The Company suffers from a lack of actual design. The game plays far more like various ideas merely hammered into place in a rather pieced together fashion. A clear lack of intentional design and far more a reflection of the design being whatever was deemed a 'good idea' at the time.
The overall balance that one would expect at this point in development is non-existent. The game does not recognize time as a resource and will frequently utilize random encounters that do little more than eat away at this resource. This includes instances such as crafting chemical components randomly having one of these encounters after it. Utilizing the back feature of the game does no help as it will simply lock the player into a rather frustrating loop where they are forced to utilize time or take a penalty simply to accomplish goals. Add to that the various instances where the player will attempt to move forward only to have situations where they are constantly attempting to move forward but are hindered because of some other random event forcing the player to once again press the button to move the game forward.
The design loves those events far too much. Nor is there any streamlining of these events. Keep in mind that there are various aspects that are tied to a coin unlock system which is used for other unlockable content. The sheer amount of them and the randomization of whether the player suffers a penalty for attempting to ignore it is also annoying. While certain events do not have a penalty, others blatantly do.
As for the rest of the game, you can tell where outdated systems were not fully removed. A prime example would be the sex system found in one of the characters that is not found with any other. Why does this exist with only one character? Should it not have been removed? As for the content, itself, you can easily see blatantly dated content verses newer content. Reworks based on a lack of clear design from the beginning.
Not recommended in the slightest.
