Earlier I was making a scene with and I came across this fucking absurdity.

So I thought it'd be useful to compile a list of PAs who can't be bothered to scale their environments to Daz figures (or basic human proportions), so we can avoid using their shit.

Be a big long list, I scale most of them back 5 or 10 %

Maybe I just got a bad version when I was trying it out before buying it, but seemed to just be a really weird one. The house itself was huge, at least in comparison to the tiny included preset cameras that came with it. Dropped a figure in just to be sure and it was microscopic. So, I scaled it down expecting it to be at least somewhat normal and instead watched it spin around in random directions while it got smaller. More trouble than it was worth, honestly.

Ended up going with , but just a weird one as most of PerspectX's other stuff is what I'd consider above average.

Uhh..walking like this would result in an accident. Hope she has insurance.

I don't know. I never really pay attention i think but most apartments are not what i am looking for. They always seem to portray a rich environment where i am looking for something more modest.

But even in the real world i have seen staircases that were made for some time when people were shorter.

Every time I see that Double Story Studio asset I shake my head. Just from the preview pics I could see how terribly designed that stairwell was.

In a similar vein, I have a problem with Collective3D and stairwells. Anyone walking up these will bang their head on the ceiling:

That is from:

But Wait! They did it again in:

Rooms sold at Daz3D have made me very wary because many of the artist clearly have no sense of architectural reality.

Not really sure if it's just a western US thing, but I lived in a home for bit that had one just like this (just lighter wood and slightly more off-white walls.). And yeah, you would hit your head if you were tall enough. But you eventually learn to just duck out of habit. So, don't really know what you're basing it off of, but stairwells like this certainly do exist.

What gave it away, the fact the bottom three steps are a foot and a half tall? Lol.

Here's a pic from . Based on the description they use actual floor plans for their stuff, so hopefully the ultra-low ceilings are just copying a real design. Otherwise it'd be a shame, since Collective3d are pretty much the only PAs who make actually realistic suburban stuff, as opposed to design students wanking themselves off.

It's just a shame their rooms are so barren.

In my home country old farm houses do have very narrow and step stairs. Only room for your toes more or less and headbanging is a feature.

These staircases look actually really nice. I would feel privileged to have one if i had a house.
