As of Build 2025-08-08
I've never played Crypt of the Necromancer like the other reviews have mentioned so I'll just say that it's like Guidus Zero (but less roguelike)
The lore/worldbuilding was nice, the art is good too.
The gameplay has a sharp learning curve, as in the fact that once you learn not to be reckless and how to time your attacks and everything, the game turns piss easy and you will often find yourself not taking any damage, which does not help considering that Floors 1-5 felt [essentially] the same.
Also like I think the games missing input buffering cuz I often find myself wanting to face the enemy but then the game eats my input and I either tank a hit or have to wait even longer to kill one enemy. And so it feels clunky in that department.
Im a sucker for upgrades and resources so that gets a 10/10 for me
4/5 game, would play again, can't wait for new content amen
