VN - Ren'Py - The Button [Tap 8] [Burst Out Games]

There really isn't much to say because there's isn't much here. Three years and thirty minutes of content, max, and unless I broke the game by rolling back then you don't bang either daughter.

So there's an interesting concept, sure, that's why I downloaded it in the first place. But not only is there no family fuck there's not even any family nudity. There's zero backstory and only the teeny tiniest pinch of plot development with an ex-wife...whose scenes last sixty seconds at best. The game is less than 300mb and it shouldn't even be 30mb because everyone looks like assholes and the scenes are bland.

There's zero redeeming qualities on display. It's absolutely a waste of time in every single possible way. Only bother if you legitimately hate yourself.

This game's first version, Tap 1, was short but pretty solid. I was hooked on the rewind time ability and what naughty things the MC could do with it. But after that, the game has been a huge disappointment. The updates are short, far between, and don't have any interesting content. To me, this game is a huge nothing burger. Very rarely, do I ever see anything remotely interesting and when I do, it's not fleshed out enough. It's just one or two pictures with no sex or nudity, and then it's over and back to the boring stuff. If this game is going to have 25 or more Taps, then maybe there is room for the game to grow. But if it is just going to be a 10 Tap game, then it was a waste of my time. The MC and the guy who gave him the wrist watch looked good. But a lot of the females look bleh . I wish there was more content with the daughters and less content with some random nobodies I don't care about. This was a one star game for me. I am only giving it an extra star because the first version was interesting and it made me eager for more, but sadly every release after that has sucked.

This game doesn't dserve 3 stars actually for me its rating is around 3.4 a game with a lot of potential but is still barbones in its presentation to give it anything more than that. and that is my reasoning to give it such rating.

It writing have a tinge of comedy which is genuinely refresing, its character models are okay nothing to write home about , but not ungly that it put off readers. The USP of this game in my opinion is the button mechanisms that changes the outcome so wildely that it is genuinely great. It have apt ambient music, and just enough barebbone cast to not make it boring.

The only reason I am going toi give it a 3.4 is that its button mechanism have no long lasting effect beyond the the immediate action, i.e, the choices made means nothing, as dialogues and scenarios that unfolds are exactly the same, which put off tyhe player becauyse it does a grave uinjustice to its theme .

Overall a great concept with barabones execution.I wil;l; play this game when it have more chs thoufgh by the way it is updating especially wit the sht lengths of its chs I am not expecting it to be anytime soon.

I did like the concept of the tap but the story just isent there, MC is to brainless and i guess its supposed to be fun but not having any controle really ruins the hole idea of the tap, i mean take the office scene where it forces a girl on you, first a BJ and if you tap its sex insted so theres no avoiding it and it also makes no sense for MC to do anything with someone whos the ennemy of hes daughter unless he wants to ruin any relationship he has with hes daughter, so that makes MC brainless and someone who cant controle him self and fucks anything that moves no matter what.

It also feels pointless when using the tap option and outcome is 100% the same, dialogs dosent even change like only getting a BJ from office girl and the daughter still talks about MC fucking her, so 100% same dialogs making the tap pointless and gives you that kinetic novel feeling.

Im just not into those type of mindless fuckfests game with 0 relationship build-ups and brainless MCs it just isent fun in any way.

Also the lack of controle makes the hole point of taping pointless, game would have been a million times better if it gave you the option to say yes or no to the office girl and then tap after if you dident like what happened, like clicking yes to fucking her then tap to undo it, but the way its set up it will proberly never pay to use the tap option at all which again makes the plot pointless.

Girls are pretty standard nothing you havent seen before, the animations are subpar and bland not that there are many of them.

Music is ok but nothing special.

Choices is a huge fail since you dont really controle anything MC does, forced LIs is just not my thing and the tap cant undo anything either so yeah its just boring.

As for content im supprised how little there is, game is more then 2 years old and theres one forced sex scene and thats it and as for main story its barely even started, you should consider this a demo or test of concept since theres really nothing to come for yet and by the rate this is progressing you should proberly wait 10 years or more then maybe theres a little more to come for.

This is a weird one for me... After 2 years of development, there's hardly any content to show here and the reason being the dev working simultaneously on 4 different games. Now, I like BOG and his way of thinking outside the box, specially with The Button & Alt Ctrl Delete, but the updates seem to take forever for the amount of new content per new update.

Other than that the story is unique and renders are great, That's all I can say, because there's hardly any content to critique.

As of -v0.0.4- I really have enjoyed this game. It is still on early dev, but the concept is pretty great and there is lots of fun here. Hopefully the next updates will bring more content

The looser vibe of the character and the possibility of changing his doomed story (and seeing how awful it can be) really makes it more appealing. The patch is necessary for the story to make sense, but that's something we constantly see.

The lewd ain't nothing to write home about yet, but I've got hopes it will be improved upon. Can't wait for a few updates

First off, not enough content yet. Wait if you like having a lot when you first look at a game.

I really enjoyed the premise of this one. It is a fun way to handle alternate outcomes, and was amusing.
My only gripe is not enough content yet. So I can't really judge it too much at this time.

What I can judge though, is the sex isn't that erotic outside of just interesting context for it.

The animations are more like a few stills played in a way that makes short animations. Not very sexy in of themselves.

I hope future button presses will have more interesting outcomes. A few were pretty inconsequential feeling. A couple seemed to not even have differences outside the moment in question, which wasn't very rewarding feeling besides minor amusement or preference.

I will be looking at this again, should it get a fair bit of content added.

Good renders, and the dialog is good enough to keep it interesting and not feeling the need to skip. Thus far, (0.0.4) the games selling point is the button mechanic. Although its technically just a like any other option/dialog-option, it feels like opening an easter egg every time.

Leave it to Burst Out Games to have really interesting concepts... and hey they actually have believable dialog in this one! Twins was a nice addition and they aren't hideous. Music is appropriate. Renders are clean. Over all I enjoy the game. Keep up the good work!

Wanted to give this a review since I think this game has a lot of potential if done right! I like the GUI, and I like the models (especially Gwen and Karen). The MC isn't an absolute hunk (dad-bod lol) or strong-willed, but that would defeat the purpose of The Button. He's down on his luck, but not a pushover. He's not conventionally attractive, but not ugly either. I think his model fits the premise spot on! I like the humor of the game so far, I like the fact that the button can have "worse" outcomes (though also more interesting ones), and how whether or not you push the button can curry favor with one daughter or the other.

It's quite a short game and I'd like to see more than one button tap an update, as otherwise it would be worth waiting a few updates to play the next version. I played through all possible paths as of v0.0.3 now in under 10 minutes. If done well, this game could actually be a winner, but the diverging plotlines may prove too hard to keep track of in the future. I assume the dev will eventually just update one path at a time, which could be good for people like me, who will play through all of them anyway! Best of luck dev! I would not be opposed to supporting this project a little further down the road once I see how it's taking shape.

I like it so far; writing is good and fun, story (moderately) interesting, MC is not the most pretty or most brilliant, but relatable; LIs are fun. I like the models (matter of taste of course), graphics is fine.

There is not much content, just the introduction to The Button and the MC. The story also takes place in the same universe as Powers that Be and No Place like Home, the premise is interesting and it seems like there will be a lot of choices to make in the future.
Right now I am giving it a 3 stars for the first, but good luck to the devs, I like their style and humor.

While there really isn't much to go by yet, I do see potential in the possibilities the story can present to us

MC model actually looks like a somewhat washed up father for once, and not a hunky sexgod from the beginning, which might let us improve his looks as the story progress (not necessarily holding out hope for it, but it'd be a nice touch)

Models for daughters are so-so, not terrible but nothing special to write home about

The positioning and emotions of the characters are alright, but can probably be worked on to have a bit more to them, again, it's not a lot we get so I can't really judge it properly yet.

Story, like said, has potential for all kinds of outcomes, however I do wonder how much it'll actually change in the end, considering how many branching paths would have to be made and worked on, so I would assume it'll give us a few different scenes changing from "negative-positive" or "really negative - less negative possibly naughty" with it eventually boiling down to a "choose 1 or Harem" ending like usual. Which usually isn't bad but hopefully it'll be handled properly

Overall I'm optimistic about the future of this project, will update the review in the future and of course wish the developer the best of luck

Seems like the updates are going to be "short and sweet" and more regular than long inbetween times (basically every tap) Seemingly so far what action you take (tap or no tap) will cater to one or the other twins interest, however if that's something that'll be a theme is yet to be determined
