No in-detail-review for now, but as already stated from others this game has a very unique and enjoyable approach.

Some rough edges here and there, but you should give it a try - even if it's just to see an interesting piece of art.

I like the game but it's a bit difficult to find clues because almost all characters can't be talked to much so it's hard to get information at least there is a relationship indicator feature in each character so I know who to talk to

One of the best games on a platform, full sandbox, lot of content decent story with main story being completly skipable, wardrobe system and much more only downside i know of is that with every new update saves break completly and new content bugs out witch is anoying but understandable.

edit: with new update a fck ton of stuff is broken (mainly clothing system is completly scufed even in events) so i no longer feel like it should be a 5 stars

    Brilliant! 9/10

Needs more work and polish, but despite this, The Fixer is a great DoL-like game with strong bones, a promising outfit system and some really well designed mechanics.

    + Expansive outfit system
    + Starting perks exhib/bimbo/athlete etc
    + Cute character design
    + Very designed UI
    + H-Stats
+ Jobs (School, waitress, cleaning, photography, dancing etc)
    + Interesting story
+ Lots of items, piercings, accessories and consumables
    + Really strong foundation
    + Customisation, including outfit customisation

    - Shitty performance/memory issue
    - Poor balancing for the early game (a wank = $40, but 3x waitressing shifts = $30)
    - Word vomit writing at time/info dumps
    - School classes are boring and uninspired
    - Ambient dialogue is boring and repetitive

This game is incomplete. It is a bit light on content, but there is MORE than enough for a very positive review. - played around 15 hours on exhibitionistic and plan to try out some of the lifepaths/starter perks. Can't wait to see how this progresses. And from what I've seen so far, highly recommended esp after a few updates.

This is the ultimate female character sexual sandbox!
The game has really massive never seen before customization for a Renpy game, and it works perfectly! Additionally, the game art style is truly gorgeous and works well.
The game is easy to take into hands, has really many features to discover, a good universe, good side characters, amazing sex scenes, amazing effects (pain, drunkness, hornyness, depression..) and it has a main story that is alright to play.
I guess it satisfies grape and pregnancy fetishes, excellent point!
And cherry on the cake, cheats let us rule out any inconvenience.
I can't even think of any negatice. It's simply perfect.

Wow, I really enjoyed this game for a day or two.

Sadly, there's not much more content as for about 10 hours or something.
But those hours kept me quite entertained.
There is potential for more, as there are quite a few loose ends of planned quests and dialogue.
Maybe it may even be those open and unfinished quests that put a bad light on this game?
    I dunno.
Sometimes it feels a bit "lacking in content", although you already have a decent amount of things to explore.

Although, I feel like after about five years of development, there should a bit more already.
I'm missing some more envoirement, that actually doesn't really serve any purpose, but is just there for immersion.

Anyways, well written, highly enjoyable and quite kinky.

One last thing though; you took a star off, simply because a lot of important things a behind rng draws.
Either just a odd dice throws, or complicated , sleightly weird unlocking mechanisms.

There's a lot of freedom to explore the world as Sammy, create your own story, and unleash your wild side, or simply experiment with the game's "story". Despite having some limitations regarding Samantha's customization (for me, the lack an option for curly hair is a notable detail, but it seems the developer is working on more customization options) and some parts of the game still in development (mainly the use of unfinished backgrounds that take you out of the immersion and could ruin the experience), it's very entertaining, with all the stuff that you can do and many random events that can occur this world has a lot to offer. Also (for me personally), the easy access to the cheat menu, which give you access to virtually the entire game from the start, makes it perfect for casual players who aren't too interested in the story an just want to see her character get fucked.

A plus for me is that the creator [Sam_Tail] posts updates on the game's Discord and is constantly talking with the community.

Okay, okay, a review needs more than that.

Let's go down the feature list.
    • Art: Eh, it's a doll/sprite style. Some like it, some don't. The previews are a good example all around, but I will say that the sprites are used to good effect in populating the scene backgrounds with the known characters that are present.

    • Sandbox gameplay: Could be better. It was frustrating at first that it's impossible to make weekly rent by doing regular jobs, but I quickly realized that this is an intentional design decision. It's part of the dystopia. You can't keep your head above water by just playing by "the rules". Your only real options in this crap-hole of a city are to work for the shady corporation, or get into sex work. Yay for mechanical/narrative harmony!
      • But seriously, the sandbox is still a bit janky, just trying to properly interact with it sometimes.
      • Stats and their impact are poorly explained, and there's stat-checks with no indication of how they could have been passed, or even if they were possible at all. Like "Is a speech check confidence or allure?" or "wtf is willpower?" or "I seem to have picked up a permanent debuff that makes the game nearly unplayable" (we'll get back to this)
      • Tutorial gives basically nothing about how to play the game. It's almost entirely dedicated to the clothing and character customization interface (and doesn't even explain that properly).
      • Reasonable amount of random side-activities to explore, especially once you have a decent amount of cash.
    • Interface: It... could use some polishing. The menus feel awkward, the journal gives little of use beyond a questlog, the "back" button to return to the game is in a different spot for each menu... it just feels rough to use, even once you get used to it.

    • Writing:The writing... varies a fair bit, though none of it is bad.
      • General open-world writing is mostly held back by how little engagement there is in it. Talking to people gets you a randomly-selected basic interaction with no effect in nearly every situation. It does very little to flesh out the world, or the characters, and none of it goes towards building a connection with anyone.
      • Quest and story-based writing is where the game shines. It ranges from simply "good" to... well... "not only is the character broken, but I - the player - am broken as well." Let's just say I didn't put that review header up there for nothing.
All told, this is a game that could really use some cleaning up, but has surprising depth in many places, and what feels like a solid vision for the game overall. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on it now.

I really want to give this game a better score. Hopefully I will get to some day.

I played 2 years ago and again recently, the game has added a couple side quests and a decent amount of side character growth. The main story has been adjusted, I'm not sure why, because it feels pretty much the same overall experience/plot other then maybe the MC being more accepting of the situation.
Honestly the MC is boarder line amnesiac. which is odd because they are not just a silent protagonist, the dev has even said the game is about Sammy's story, not the player. But the amount of choices you do get to make means that Sammy's story can feel very dissonant if you play 'off script.'

The game combines a rather grim world while also having some of the goofiest sexual activities. It's full of contradictions in tone between different characters stories. And the character customization options, that are built into the plot, make the sandbox/life-sim elements hilarious.

I wish Sam_Tail the best of luck with this project, but in it's current state I can't recommend unless you have way too much free time.

    P.S.
I'll never understand why people use Ren'Py for games that are not pure VNs.

very nice game, very unique, and so much great features. I am experiencing many or few unique gameplay and I love it (especially it's a sandbox openworld game), so many side story we can do and the content of it is just too good.

This is a great example of how to make a sandbox Ren'Py game.
    • Art utilizes Koikatsu models tastefully, environments and scenes are all believable and change with the seasons.
    • Writing is really excellent; interactions between your character and others change depending on traits, level of intoxication, etc.
    • Atmosphere and plot are great. The whole "plague/epidemic" card is a bit overplayed nowadays, but given the timeline of its initial release and the way in which the game utilizes the theme in its worldbuilding, I can forgive it.
    • Gameplay is what pleasantly surprised me the most. Mechanics such as hunger, lust, energy, menstrual cycle, etc. all play out and affect your character in different ways. If your character is sad and you have relevant items in your inventory, your character will sometimes crack open a beer at the bus stop or pop a pill after class on their own accord.
I can't believe this one flew under my radar for so long. Really impressed with what's here so far, and looking forward to future updates!

    The good:
    • Amazing art
    • Lots of different scenes
    • Maybe the most versatile customization options for a Ren'Py game
    • A decent amount of fetishes

    The bad:
    • Very little focus on story so-far
    • A bit too sandboxy at times

I still give it a 5 star because it's one of my personal favourites.

I love this game. I was playing like 1.5 year's, and developing are huge. This guy, who create this game is the best. Character creation, dress-up, and a lot of different scene's in different situations. Ohhh boi, i love it

    TheItch

Love the customization. The writing is inconsistent. Most of the plot-lines are unfinished at the time of writing.
Some unique/interesting character interactions and writing though (found the belligerent friends behind the school at the evenings to be of particular interest).
The corruption content is a bit too easy and thin. Exhibitionism content is kind-of weak as well.
    The game has potential though.

    It's complicated...

That's really about my impression and feeling of the game, but I suspect the same could describe the game itself. First a little about my own tastes and biases that might affect my perceptions and enjoyment of the game.

It is a 'sandbox' game (except it isn't really, it is merely a free-roam game, as there's no real sense of being able to create your own game within a game that a true sandbox has), and while I know many dislike those, I actually prefer sandbox games. In theory then I am probably liking this game a little more on that aspect than average, and certainly much more favourably than those who dislike sandbox or open-world/free-roam games.

The CGI is all generated primarily with Koikatsu (the game from Illusion) which has a simple anime style, is very easy to use for developers, already gives them huge amounts of animations., etc. Here my personal taste is to slightly dislike Koikatsu based images, partly because I already played Koikatsu to death (and it is a far more polished game than this one), partly because anime imagery is cute but lacks the visceral photorealistic qualities I prefer for porn of any kind, and mostly because it is just so massively overused that we've seen it all, endlessly, removing all visual novelty before the creator has even started. The story makes no real use of the 'cutesy' aspect, at all, set in a gritty, visceral world, so minus marks here. It's the wrong art-style for the story being depicted.

Finally, I really like novelty and innovation. I tend to prefer games that have big ideas and ideals, where the dev is really trying to push boundaries. I can tolerate games that are similar to other games only if they truly exemplify the very best quality of the type. It is okay for a game to be essentially similar to other familiar ones if it is a 'best of class', doing it exceptionally well, like a true homage to the already existing art. Anything else is just "me too" copying without any originality, which I dislike. The tropes in this game are all things I have seen before in other games, and usually better realized than in this one.

So, with my biases explained, this game really wasn't ever likely to score above 3 stars unless the writing, gameplay, and interface were all noticably above average or even exemplory. None of them are.

Let's talk about the gameplay. The interface is okay. It is pretty clear and well laid out. Travelling between one specific place and another is one of those annoying experiences where you first have to click to go to the general area, then click from there to a sub-area, and in too many cases (e.g. the lake/beach and the Truck Stop) you have to sequentially click through a whole path of different locations you don't need just to get to the one you do. It is clunky, click-wasting, and unenjoyable. A chore, not 'gameplay'.

There's very little sense of direction. I don't just mean in the sense that many free-roam games leave it to the player to decide what to do or how best to spend their time. It is that, but more-so. No, I mean that right now there's very little choice or objective to any of it. After two playthoughs (the second being a fresh-start to see if I'd just made bad choices on the first) and many hours spent, the game feels like a limp and listless experience without any sense of reward, and there's so little kind of help or pointers within the game that I still can't tell if it's me missing something or if the game just isn't very good - which of course means that, for sure, the game isn't very good.

Can the writing and storyline make up for it? No. I mean, the basic concept, The Fixer or troubleshooter who can get things done in any way they choose sounds pretty good, but it just doesn't deliver. There's very limited real sense of agency, and in reality there are a very limited number of viable options at any point. There's no real sense of a strategy or tactical element of your own devising. And the writing is dull, uninspired, and lacking in any real sense of life. You never feel even for an instant that any character is a real person, or loosely based on a real person with real ideals and goals and expectations. Instead, each character is entirely a very shallow stereotype without any warmth or charm, existing purely for a story-function and so having no sense of character or reality. When 'The Fixer' is all about an agent who can be anyone they need to be, the story needs to have a sense of real characters, and that the author actually has an idea what a personality or persona is, and this just doesn't.

There's a couple of good basic concepts to the fundamental world and plot, but they are so poorly realized, and so buried in the senseless and mundane, and the deeply unrewarding, that they may as well not exist at all, and for many players they probably won't.

This all sounds pretty clear and straightforward a tear-down, so you may be wondering what on earth was 'complicated' as stated in my opening line. Well, as I say, I like open-world and sandbox games. The idea of 'The Fixer' as a character concept was good (even if not all that original). I wanted this to be a good game so I could play it. That's the complicated bit. I feel bad for rating this a 2-star game - but it absolutely doesn't merit a higher score in the current form.

Great stuff, if this is completed, it will be goty contender for me. I know it seems simple now and alot of it has been done before... but it's got real charm and a real feeling of risk at times (if you don't save scum). I really enjoyed it untill content ran dry as it will do with ongoing games. Still, fun romp through a new life.Gave it 5/5 just cause I want it to finish and prosper.

One of my favorite games on this site. The characters are gorgeous and I love the sandbox nature of the game with mix of stats and learned traits impacting player agency. I'd be happy if the game leaned more on simulation with the player guiding the MC towards traits to change their options.

Still in development, so the game continues to evolve, but definitely on my short watch list.

Very good game with a variety of different options, very enjoyable to follow the character's path.
Quite imaginative content without much CG but attractive.
It would be more friendly if there was more information about the possibilities and paths, it doesn't take away any positive points as it is just an opinion.
Overall, as I mentioned, it's quite good and I recommend it to anyone who likes this type of game.

Very good sandbox game, with character customization and interesting setting.
While it's still far from complete, what is here is already quite substantial and allows for a lot of player freedom and replayability, even if the player isn't in full control of the character's choices at all times as the protagonist Sammy (name is customizable) has a mind of her own, these choices can be influenced to a degree by the player managing Sammy's different stats.
Overall, what's already here is a very entertaining game with a promising future.

Great game, with every new update it keeps getting better. Many clothing items, interesting quests and very good hentai scenes. Would recommend to all interested in hentai games. It may not be that hard core as other titles but it still has it's moments.
