked off this otherwise five star game because those sex scenes, gasp, get a bit boring and repetitive as the game goes on. There isn't much variety kink wise, just fairly vanilla sex between the girl and pretty much every man she meets.

Interesting and somewhat unique cuck/NTR game but isn't without it's share of problems.

Pros

• Excellent renders, character models, and visuals
• Beautiful character models
• Character models have realistic body proportions
• Writing isn't overly verbose and the game moves along at a good pace
• Awesome game if you love to be cucked constantly
• Game has a good amount of content

Cons

• The 2 to 4 frame animations in the game hurt many of the sex scenes in the game. Many of the animations need more frames (i.e. higher FPS). Even some of the later content animations suffer from this problem (so it isn't just an early game issue).
• Not a fan of the non-looping animations that are commonly used
• Some sex scenes and animations are reused (MC and Anne). This is a big time no no. Very few authors make this mistake but this author does.
• Very few choices in the game
• The MC gets cucked over and over again with no options to say no (98% of the time you have to go along with it and have no choice). The author needs to at least make the random NPC cuck encounters optional (such as the random guy in the movie theatre).
• Your wife Anne becomes a total slut very early in the game and it tests the limits of what an open relationship means (and not in a good way). Example: Anne fucks the shit out of a guy and either says that it was the best sex of her life (with you standing there) or the best orgasm she has ever had (with you standing there).
• Sex scenes with the MC and other girls are very lackluster. They lack passion and start and end very quickly with little foreplay. Sex scenes with the MC and Anne are largely the same way aside from a few exceptions. It is very clear that the author is mostly focused on sex scenes with Anne with other men and everyone else is just an afterthought.
• Anne has thought about anal and is an anal virgin but is willing to let a perfect stranger take her anal virginity instead of her husband.
• Approximately 50% of the way through the game, the MC and Anne are too tired for each other each night and pretty much ignore each other sexually for long periods of time. They constantly tell each other how much they love their spouse but they ignore each other sexually. Sex between the MC and Anne should be a highlight of the game but it is disappointing and a big let down instead. A missed opportunity here!

Additional thoughts

The game went from being the adventurous couple to just watching Anne get fucked day after day by random guys. I wish the game got back to it's roots of swinging and being adventurous together instead of Anne having 80% of the fun while the MC watches her get plowed day after day (NTR, cucking).

I would love to see the MC and Anne have sex parties with their friends and play sex games like spin the bottle, truth or dare, etc. That would involve both partners equally instead of the MC being a cuck most of the game, watching his wife get pounded day after day while he watches. There are also sex clubs and swinging groups that the couple could explore or even start. The couple could also do a lot with creating their own roleplay scenarios and acting them out. They could even involve others at times with their fun roleplays.

Too many of the cucking / sex scenarios are highly unrealistic (especially the random NPC cuck encounters). For example, the random guy in the movie theatre sits next to you and Anne and starts touching and rubbing her leg with you sitting next to her. Keep in mind that Anne did absolutely nothing to encourage this in any way (she often does, but not in this case). Scenarios at least need to be plausible! I wanted to tell the creep to get lost but again wasn't given the option. Sometimes I just want to have a good time with my wife Anne without turning every scenario into a cuck event.

What's up with the bedtime sex with Anne? Anne or the MC will ask if their partner is up for some fun together before bed. 50% of the time Anne ends up giving the MC a handjob and that's it. That after she fucked the shit out of one or more guys earlier in the day. The MC only gets a handjob half the time?

The game could have had a really good corruption element to it with the MC slowly corrupting Anne and convincing her to do more and more things and become more and more adventurous. The problem is that Anne only resists a little bit at the very beginning of the game. After you are 15% of the way into the game, Anne is pretty much open to anything. She needs almost no encouragement whatsoever to be a total and complete slut and nymphomaniac. This is a missed opportunity in my opinion!

The author could turn this into a 5 star game if he fixed the above issues.

I rate the game 3.5 stars but since I can't I'm rounding down (99% of the time I round up but there are too many glaring problems for me to do so with this game). I've reviewed a lot of games on this site and if my memory is correct, this is the first game that I've ever rounded down on the rating.

I can't recommend this game to everyone but it was a fun and interesting game for me overall.

One of the best game around if you like seeing the LI getting more and more adventurous (wink) ; you have almost complete control over what happen (or you can choose not to have control).
An impressive amount of content and choices (and hopefully even more to come) ; the design of the wife is simply astounding and the animations are top notch.

Visuals are note top of the class but rock solid... with an adorable main character.
Of course with room to get better e.g. by making the story (dialog) even more beliveable in order to create "that" charged taboo atmosphere.
But again, one of the best.

What an amazing game! I am REALLY impressed with the quality of content here. So many scenes, so many characters and so much great content. The story is awesome and the art and animations are kinda ok in the beginning but really improve as the game progresses. Really looking forward for next releases.
