Ren'Py - The Golden Boy [v0.7] [Serious Punch]

The Golden Boy is a bad game, not a terrible one but not really worth it when there are so many better games out there. The story is non-sensical and told in a very poor manner. Decisions are mostly limited to what path (love/lust) you take with each girl, the rest of the choices don't seem to matter at all. And there is no gameplay outside of that.

Render quality and character models are mediocre, and animations are present but rather poor in execution, being very basic. There is no sound as such either. At least I found no bugs, which is nice.

But, all in all, this one is a game I don't consider worth the time.

Yet another sandbox game that IN NO WAY warrants being one..... This is a completely linear game even with a sandbox, all the sandbox does is to waste a little of your time and break the flow of the game. Other than that everything about this game screams meh, the renders are meh, the writing is meh, and the girls are meh. This game is neither good nor bad, but the useless sandbox pushes it to more negative then positive for me. would have been 3 stars had to minus 1 for the sandbox.

Okay, I ended up downloading the game without many expectations that it would be good, but I was surprised. The game is really good, one of the best 3D games I've ever played. The graphics are so beautiful that I barely paid attention to the story. I had to replay it twice because the graphics were impeccable. I enjoyed all the female characters in the game, especially Laura and Kate; they're all great. I did find the MC's relationships with some characters a bit forced, but of course, it's an 18+ game, and the story isn't that important. The game's animation is relatively good, but one thing I didn't like was the MC; he's a beta and a wimp. He's shy and spineless.

That's all I had to say. The game is really good, and I'll eagerly await the next update. Unfortunately, I don't have money at the moment to support it on Patreon, but I'll wait patiently. Take care.

Updates with barely any content.

Tags are misleading: most are missing, and it doesn't include shota. I mean, the renders are bad and sometimes that can result in characters not depicting the age that they're meant to be, but there's no way that character is an adult, let alone in his 20s.

Besides the lackluster updates, while barely having any content, the dev started remaking it, so now supporters are just paying for the dev to rebuild a rushed straight-to-patreon game.

honestly this game has alot of potential, the charcters are good in the sense that they feel uniqe and diffrent from each other (my favorite is the mature one)
the story is simple but good (after all not every game must have life-changing lesson in it and on the other hand it is intersting to the point i will feel immarsed in it)

Animation is a stellar combination of giant boobs and big assess.
Story: It's a simple story to help get characters moving
Scripting: Generally good and effective writing.
Really enjoyed playing through this, lots of fun to be had I look forward to future development with characters. That said I wish I knew the difference between Lust and Love content (does it lock out/change paths or is it simply descriptive. Also wish I didn't have to choose between storylines to see everything. I like the characters but I much more of a player where I want to be able to access everything in one playthrough rather then replaying something constantly to get all the content. Maybe that can be fixed in a patch one day.

The renders are amazing! The pacing of the story is fantastic. I LOVE the MC's cock, it's not shown off too much, but when it is shown it always has impact. It's not filled with sex or big-dick porn tropes where the scene always ends in the MC plowing the woman they meet. I don't know if this review is being read by the author, but if it is, well done! I have no idea where these glowing reviews are coming from. This game is a COMPLETELY LINEAR SANDBOX, which means ITS NOT A SANDBOX. It's a linear story where your choices are "Be a rapey molester type" or "Get no sexual content." All as a disgusting shota insert and every woman has the same body. So, no varying visuals or love interests, choices really don't matter(outside of maybe two but we'll get there), and the crappy linear sandbox that doesn't need to exist. With an almost default UI. Man. The plot better save this. It doesn't, spoiler alert. It's typical porn trope contrivance and dialogue that feels like it was written by a robot that barely speaks English, because it probably was. And do not tell me "I would like to hear an appreciation." or "More later"(as a wipe to a later point in the day) is good English. Also when you meet Natalie it asks you if she's your stepmom? My god, these are simple things. So it becomes negligence or ineptitude. Either way, not a quality I want from a "game" developer.

You play as MC, a three foot tall gremlin boy with a two foot penis. "But there's a love path, he's not a gremlin." FALSE. every interaction resolves and moves forward as if you pick the "lust" aka molestation asshole path. We'll get back to that. It starts out with MC meeting Kate late at night, she can't sleep due to marital issues. MC's dad leaves too much and she's lonely. If you choose the Love options, MC mostly acts like a regular human and tries to be nice about things. (Outside of him coming home to jerk off imagining Kate, AND instead of showing you, the reader Kate, you get to look at MC jerk off) So, for a few days, MC and Kate do the tropey late night talks, "Should I peek on her?" bathroom visits, and whatnot. Unless you do the Lust path, then you grope her, ogle her, assault her, and any number of other things. Then Kate comes up to MC while he's sleeping to jerk him off? I know mostly it's because every shitty incest tale on this site has some dumb event where the mother type has to see MC's penis. But no matter how you look at it, it makes no sense. Anyway, no matter what that scene happens, and she gets cum in her mouth and acts like she tasted it before? But you only sleep assault her mouth in the goblin path? So other instance of poor design/pathing from the dev. THEN. The dumbest thing ever happens. Kate and MC's dad fight and she wants a divorce. So she kick MC out too and sends him to her friends house, and the rest of the game is about Eva and her friend Laura now? I could UNDERSTAND if that was part of the goblin path, but it happens no matter what. Why?

And from then on NOTHING interesting happens. You meet Melany with her lazy ass eye. Natalie, nothing of note, she was stretching and said hi. Elise is the "Everyone thinks all my LIs are the same so I'll add her with small boobs to show them." insert. Eva and Laura are actually the same as Kate. Frustrated "old" housewives that want sex. and the only way to play this is picking Lust every time. Otherwise you get three scenes, and two bits of nudity. Two of the scenes are in both paths, so you don't even get a unique experience. And I don't care about the amount or frequency of smut in an AVN, more that it's balanced. And since the choices aren't "Have sex" or "I don't like this character" instead of "Be a decent human" or "Sexually assault them/Be subhuman." It just feels, no, it IS that the developer has one intended route for you to play with 3 side characters the fade into oblivion. Lucky for you though, some of their scenes are in the pre-rework version, as most of this game is reused from the last version. Which is actively more scummy in terms of the MC. You have to "define your relationship" a bunch and rename every character, it's annoying. And whatever title you give the mother and grandmother, MC calls them that. NO ONE calls someone "stepmom." It's either their name or mom. You watch too much porn if you think otherwise.

If you're taking notes, you have: Robotic translation, mostly default UI, having to name everyone, all the models have the same bodytype, a bad story, and I'm not having fun. The only thing I didn't really talk about is the dialogue. It's your typical "MC, you're 20 but act like a 13 year old virgin, would you like to learn about sex?" garbage. Only, that was more coherent and fluid English than this throwaway incest trash. It's also like 30 minutes long, so it's short too. If you like DAZ models with boob and butt sliders to max, being a sex offender, and robotic translated dialogue, you will love this. Otherwise, move along.

This game has some promise. If you enjoy milfs and balooned proportions the visuals will hit on all the notes. I think there needs to be some more attention to detail with this game in regards to the writing. There are typos, gramatical errors, and parts of the dialog were not translated.

As of the last update this game has started to get a little better, but the writing really detracts from an otherwise good experience.

I really like this game, main character is small, but him can conquer the women were taller and older than him. I hope the game will be updated soon, and will be able to play more games like it. Thank you game publisher, please update more for the game.

Just completed v0.3.6. This was a wonderfully entertaining VN that centers around our MC as his family life deteriorates and he finds himself sent to his mother's friends for the summer. I enjoyed the premise and game interactions. Only drawback for me was that I got through it in about 2 hours and I was disappointed when I had to stop. LOL. It's a fun VN and worth a look.

Designs 9.8/10 - superb/excellent
Visuals 8.5/10 - good, nothing too remarkable but overall quite good. Haven't yet seen much of stuff like cum/vagina/tongues to know if those are kinda subpar.
Content/Characters 7.5/10 - not the best or anything but not bad and still hot
Pacing 7/10 - pretty good pacing, not too slow. Initially I was worried this was gonna be a blue ball game especially when I looked at the screencaps and didn't even see any nudity (there is in the actual game) and while there isn't any sex yet and there's a good bit of the story already fleshed out, it at least has some pretty good content and isn't overly filler-y. I am a bit concerned when sex scenes are finally explored that they might be unsatisfyingly short, uninspired/kinda like a crappy porn or "going thru the motions" and just not that good/erotic but don't know yet.

Overall, I think this is a game that shows how good it can be when everything is done well to pretty damn good and nothing is overtly bad.

Pros and Cons

Pros: Amazing renders the characters really seem life like and you can see their expressions very well. I also noticed that the layout isn't overly complicated but just enough to keep the backgrounds fresh.
Milf characters looking unique and not copy pasta.

The plot is nothing special, but the renders are really, really good.
Anyway I'm really curious to see the future development of this VN, I really hope it won't be abandoned.

I think there are a couple pros and cons to the game, but so far it is off to a solid start

Pros: renderings are incredible and the dialogue is not as bad as you would expect for a visual novel. Some of it is a little cliche, but I don't think thats too much of a negative.

Cons: The eyes on the main female character are way too bright, need to be toned down a little otherwise she just looks unreal

Game is looking very good, nice plot too. Really liked the rework. Hope it keeps going and maintain this quality. Also very nice renders and models.

Some people still complaining about nonsense things, but i did realy enjoy playing the game.

A very interesting and promising game, its beginning can be a little slow, but I feel that we will have a good story development. The game mechanics are very simple and easy to understand and the models are excellent! (mainly the mother's) overall it's a very promising game for fans of good incest.

We have a mix between LN and freeroam but freeroam is useless, it's just clicing on the one element that is clicable. No exploration at all so why bother?

A game with somehow high-quality graphics but lacks in nearly all the other aspects. It makes me think that maybe the developer hired a 3D/CG artist and after receiving the models and the scenes, he (or they) wrote a floating story over the images.

It is like 90s doujinshi-rewrites. People who does not know any Japanese used to "translate" doujinshis with their own custom stories.

Characters in this game lack depth. Seriously, there is not story here except for the MC walking around and all the women around are aroused and falling for him for no reason. There is no character progress.

This game is hardly a visual novel, because it is not a "novel". The nearly non-existent story has no choices and has no purpose. I mean, the player (me) does not feel obligated to ready anything at all.

Rape thing, even imaginary, is not my taste and I am against it, HOWEVER, this does not affect my review score.

I felt like downloaded a .zip file full of images and staring them.
