RPGM - Completed - The Curse of Kubel [v2.02+DLC] [Yasagure Kitsuenjyo/Kagura Games]

This game is so well written, that it is pure high tier level. Those flashbacks forming your relationship receprtion are coming at you to manipulate with power of best tv-shows and games. The visuals are fantastic as well.
The first h-encounter occurs after 1,5 hour of the great story and you don't regret it lmao.
The h-stuff here is not of my taste, but the game is 5 stars!)

As some others have said its not a bad game. I just found it boring. I play NTR for the spice and the interesting plots but I found this pretty lame. She gets forced to have sex with the guy and its unavoidable, and then its just him and her never anyone else. He isn't a very exciting character, just wants to have sex with her and finds a way to do it. Meh. I downloaded the gallery and even then didnt really care for bothering to watch through the scenes.

As someone who loves corruption but hates NTR, I decided to give this game a go because of the art.

I see a lot of people hating on the pure route/ending A, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Many of these games don't bother including a very substantial pure route, but its inclusion in this game felt pretty complete. It also made the obligatory NTR in the other routes less of a buzzkill.

Speaking of the smut, well, what can I say that hasn't been said already. 10/10 h-scenes, 9/10 art, 8/10 variety and quantity. Overall really good, with great voice acting brought in by the append DLC.

Good art, good corruption, a good number of fetishes. Of the minuses, I can only highlight that there is too much grindage and plot... More precisely, on the one hand, it is very simple and it would not be a problem if sometimes there were not scenes of 5 minutes that are not particularly interesting to me.
But it's still one of the best Ntr games.

The Curse of Kubel is one of those games with some good concepts and some hot art, but a lot of game design choices that really detract from the overall experience. First of all, this is an NTR game, so if you're not into that, you probably shouldn't play it.

So going forward, let's assume we at least don't mind NTR too much. The main antagonist is really boring. Just another one of those run-of-the-mill fuckboys. And the main love interest Cero is about as flat as cardboard. He does have a backdrop and a fleshed-out relationship with Magetano, but it's a pretty boring relationship. And here's where one of my main gripes with the game design comes in. There are a lot, a lot, of flashbacks and story cutscenes with a slow pacing in terms of characters moving around during the cutscenes, talking slowly, etc. It's just bad. Worse yet, if you play the game to unlock more than one ending, well, have fun rewatchning some slow cutscenes. Even if you hold CTRL the whole time it still takes far too long.

Another problem is that the main gameplay loop is boring as hell. Randomly generated dungeon floors with enemies who just drain your magic until you either get through the floors and win or lose your mana/gain too much lust and get teleported out. Seriously? These kinds of games need to take a lesson from Cumpet/Succubus's Basket and incorporate some lewd battles into the main gameplay loop. At least you get the not-very optional masturbation parts between floors, but that gets damn repeitive.

The game does have a system somewhat similar to Karryn's Prison in unlocking titles/lewd statuses. But it's not as in-depth here and mostly just affects the endings. I do like it, it is hot, but meh, not that great of an implementation. I would like more games to have these kinds of enduring lewd statuses though.

So, in the end, I feel the game wastes your time too much compared to the porn you get out of it.

There are 46 reviews so I'm going to just hammer one point: Hentai games have something that I'll call the "text to tits" ratio. This being, if you're going to info dump the player you need to compensate them with adequate amount of porn. Think of it like setup and payoff. This game does not have an appropriate text to tits ratio. The pre-hentai section of the game takes, at minimum, over an hour to get through if you read really quickly. An entire hour of lore and backstory before any porn. There is slowburn, and then there is this game.

That's the text, now for the tits. There are 55 scenes in total (including the 4 endings), however, when broken down it is far less. The game has only 19 unique CGs. When broken into unlockables per theme, the game has: 2 masturbation CG (12 scenes), 1 kissing CG (5 scenes), 2 outdoor CGs (2 scenes), 4 post-sex CGs (4 scenes with very slight lingerie variations within these scenes - variations being parts of clothing removed), and finally 10 indoor CGs (28 scenes). You will grind for hours simply to get the same CG over and over again with slightly different and more mentally corrupted text.

Pacing is important, and this game misses that mark. It is too slow in the beginning, though it gets a little better once she starts getting railed. They could have condensed the beginning down to 15 minutes and nothing would have changed. Is the story good? For an NTR game its incredibly good except for "ending A." Regardless, the issue isn't the story itself but the text dump. It is just too damn wordy. While it picks up after she starts down the NTR route the game is still incredibly wordy. Too much text, not enough tits.

Short points: The art is beautiful, gameplay is dull and repetitive with no real mechanics, there is no pure route (with how this game plays, this would've been a great addition as a "challenge" mode. Pure routes in NTR games are always fun additions), ending A is supposed to be the closest to a pure route but is by far the most fucked up, way too much grind, and a fantastic status menu (honestly the best part of the game outside of the art).

Play it, but only if you have half a day available and are more interested in the story behind the NTR instead of the physical NTR... but at that point maybe just read erotica.

A really well made slow-burn ntr game. Perfect for edging while you go through the somewhat tedious dungeons. I really like how the corruption ties into the gameplay. I also love the "rules" aspect of the ntr, a great way to restrict the FeMCs action without resorting to boring old hypnosis magic.

My only criticism would be how it didn't really get into the innkeeper character.

Also, sniffing fetish. More games should have sniffing fetish. Less hypnosis, more sniffing fetish.

I played almost 1 H 30 this fucking introduction for a story that doesn't affect the game that much its tiring at some point.
The gameplay isn't that good and the animation are a bit too much at some point. All this plus some visuals problems I really didn't like this one

Really grindy gameplay, but honestly the best slow-burning NTR I've ever played. Pacing is everything in NTR, and this game nails it perfectly. Also, the art is amazing, the voice acting is nice, and I'm a sucker for game with elaborate sex statistics- especially when they come with badges and levels of sluttitude.
Would recommend without a doubt.

A female-protagonist non-con corruption cheating game that's actually pretty well-written compared to most, properly localized and uncensored.

It has an interesting gameplay concept too, though it doesn't really deliver challenging or particularly engaging gameplay if you actually want to see the sex scenes, in fact you'll probably run out of time to see them all if you're making any earnest effort at the MC's goals. I liked the way dynamic sex scenes (the semi-random ones without dialogue) are used to illustrate the progressive corruption outside of the standard H-scenes, though they would have been better without the large pink text over them.

The premise is a bit of a cliche (heroine is hit with a curse that practically forces her to have sex with someone she hates and/or masturbate constantly), though it has the twist that MC actually regains her powers through sex, so she has a practical reason to give in. Which is much more interesting than just a magical compulsion to have sex, and is used to good effect to illustrate MC's corruption, especially in some of the later sex scenes. One thing that put me off about the sex though is that there's a rape scene that is entirely unnecessary given the already coercive premise.

The H-scenes are well-written, especially for a Japanese game, though the art gets reused quite a bit. There are a lot of scenes though, so fair enough. There's only one sex partner, which may put some players off, but it works for me as it helps show the MC's progressing relationship with him. That said, there's also a lot of exhibitionism (with a masturbation focus, but also public sex).

I should also mention a nasty error that crashes the game at the end of dynamic masturbation scenes. Apparently not using the keyboard during these scenes helps, but it's no guarantee. And yes, this is with the game version and the fix provided in this thread.

Overall, I feel I'd have loved this game, if it were the first of its kind that I played. As it is, I'll just say it's one of the more ambitious and better-executed "lust curse" - type games I've encountered.

I loved it. A game which actually feels like an RPG.

It takes a few hours to establish its characters and the lore so when shit starts to go down, the corruption of the MC is that much more enjoyable. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants to simply play one-handed though.

As a game I don't think it's badly made, but I personally didn't get any enjoyment out of this at all. The first two hours of the game are just backstory and dungeon crawling, both of which were dragging for far too long. Then when there's finally an H event, it's a rape scene. I'd like to say I'm not a fan of a game not letting you choose how the protag loses her virginity. And here's the thing, usually rape here and there doesn't bother me, especially if it's like after losing battle or something, but I felt almost as pissed as the heroine that it was happening. It was the worst payoff to all that backstory. If you are a fan of freedom in these types of games, you will not like this one at all

This game is something else, its very well written but the flashbacks doesn't feel right but beyond that game is well written even if the sex scenes are actually static you can imagine a lot of thing. If somebody like to corrupt noble woman who is stronger than you with cheap tricks then i can recommend this game for you.

The main selling point of the game is the dialogue, corruption progression. The corruption is the core aspect of the game, in-battle dialogue, repeatable sex scene dialogue will change with the corruption progression of the heroine.
It's quiet a slowburn that you need to take time/read a lot of shit to enjoy.

If you go for speed run and skip all the dialogues you will end up with a game which very few CG to offer so I can understand why some people hate this game.

In particular there is one scene that I go back to every once in a while because it is precisely the kind of kink that I like. This game is really great though in a meta-narrative kind of way even if you see reused CGs all the time. Mainly I stuck through just because I'm in it mainly for the dialogue as shallow as it can be in these things.

anyway, reason this gets 5 stars is because it solidifies my belief that cuckolding doesn't exist unless you want it to exist. People aren't property and so you can only ever cuck yourself.

NTR is not healthy for anyone, but there is a reason why NTR is rated top and searched most in Japan.

Always enjoyed ntr games that had the ntr affecting the gameplay itself, otherwise just make a kinetic novel or comic. Having corruption increase the mana pool of the character creates an interesting dynamic.

Took me a while to finish it. Mostly as there were so many scenes and they were all rather good then simply had no energy to marathon the game . I did enjoy the FMC quite a lot and straightforward gameplay with grind made fun as there were scenes on different things that depended on your lewdness level. One of the better H-rpg games as it offers tons of good scenes, solid corruption, cute & hot FMC, great CGI quality and simply fun setting.

Excellent drawings, good story, but too many dialogues and flashbacks one after the other.
Not even in "normal" games are there so many dialogues without something to break the rhythm (fights, images, exploration, cutscenes, etc.).
In a game of this category, the story is important but it is a secondary factor.
After many flashbacks and dialogues the game improves in this respect, and no longer only inserts dialogues and flashbacks but it is too late.
Not even in a visual novel are there so many dialogue without anything breaking, like a choice or something.
I admit I've skipped a lot of dialogue in this game, but I think that's the norm.
Many games on the site have a lot of dialogue, but mixed well with images or scenes, not just one or the other.
That said, I don't recommend the game.
