Ren'Py - Abandoned - The DeLuca Family [Season 1] [HopesGaming]

There's a lot to love about this game and it's easily one of my favorite recent releases. That said, it isn't perfect, but the issues it does have are easily solved and I think this game has a lot of promise going forward.

The Positive:
- Stunning character models: Not only do the models look great, they're not the same copy-pasted ones we see in a lot of games (which isn't necessarily a dig at the ones that do re-use popular models, it's just a particular strength of this game).
- Good Writing: The characters speak and act in ways that seem very natural (relative to the context and the fact that this is an adult game) while displaying a TON of personality in their dialogue.
- The Premise: A refreshing change of pace from the standard "mom/sister family fuckfest" or "dude in a position of power takes advantage of literally every woman he meets", it's a bit of a slow burn (which I like) that gives you a relatively small cast of characters to interact with and grow to love.

The "Negative":
I don't have any major complaints, really, but there are a couple of things that I think could be polished or added to really seal this game's status as a standout.
- The Grind: Grinding for cash is a bit too harsh at the start (and significantly easier as you go). I think this could be smoothed out a bit to improve the flow of the early game. Additionally, a bit more transparency in how best to tackle the jobs might help get the train rolling a little smoother.
- Needs More Cordia: Cordia's a great character. She's laconic in a genre where verbosity is common. Her cool, calm demeanor isn't something you see very often in adult games where women are generally super shy, super horny, or super friendly and outgoing. The one problem is that we don't get to see it on display enough. This could be, and I suspect will be, a problem that is addressed as the game progresses, but I think it would be nice if we could, between major story events, visit her in her office to just talk, even if she wouldn't have much to say. Just my 2 cents on that.

Special Shoutout:
Luna is super cute, and her story gives me the feels real bad. Definitely one of my favourite adult game characters and I've played my fair share of them. Here's hoping this game goes the distance so I can live vicariously through the MC and give her a happily-ever-after.

Great game. Highly recommended if you are in the mood for something with a focus on story.

Our protagonist is a guy like any other normal guy. Lives a peaceful and uncomplicated life. That uncomplicated life turns into a rather complicated one when he receives a letter from a mafioso, who tells our unfortunate protagonist that due to his parents past, he is now under a mafia contract. He is to serve for a mafia family, but not just any mafia family, the DeLuca family. One of the most dangerous and infamous criminal organizations in the country.

Excellent work, really like the story line because an epic theme and how the games going, without h-scene still nice and interesting game, graphic was good. Hope you developer can make this game to the end, what i didnt like is the game is too short, because i want to play this game badly, you have create great game, and the girl i liked most is cordie because of her epic entrance and blizzard queen

It's a really nice game. The story is really good as well for my opinion, makes you speculate who the hell he really is. The art style is Excellent for Luna and Gracie I want more scenes for them. I hope that they can finish the game because now I really want to know what his relation is to the DeLuca Family.

I have enjoyed some games on here but not as much as I had on this one, I have no complaints at all about how the story is progressing, about the MC's persona or any of the characters. So far at least. I haven't been so moved to rating a game on here before but for this game i just really had to show how much I enjoyed it. I cannot wait for the future updates. 10/10.

The DeLuca Family is off to an excellent start! The artwork displayed in the preview images and throughout the game should be enough to draw you in, but you'll be pleased to find that the story and cast of characters are uniquely enjoyable as well. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out.

This is not the first game to strive for excellence in both the realm of art and story-telling, but I think this one has the potential to raise the bar. The future looks promising!

Interesting, unique, funny, action, great models, a bit of a tease, it's early days (0.3), but this game has the potential to be one of the best out there.

Everyone seems to go for Luna, but it's Gracie for me! Can't wait to see her plot develop.

This would go down as the best erotic visual novel I have ever played.

Rendering: Neat.
Cast: I love small cast, let me focus more on the characters.
Music: So far so good. I am pleasantly surprised that music is included for such an early version.
Some shortcut key or new layout for doing mission would be great. I detailed about it in my comments.

Amazing characters,some great writing, with good humor and witty stuff, slow build with some really cute moments. The mix of open world and history events (with you selecting when to start) is great. This could be a mainstream game without any lewd stuff and it will still be great

There are many games that are enjoying the Porn Industry Low Standard for Storytelling, but this is not one of them. The story is quite nice and compelling, and amazing enough the characters actually have a personality that is not one dimensional.

No real porn content yet, but gonna keep an eye on this game.

There are lots of games to play for a quick fap or satisfying your kinks, but only a few that can be enjoyable just for the plot. This is the latter. Its a bonus that the renders are fantastic and the gameplay mechanics fleshed out.

Nice ! Great models. Interesting Story - This mafia theme is simply awesome. What I've seen so far has convinced me. I really hope that this game will be further developed and not broken off in the middle. Very promising and it would be a pity if it would land on the parking track. I'll be on my way then. I have to buy Hopes a coffee.

Still early to give too many details about the game. Afterall, the game is only in its 2nd version. But it's a very good start I'd say

When going through other games using renpy it is the usual mc wakes up finds out life is different, talks with family and friends, seduces or wants to fuck someone, fucks someone, then corrupts them more. This one actually has story and depth to it that it more enjoyable. Plus you feel a bond with the characters and want to find out what happens next.

What kind of crazy person could create this craziest game! Recently I always think that there's no need of sex if the story is so beautiful. I can just befriend these girls and make a friendship harem! haha! That's the easiest way to have any girl I love to accompany me. No regret! No cheating! Even they'll have their family at last. The memory still warm my heart foever!

It would be interesting if the mc is really part of the family, but I'm not sure if that's how it's gonna be.

And I like that he doesn't really care about his father, he's curious but he's like ''fuck that guy, he abandoned us''.

I don't randomly slap on 5 stars and call it a day. This is without a doubt in my mind one of the most engaging stories to date in a VN so far. You come into the family reluctant, against it even. And the cunning Queen C throws you in the den of angels. You try to fight it, but it is pointless. As a man, I shamelessly admit that I would have been unable to resist falling in love with either Gracie or Luna. With my luck, I'd fall for both and die shortly after, with a smile on my face. The characters have a story, they feel alive. This, in my humble opinion, is one of the few VN's truly worth supporting or at least checking out.

this is a god damned masterpiece. I love and feel pretty connected to the story. very good characters, and lots of genuinely funny moments.

I'm absolutely loving the Luna romance, do wish we could talk more to the mother though.

looking forward to the updates when hopefully we can do more missions, kickass, and have loads more fun.

Excellent! Just finished a play through of the current version and can say I am eagerly awaiting the next update. Never has anything made me laugh out loud so much, and I enjoyed all of the writing. Great Work!
