VN - Ren'Py - Completed - The Heroes of Eroticism [Ep.9] [Kenningsly]

Good stuff
1) Powers. Yeah, I'm a sucker for that kinda stuff.
2) Distinct character personalities & interesting story.

Bad stuff
1) Large character portraits. Having it constantly change in my peripheral vision while reading irritated my eyes. It's the first time I've had to block part of my screen during one of these types of games & I've played a lot.
2) There ain't any 10/10 eye candy in this game. Women are more average looking compared to other games on this site. Guess that's charming in a way. And the protag... got used to ignoring his face.

The portrait issue is a deal breaker for me. I'll gladly adjust my review if an option to disable it is added.

The rating system on this site is broken. Real shit games are getting 5 stars and good ones like this are getting 2 stars.

I really like the story so far, so much that I would say it is "excellent"
animations are few, but the few that there is are excellent. Renders are good.

The things that I would say that I would change is to not separate the episodes. Also seeing the MC's dick hanging out on the side of some conversations is weird and distracting. Should allow us to name the MC ourselves.

Episode 2, Ipatched

An excellent start. I normally wouldn't review this early but the previous review was so wide of the mark, that I had to respond. Yes, you can load saves from within the game. There is a small three horizontal line icon in the lower right corner that opens a function menu. The English is perfectly understandable with only a couple of minor errors.

The Good:
Realistic models who look like the attractive "girl next door"
An underlying plot that is worth exploring regardless of the adult content
Nice slow burn romance developing with the two sisters (neither of whom are bitches or total innocents)
MC seems to care about the LI's who have backstories and personalities
MC is not a jerk, and appears to be developing as a character
LI's have distinct personalities

YMMV:
Slow burn--as of episode 2 we've had one hand job, some masturbation, nudity , and kissing. Things are escalating quickly though.
Some LI's in the harem will be aggressively bisexual
MC looks young and over-endowed (not horse-cocked but certainly large)

The Bad:
Not much. The use of sprites seems a little wonky when we see two pictures of the same character (one of which may be dressed differently or nude) in the same frame, but this is a minor annoyance.

Currently choices seem to mostly lead to differences in flavor or different scenes (which girl do you kiss/strip in spin the bottle) but flags are being set that may lead to greater consequences down the road. Music is well integrated into the action.

GOOD:
Models are pretty nice.

BAD:
Renpy default shortcuts have been disabled rather than supplemented adding more clicks and navigation, making the game needlessly harder to play.
You have to close and restart the game to reload a save.
English is not too great.
