RPGM - Completed - The Curse of Kubel [v2.02+DLC] [Yasagure Kitsuenjyo/Kagura Games]

Usually i'll write a long and detailed review... but i'm kinda busy recently so here's a short one instead. This game has an entertaining story with character development, plot twist and connecting story line. It's not about a female mage who suddenly becomes a slut and goes fuck everyone, in this game you have to take time and slowly corrupt her. It can be quite boring at the beginning because you have to wait... about 40 minutes just to see the first H-scene. Then about the H-scenes, they're 100% about the female mage fucking a rich scumbag. Also there will be no gang rape, no mind control or prostitute scene or any common H-scenes that you usually see in MRPG. Just a pure NTR route where the female being fucked by a black ugly rich man. You will see her slowly change her mind about sex and develop a feeling to that guy as you proceed through the game. To sum up, if you love the NTR then this is your jam. However, you have to invest your time into this game. Not to mention there will be no other guys in this game except that rich guy. So there might be a little boring due to lack of variety of scenes. I totally forgot about the gameplay mechanic (sorry about that). Anyway, about the gameplay, it's pretty boring because all you can do is walking around a dungeon, finding the gate without running out your mana. I must say that this gameplay mechanic is just to make the game longer than needed. In the end, i must give this one a 3 star due to lack of H-scenes variety (most of the scenes are just the same guy fucking our mage with the different styles in THE SAME room) and poor gameplay idea. However, the story telling is super addictive with character's personal growth. And that was my quick review about the game after 5 hours in it.

This is a hardcore NTR, Blackmail and corruption HRPG game. Obviously, don't try it if you really hate this tag. Minor spoiler ahead.

Prologue/Story :
I might be taking about an hour before going into the actual gameplay, but it's worth it to make us care about both of our MC here, especially if it's an NTR game so you can actually care about it (Story based NTR = Instant Nut Material). You could skip that too if you don't care, but that's IMO just your lost for not caring about it.

It shows in form of flashback on how our MC met, how did they got close and their motivation before getting into the actual plot. Since we're attached to this character more than some average porn game, it's gonna make the NTR and the ending part hit extra hard. It also serve as an actual world building and setup for the plot later on, so you can't really complain about it.

Character :
All of them maybe quite generic, but they surprisingly had some depth to it. You play as Magetono, our one and only playable female MC. She maybe your typical serious blonde from a respected family, but she's actually pretty smart and manipulative IF she's not a slut.

Next we have our male MC. Since this a NTR game, he's the "Beta" in this game, but in a good way. He's a genuine and pure guy with no weird fetish. Sometime, I just feel bad for him because he truly don't deserve to be cuckcolded.

Then we have the" Alpha" in this game. He's the only guy that get to fucked our MC. Frankly, he's an asshole with no redeeming good quality (other than his dick and bed skill). He only serve as the main conflict for our MC to overcome or our main source for corruption.

Mechanic :
Like it or not, this game has ZERO combat. It use mana management to kill monster and lust system to avoid/getting corruption. Due to the plot, there's only one series of dungeon, but it gets harder on each trip. To make it easier, you had to trigger an H-scene, but it only increase your corruption.

H-scene:
It's really hot and nut inducing with multiple background voice and beautiful art style. Since there's only one guy, it sacrifice other fetish to focused on hot scene with various position and play. I especially like the corruption part. It progress steadily and MC doesn't instantly turn into a slut. Some people may not like the recycled CG, but what really matter is the dialogue. It's really well written and well thought depending on MC corruption.

Ending :
It's really good. There's only 4 ending with different corruption level. Some of it might even make you regret choosing it. I can't spoil much, so find it yourself.

Conclusion :

This game is up there with THP and NTRPG2 . Very great NTR game, with Blackmail and Corruption as it's main point. For a porn game , this game had a great story, character, plot, ending, mechanic, art style and H-scene. I like everything about it. Definitely recommended for people who like NTR or like to get into it.

Here's my take to debunk almost every single complain about this game.

Boring story: How? This isn't your typical HRPG corruption game, it's a fleshed out NTR RPG with an actual plot. A good Hentai make a good story as well.

Reuse CG : For only 1 guy, he had 8 base CG and 28 event variation for Indoor Sex alone, not including outdoor sex, masturbation, kissing scene and 4 different ending. In this game, it's the dialogue that matter the most.

There's only 1 guy : It's an NTR focused game, not corruption. Most great NTR medium relied on only 1 guy to fuck the girl so that the cucked one will feel even more helpless. When she's loyal to only a single cock, that's even better than most NTR.

She become a slut to fast : There's this fetish/tag called "Sex under necessity". It's usually vanilla, but this game add in NTR and Corruption into it. The one that enjoyed it is her body, not her mind. Other than the unavoidable rape, all scene are totally optional for people who wanted to make the game easier or wanted to corrupt her. All those scene also shows some steady progression on how she hated it at first before liking it. If she become a slut only for 1 or 2 scene then this game will have only 1 slut ending, and all those scene I mentioned earlier is useless.

Game mechanic suck: At least it's better than most RPG where you have to grind, level up, use skill, fight boss, crafting, manage equipment and so on. Sure, not all RPG are like "that", but most of it are just bad.

Strongly suggest to play to get END A (Low corruption) before going on the corruption path.

It tells a good story, I even felt get moved by the story at some point.


The CG are great, but a little bit too repeated along the way. The English translation is not bad, but some words are translated very strangely. and the action log are lost some times.

Intro is too long and for all the massive amount of text , flashbacks and world built up the writing for the sex scenes is just bad , she gets hooked on blond scum ( she calls him that) cock way too fast , its hard to care when she seems like total slut after getting raped.

Its the type of ntr game where they really try to emotionally attach you to the mc and the cucked dude with so many flashbacks and shit but why all the effort when shes just the typical female mc who gets corrupted so fast with thoughts like I cant live without his cocks after having sex like two times.

The art is stellar and the moaning and sound effects during the scenes are hot and an easy fap , that its uncensored is ofcourse also very welcome. Its a shame theres no gangbang or sex with other guys than blond dude though. I have no probs with slutty mcs , but when they shove massive amount of text to make you care but destroy it with the comical sex scenes its annoying.

I think many people aren't doing this game justice because there's a stigma against NTR in general. Some of the low-rated reviews don't make a ton of sense either. Like what, this game is bad because you only have sex with one person? That just means it's a different style of game than what you're used to. It doesn't make it objectively bad. Anyways, here's my rating for various categories.

Story (4/5)

The beginning and ending of this game almost feel like an anime. In between those things, it's almost pure smut. If there was more material added in between, I feel like I'd consider giving this a 5/5.

The plot lacks a large amount of depth though, but that's to be expected with a hentai game. There's only one game I've played so far out of many that has a phenomenal and in-depth story (I'm sure everyone knows what it is). Since that's the case, I think this game is decent in regards to its story as it has a reasonable amount of depth and is both coherent and mildly entertaining.

Sex Scenes (5/5)

The art is really good. I think that's what makes the scenes so good. Again though, all of the sex scenes are with one person and they're all NTR. If you're the type of person that can't stand NTR then you'll be repulsed by seeing any of them. Personally, I don't give a shit since I'm not the main character myself.

The sex scenes also begin to change in nature as the main character becomes more corrupted, which is nice.

Sounds (?/5)

No clue. I play without sound effects/voice, but the music was nice.

Gameplay (3.5/5)

There isn't much fun to be had with the actual gameplay itself. However, it's not as bad as other RPGs. Instead of mindlessly grinding you actually just one-shot monsters instead, and after the game advances more your goal becomes to actually avoid them. This makes it so that most what you do in dungeons will involve you avoiding monsters and trying to get to the next floor. It's not really that fun but it's doable since it allows you to progress the story and get more sex scenes.

I'm giving this a 3.5 instead of a 3 just because you don't have to mindlessly grind and spam the attack button. This game doesn't feel like a grindy Pokemon game, something which many other RPGs do.

Final Verdict (5/5)

In my honest opinion, I think this game deserves a 4/5. I think 5/5 games should be PERFECT, something that's amazingly fun to play and get everything right. HOWEVER, I have yet to play a hentai game that I'd consider a 5/5, and many hentai games that come out nowadays are complete garbage, so I believe any game with an elevated level of decency deserves a 5/5. This game is definitely better than many that have been coming out this month.

First of all this is my first review, so forgive me if it isn't good, but I was so dissappointed with the game that I felt the need to write a review. I am not kidding, I don't think I ever felt this dissappointed about a porn game before.

Not gonna lie, I don't really care about story that much in a porn game. But the story intrigued me in this game. The build up was decent and it succeeded in being mysterious.

Gameplay: 3/5
I mean there isn't really anything bad with it, it just isn't anything special. At least the developer is kind enough to give us detailed explanations in the game, I appreciate it. There isn't any combat in the game. It is about your mana management. You need to get to the end of the dungeon without running out of mana. Levels are randomized, but they aren't tedious because they're pretty short.

Characters: 2/5
Imo only noteworthy character was Maget. The game has a long intro(around an hour) and has some flashbacks for Maget and the kid(forgot his name). These flashbacks would have actually meant something if the kid was actually relevant to the story. There is the blonde guy that corrupts her. He is your typical porn game pervert who only thinks with his dick even in a life and death situation.

I really appreciate the fact that the developers added thrusting and moaning sounds to the scenes. For me that is a really important factor for arousal. My only complaint is moaning sounds doesn't match once thrusting sound speed increases. But that is just nitpicking. Music wasn't anything special.

Sex Scenes: 2/5 (This one will contain very minor spoilers about sex scenes)
God what a dissappointment. Sex scenes are the most important thing in a porn game. This game does everything else good enough, but fails at the most important thing. You only have sex with one guy, ONE. For me that is just unacceptable and a huge turn-off in a game about corruption with female prot. The game has quite a lot of events. I didn't count it one by one, I'm guessing it's around 50. But guess what? Not only they are with only one guy, but there are only 15 base CG's and of course, not all of them are penetration. Just so you know, if you looked at the screenshots of the game, you've already seen 75% of the scenes. 50 events and 15 CG's, that means most of the scenes have the same CG. I mean yeah they are good and sexy, but too much reused CG's.

So overall if you don't mind the things I mentioned in sex scenes part, you'll probably enjoy the game.

This is one of those NTR games which i can't fap to. I think i'm becoming a softie.

I was thinking real hard on whether i should go for the pure or full slut route. For some reason i went with the pure route.

I suppose i thought that playing the slut route first would make the pure route seem like the obvious choice for the character to make in the game.

Woe is me! I got sucked into the story and the characters that i genuinely wanted them to end together in peace. There are multiple flashbacks that just kept me routing for the main characters. I even used a save editor to make sure i got that damn pure route. Gotta keep Magneto safe ya know?

I finished the route and i was feeling pretty happy. Then it hit me. Like the big schlong of an ugly bastard to a virgin's forehead, i realised my folly.

I felt too happy with the way things ended. To play it again to get the other routes would break my heart. My life has enough heartbreak.

I really have gone soft.

-For some reason i feel like this game hits the same pain that THP does. It probably is due to how invested i was in these characters though.


TLDR: Good NTR game. I'm just too soft for it.

One of the laziest works done by kagura yet. Text wrapping is extremely common on logs, stats and pretty much any other menu. Memories are named differently on the menu compared to the popup you get in-game, which means trying to read their description is a annoying, never-ending hassle. Some memory names (especially in the log version, not the menu version) read extremely like badly edited MTL, and on the menus some items are nigh unreadable because their titles are way too long to fit without making them incredibly small. There are a few (albeit uncommon and short) sections that went completely untranslated, and the crashes were EXTREMELY frequent early game. protip: don't skip through the generic masturbation/sex/outdoor logs with the enter/z key, hold down the mouse button instead, otherwise it's a GUARANTEED crash.

Aside from technical problems, the game is extremely boring in terms of corruption. I could maybe call it passable/average at best, but it's really nothing amazing. I had a lot of hope that it would be better because there's a really long (1h on my run) prologue where there's no h-scene, just introducing the characters and their backstory. The menus also made me pretty excited for what could come later, but when you finally get to the hentai part of the game, all of that buildup is pretty much thrown to the trash because the first scene is defloration rape sex with a slutty babydoll costume, and that CG will be repeated for the rest of the game. That's not the only lack of variation, either. There's very few image sets and they're all repeated multiple times, making the only real variation in the hentai scenes be the text itself, which as said before can sometimes wrap badly or translate weirdly, but mostly are just boring to read, with no real flavour to it.

To compund on to that fact, the corruption is pretty poor, mostly due to a lack of good pacing. After the first sex scene, the girl is pretty much already going to be having sex relatively frequently with the main guy, and the game then treats scenes like kisses and blowjobs as being a STEP UP in corruption compared to degrading, embarassing sex. Really, you'll be halfway through the game and check the stats that say stuff like "how I feel about sex: it feels so good! I can't live without bazria's thick cock anymore" and then the kiss stat just says "I don't like kissing him". The only real step up I felt were the anal sex scene, but on the other hand they felt extremely rushed, especially because it takes a while to go from the first anal scene to the second one, but from the second one onward the mc's already completely into it.

So in summary, as for variety: the game has very few unique image sets, the actual dialogue for the scenes are uninteresting, there's only one guy you have sex with, and the game stagnates in terms of corruption from the third or so sex scene up until almost the end of the game, at which point there's way too little time for much else.

As for gameplay, if you give a shit, it's pretty much pokemon mystery dungeon except real time and monsters die in a single hit (although there's way more of them and they do a reasonable amount of damage), nothing special, and sort of boring at times with the backtracking, but I much prefer it to the usual RPGMAKER fare.

TL;DR: technically the game is extremely poor, with bad text wrapping, bad and inconsistent translations, buggy and with frequent crashes. gameplay is nothing special, but it's passable. story and pacing are extremely plain, not to mention long. There's very little variety to keep you going, with most of the scenes being repeated multiple times, and when it finally starts to do interesting things with the scenes (albeit only in dialogue, the scenes are still the same few image sets as ever), it's over!

here are some recommendations for games that I consider to be way better than this one, most of these are corruption games:
- NTR Knight Story (male mc, NTR, way too fast paced but it's a parody/comedy game so whatever)
- Young Wife Souffle (female mc, NTR)
- Anthesis (female mc)
- Sonia and the hypnotic city (female mc, extremely linear, plays like a VN)
- Acerola games (female mc, corruption, NTR)

Oh man, I'm loving this game.

Story is great. Too many NTR games lately mainly focus on the NTR sex scenes, but true NTR isn't great without characters you are invested in. This game might've taken a bit of a lengthy approach before any NTR scenes appear, but if you pay attention to the story instead of just suddenly whipping your dick out for the sex scene, you'll find that the characters definitely have a strong connection to each other.

And breaking that connection, getting the female character NTR'd after knowing their background story is all the more heartbreaking AND arousing.

Gameplay is completely fresh. Also the fact that the gameplay revolves around the heroine being NTR'd, not the other way around, makes this even better

Cookie-cutter games where either you have to lose to get the h-scenes, or you have to adamantly search around town to get them have been boring lately, so this is definitely a breath of fresh air.

Art is gorgeous, what else can I say?

Probably the only thing I didn't like was that the sex scenes music didn't properly match the actual sex scenes. The Girl was being NTR'd or raped, but the music was..... Happy?

It didn't convey the sense of lust or danger attributed to the scenes, which I didn't know was pretty distracting until now, because previous NTR games had tracks that properly set the mood of the scene.

Nutted like 5 times to this game already. NTR is easily ignored for those that find it distasteful. The intro is a bit long but does a good job setting up the story. As far as I can tell you only have sex with one guy, and it's a slow descent into corruption, which comes across as realistic.

The formula is similar to other games in this genre: Set up a story > make you care about the female protag's motivations > subvert her motivations / put up roadblocks > use those roadblocks to corrupt her more and more. Once the sex scenes start they become increasingly abundant, to the point where they're about as frequent as you'd like. The gameplay is very simple and not turn-based (thank fuck), so you can blow through the busy work relatively quickly, with small breaks for H scenes in between.

If you think you'll like it and have a little patience to get into it, I highly recommend it. My only question is why they even bother putting in a "pure" route, I don't know why anyone would play that way

This game is nice and solid. It knows exactly what it wants to do and does it well. Many hrpg games tend to lose focus and have scattered scenes everywhere that don't connect well. This game doesn't lose sight of what it is.

Aside from the ntr (the dude is in like a coma so I didn't really care about him anyway), the game focuses literally all the scenes on one dude who is corrupting the hell out of the main girl. Its even a somewhat plausible scenario that ties into the gameplay. He seals up your mana that you need to progress in the dungeon, and you only can get it back through sex with him. This makes it even better because both you and the girl are slowly rewarded with power through sex (instead of punished like gamr over rape games), which makes the corruption even more plausible.

The scenes are fantastic. There's not an abundance of cg but they are very nice and used in a way that you don't really feel that they are super recycled. Especially because the writing is good enough.

The gameplay isn't anything special. Its more an extension of the corruption mechanic but it does its job. If you get annoyed with the juggling act to get the best ending, just use cheat engine.

Personally I got the bestest ending, where she went full slut

A nice setup to feel the corruption and NTR better. Be prepared for a slightly longer prologue, then it jumps into action.

The art is amazing and scenes are quite sexy. I have not finished the game yet but I am already very satisfied with what it has to offer so far.

Heroine has these "thoughts" about many characters and lewd acts that gradually change throughout the story. Very fun to "see" into her head as she gets corrupted.
