tldr: soulless. i do not recommend this.
OVERALL QUALITY:
there is no art here. very little care has been given to arranging scenes: the cinematography is uninspired, the poses feel fake and the limited facial expressions firmly reside inside uncanny valley.
the dialogue is stale, but servicable. i didn't have to cringe because of bad spelling or grammar like in so many other games.
i didn't check the sound a lot. i think there is only music which is completely average.
STORY:
the main story is not great, but at least i was interested and engaged in it up to theend sudden stop. i appreciate that care has been taken to have the plot grounded in realism and not porn logic, even though the main story and many plot points feel very contrived.
a big problem is the length of the game. it drags on sooo much. the plot takes place over ~50 days and every day includes a breakfast scene. why? often exposition is told to you once, then again when the original character tells another character. everything has to be discussed - often multiple times or with different characters. we have to accompany the characters to, like, every second shower and listen to all of their conversations, even phonecalls, and even when they don't even tangentially touch on plot points. it's bewildering.
FEEL:
overall i never felt immersed in the scene but more like i'm looking at a crude doll house from above. the readers time isn't used effectively. in the end i was able to empathise with the characters a bit even though they all feel so stale, but only because the game forces you to spend so much time with them. the same result could have been achieved with fewer, but more impactful scenes.
the game kinda handicaps itself by ignoring many of the tools to craft a narrative. visually you don't get a lot of information since camera angles, lighting, color composition etc is just not used to help the scene. the limited facial expressions are not detailed or varied enough either to gauge emotions or thoughts. the dialogue isn't used well to distinguish between characters or emotions. there is no dramatic music, there is no narration to give you details apart from the visuals on the screen. instead of narration we get thought bubbles for every character. those at least contain some additional details, but even this isn't used well to convey information.
SEX SCENES:
the sex scenes are even worse than the rest of the scenes. they have the same problem of feeling stale and artificial. they are also very short. only a few images per scene and very little dialogue.
the animations are atrocious! the game would honestly improve in quality if the animations weren't there. they are so bad it's not even funny.
the sex moans are also the worst i've ever read. i mean... "AAAAOOOOHHH"... really? what are we doing here? howling at the moon?
CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM FOR THE DEV:
focus more on quality! one good scene is worth more than 20 bad ones. think about why a scene is needed and if it can be cut or combined with other plot points. try to focus on critical developments instead of everyday mundanity. use more tools to convey scenes (easy fix could be narration to communicate details that aren't visual).
OVERALL, I WOULD RATE THIS GAME AS POOR (2 OUT OF 5) IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE BAD AVERAGE QUALITY OF PORN GAMES. COMPARED TO OTHERS, THIS GAME IS FIRMLY AVERAGE (3 OUT OF 5).
