Version Reviewed: B+G v1.00
Note: I did the girl path.
This game feels like outsider art. A pornogame made in RenPy with Honey Select models by someone who had never played one of these kinds of game before but heard a brief description somewhere.
The story is very simple and yet somewhat hard to follow at the same time. The protagonist who's name you can not change is a rich guy who picks up a random homeless person and lets them live with them for no stated reason. Despite what you would expect he does not sexually abuse the person except for jacking off over their fully clothed body at night sometimes. After a very very long time they start to develop feelings for one another. Some side characters like his horny sister and horny cousin are also in here and provide some much needed H content while waiting for the relationship to develop over the course of many in-game months.
Gameplay: Boiled down to the bare essentials for a sandbox game. It has three time periods, but no locations. In each time period you have 3 or 4 options: Spend time with your homeless person, work, eat with the homeless person. Spending time increases an affection meter that will top out at I think 5. Eating with them is necessary to prevent the affection meter from decaying. Working starts the most trivial minigame ever where you can earn a single coin. The coins are only used to unlock event replays, for varying amounts of coin. Some are cheap, needing only 3 or 5 coins, but some others are 20, 30, or even 100 coins. After doing the coin minigame 3 times in a week you open up the ability to slack off during a time period. The slack off time period had a couple of options, one for walking around that unfortunately was completely broken for me (all images missing), the other is for your sister(?) or someone who comes over and when you do that a few times you unlock fucking them. Events trigger at some specific time (often after the last timeslot of the week) and will advance the counter on the top right by 1 and reset the affection meter so you have to build it back up again to trigger the next event. I don't know how many events there are but I made it to 65 before giving up, so there is some content.
The problem is a great many of those events are so trivial you would miss them except that they are not being fast forwarded with the ctrl key (and you will be leaning on the ctrl key for most of this game). Some events are literally just "Hello. I'm content, you? Same." Counter advances.
I would be remiss for not mentioning the dialog. Much of the time it reads like it was written by Nathan Pyle for his little blue alien cartoons.
"How is sunset"
"Calming"
"Reassurance"
"Enjoyment"
I'm serious. The dialog literally reads like it was written by a space alien attempting to impersonate human writing. It's kind of amazing but also sometimes hard to follow. There are also plenty of misspellings and grammatical errors.
There is a decent amount of sex content if you're willing to work through the grind. A lot of the more extreme stuff you see in the screenshots are dream sequences. It's pretty vanilla for the most part, at least at level 65.
Conclusion: How to rate this one. It has enough content and is off the wall enough to be interesting, but I can't overlook the rough edges like the amount of grind and the dialog. Also, I'm not sure if it is intentional, but most of the sex scenes are anal but nobody mentions it. When you see dick going in it's always the butt. Maybe because the scenes are rigged only once for the boy vs. girl path? I'm giving this a tentative 3 just for the amount of work that seems to have gone into it and for having a decent amount of content.
The other strange thing about this game is the amount of effort put into things that almost no game ever does and are of dubious value. For example, for the scene where the MC jacks off on the sleeping homeless person the dev has what must be 20 different outfits the homeless person might be wearing. It's crazy how many variations there are on that scene. The eating and talking scenes also have a similar number of outfit variations. This game is a rather large download simply because the same scenes get rendered dozens of times for outfit variations. Another one is that the animated scenes have not one, not two, not even three, but sometimes up to 10 camera angles, none of which are especially well chosen.
