Ren'Py - The DeLuca Family [Season 1] [HopesGaming]

Beautiful game. Perfect mix between game and VN -- minimal grinding but still the best aspects of sandbox play and VN progression. Intriguing plot line that is based in a gangster fantasy world; beautiful women.

Many VN's try way too hard to be relatable and the dialog is inane, leading one to download the walkthrough and skip to the sexy stuff as fast as possible. This one isn't that way at all. It full embraces a wild world of gangster violence that purposefully doesn't resemble real life. But the girls are still have plenty of relatable "girls next door" aspects to them while also being fantasy girls. I can't wait for the next installment. Would be dumping money into the Patreon if I didn't have a wife who religiously (literally) watches our spending accounts.

Normally I don't rate unfinished games. But this one is so good that I couldn't help myself. I love the setting, it's very original, the girls are really pretty and the renders are beautiful. Every characters has a different personality and I especially fell in love with Luna, I hope the game will continue to fucus on her a little bit more. I'm very interested where this game will go and will be on board to support it.

A great developer, a fantastic history and the best game of gender for me. Addictive for its easy handling, with a plot that really screams for suspense. Some characters very crisp and well defined. But the most interesting thing is that the best of the game is still to come. I think this game should be in the top 10 of any gender lover.

My rating: 8/10

The artstyle, renders, scenes and overall the game looks gorgeous.
Dialogs are well done, pacing is nice (it may be a bit slow for some people).
Story wise, personally, I liked it because:
a) it's different.
b) it's suspenseful.
Gameplay, again it's different from other games with *how* you make money, etc.
The game is far from being done, but also far from where it started.
There are some animations spread up here and there, and possibly there will be more in the future.
The UI could be worked on.. it doesn't appeal to my eyes, but it's not that hard to change/fix.

So I'd say definitely give this game a try.
I believe it wil get a lot better.

I'm not good with reviews, but i'll try It as i enjoyed a lot this game.
First thing i liked about that game is because is very unique, is pretty nice to see mafia theme in an adult game, and that It actually works very well, not same plot of most adult games where is about incest or a guy with insane dick that hang out with 10 girls and nothing but sex really happens. The plot and dialogues are very good, i never skipped a line here, also the characters are nice, even secondary ones, like the stepfather of the guy who got shoot at Cordia office and is her old friend, but ofc Luna is the best character, i like Cordia a lot too, her final scene at 0.3 make want to play more.
I like the game models too, imo that 3d work is in a good spot right now as the girls looks good.
Other good thing is the dating sim/sandbox aspect, is nice to be able to hang around house. A town map in future updates would be nice too.
For sure this game is in my top 5, and only reason is not higher at that rank is because still need some more content, but also is very good for a 0.3, i really suggest It, and looking forward for new updates

The Deluca family may have one of the best storylines on the site, if it was a show i'd watch it. I'm actually more invested in that than anything else. Looks like it'll end up being quite a long game if it ever gets completed though. The renders are good as well, a lot of care has gone into the game.

Love the new take on the genre, and while this version currently has hardly any lewd content it was actually not missed at all.

Outside of a few odd mouths in a render(They are very high quality otherwise), minor typos and moments where the game wasn't sure whether to take itself seriously or not - it was a great enjoyment from start to 'finish'.

Art is pretty snazzy at times, at least on adult VN standards. But sometimes the stock models chosen are absolutely ridiculous (uncle serpent or whatever, anyone?). Here's an object lesson in what I always say in my reviews about 3D renders in novels. The stock models aren't amazing, but what elevates the art to much higher level than the average is the generally compenent, and sometimes excellent lighting.

Lighting is well over 80% of how good your 3D render will look and in 99% of adult VN's, it is either garbage or bad.

Anyway, that's by far the best part of the VN. The story is ... uhh... well, don't expect Shakespeare? Basically it takes the Mafia tropes and then smashes them in to modern fantasy and takes them to new heights. It's basically ridiculous, but entertaining enough.

The game is also 90% plot, 10% porn, and what is there is actually mostly just some nude shots at times. It's a slow burn, but the pacing is pretty good.

There's some actual game mechanics in the doing contracts thing, but it's pretty basic. That's not a problem, because in adult VN you're not trying to play Dark Souls to get to your booty shot. That's just rage-inducing, so easier game mechanics work well.

That said, I hope the game will get a bit more explicit now. The story is a bit too riduclous to carry the who thing through without some hot sex coming at the protagonist's way soon.

This is definitely up there for me with some of the best, I especially like how unique it is. Some renders are far and away some of the most well made I've seen. Each of the characters has personality though admittedly, some devolve at points to simple boring stereotypes. These are few however and overall don't take away much from the game, definitely a good one for sure.

I honestly think that this is one of the best erotic games I've ever played. The story is very interesting and I actually want to know how it continues. The characters all have their own personality which developes/changes through out the game, which is great.

I have to say, even though I only got about 2 hours of play time before I reached the end of current content I see this really being a good game given some time. The only reason its getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because I was hoping it was going to be a bit longer at this point.

I really like the direction he is going with character progression being drawn out and adding of more story and and an actual building of relationships. I never really enjoyed the games that after a week or a few days its all "I love you we have been through so much together lets fuck endlessly". The dream images being the only sexual content so far really makes me happy as it is leading to more natural progression of relationships.

The renders are great though I would like to see a bit better animating. The characters look gorgeous and the backdrops are well done.

The story has some kinks but overall is fantastic, I'm confused as fuck when it comes to main story just like MC and I'm 100% ok with that just keeps me wanting the updates to come along so we can start piecing things together.

Some of the Menus seem a bit clunky and definitely have some improvement that I'm sure will come with time.

This is the first creator I have subscribed to on patreon and I really hope he gets the support this game deserves so we can get quality timely updates, always makes me sad when games like this take months for updates.

Not really sure I can adequately describe how great this game is. It's got great story telling and intrigue. Even when MC is told a "truth" part of you is still suspicious that the truth may not be more than a lie. The characters are well developed and each interesting in their own way. If you are uncertain about this game, don't be. Download and fire it up.

BEST GAME SO FAR!!! I'm looking more for another update 'w'

The Mafia-based story with a lot of MC background history with romance story of the family members is so great. The free roam system and event feature it helps alot for player. Oh, and i very love the artwork everytime player finished a family's member event. Thanks for putting on so much work on creating this game. Keep up the good work.

Playing as an Mafia member gave me a sense of honor and duty..and all of that is just the appetizer..wait till you read the story..

Let me start by saying that alot of effor has been put into this game, and even in its current stage has become a favorite! The script and story of the game are simply incredibly good! Romance progresses organically and not abruptly. Dialogues are well thought and well written (some rare spelling mistakes, but I am guessing these will be refined and the script proof-read in the final version).

On the one hand the sexual content at this point is minimal (that is not necessarily bad, as it fits the story, but if you are looking for something heavy in sex, this is not it), however the scenes you get are fitting for the current story progression.

Even at its current stage of development, this is story-rich and captivating. Keep up the good work and keep us updated

Like the art. Not perfect, but very appealing.
LOVE the writing. Narrative voice is great, plotting is good, and characterization is almost too strong for a porn game in that it makes me care more about the characters than the prospect of seeing boobs. The violence isn't offputting, the kooky character isn't annoying, and the humor lands. Never seen that before.

Currently light on porn content, but as I said above I didn't miss it.

Only real gripe I have is a bit of story-gameplay disconnect; I got to a point in the story where the MC gets his ass beat but my stats were those of a seasoned grunt who should have been more than capable of pulling the gun I had him equipped with instead of whining on the floor.

TLDR: Moar plz.

i made a review on v0.3:
there are so many games out there - some have awesome stories, others have awesome gameplays, another group has awesome renderings and also some got awesome sounds in it - and to be really honest: TDF is the first game since long time who perfectly matches all of them. Its also kind of different from all other games. Of course this all can be messed up in future updates, but for now i really cant find ANY negative points about it, even if i always try to be objective and want to give constructive critics.
As much as i searched something to feed back to improve -> i could not find anything!

One of the best game.
The story and the characters are excellent, the lights are really good poses are fine albeit a little stiff (but at least they aren't always the basic poses you see in all the games) .
The downsides are that there is not enough sex scenes and that the story is focused on one of the girl (but there is character progression for everyone).

Really great game, hope theire will be more scenes (even if it on dead end path)

Play this game for it's story, it's quirkiness, sexiness and romantic dialogues and lovely intimate scenes.
If you are here for incest or hardcore porn, you would be disappointed, the story and relationship between the girls and MC builds up nice and slow, yet not boring at all, even with no sex scene until the 3b update, I have no complaints and didn't feel bored anytime.

Let me start over. Youre under contract with some sort of criminals/mob/mafia, a mix of italian and japanese cultures and there are four hotties in a house to pursue.
The game is some sort of free roaming thing with quests. It kinda works because of a quest log that says exactly what you have to do next to progress the story, but then again, if youre gonna spill it out, why not make a VN out of it straigh away?
The story itself develops with each character as you fulfill their quests. It is well made, theres a focus on the story element with sex on the side. It´s going slow and i like it.
Overall its still a bit short, like the 0.03 inplies, but worth a try no doubt.
