Probably the same reason DoL devs avoiding Steam although agressively claiming there is no sus content, up to the point of banning people on Discord for pointing it out. At least you honest with yourself, still sad tho. Steam is the only platform available to me.

DoL is sus. I could remove the school with not too much issue, but the copyright problem will always remain.
Fixed in new version

Probably because the characters are traced from koikatsu characters. Could possibly argue that it's transformative enough to be protected under fair use but Steam probably wouldn't risk the liability anyway.
There is an implication that anyone who goes to school is under the age of consent.
It isn't a huge issue, because you could just rename it college or training centre or some such, as attendance is strictly optional, and there aren't many schools where that happens.

Have to do away with uniforms too. That or take the Kagura games route and require a patch file to access any sex or nudity content.

You can sort of. There isn't a lot of lesbian content in the game. Like one lesbian character you can hook up with.
Apparently Sammy and Simon can't exist in the same space now and the game sends you back to the title screen whenever he's in his office or the pub.
