Unity - The Incident at Cock Tower [v0.7.0.1] [Googlyman]

Waste of time:

So, theres no adventure in this game, your just running around in an empty mansion, " examining " items, reading notes & diaries, no straight forward tutorial ( controls are obtuse ), Came across 2 items ( metal apple & rod ), one of them is supposed to be inserted into the other, but theres no function in how to do it.

The walkthrough is not comprehensible, doesnt give straight forward explanation on how to progress.

So really, the game was done half measure.

I wish i could rate this higher but It has a few problems:
Although we had performance improvement compared to the previous versions, I hope the dev can optimize the game more. The game needs it.
And I hope he fixes some bugs that the game has.
And the dev could add some cum effect that the 0.6.3.7 has. Also he could improve it.
I love the concept of the game.
Pls dev. Give us a new update

Game doesn't launch most of the time, when it does, 2 min into the gameplay it uses 99% of my 32Gb RAM and bogs down to 10 fps.

Lighting on the protag also was really janky, could barely make them out.

Tried going to an earlier version and still no luck.

Looks like a cool concept but something is out of whack.

Would not recommend it at this ver unless poorly lit slideshows that make your PC go brrrrr are your fetish.

The game is pretty good, some times have some bugs because needs some fixes yet, but it have good potential and if it was in steam for sale I would buy it because the game is too good for only play 1 time, I hope see more updates and new things in this game, because is very very good.

O jogo é muito bom, ele tem muito potencial e é potente, se tu tiver um pc fraco talvez ele fique um pouco pesado, mas em geral ele roda muito bem e é muito divertido, eu realmente sugiro ele para muitas pessoas jogarem que gostam de uma experiência de fugir de uma IA que quer te comer, se eu tivesse a chance comprava na steam.

It's prety buggy but it's a good game all in all.
Puzzles are intuitive and no inventory means you have to plan your movement a bit, though it does also lead to a lot of backtracking. Only porn game where I've ever had to write things down on paper.
Only negative are the bugs honestly but that sort of thing gets ironed out eventually, just save often - which bdw allowing players to save anywhere while the game is still in this state might be a good ideea, and remove that ability when it's more stable, saves a bit of frustration.

good game, enjoy hide and seek like every horror game. Need more of course hehehe. Some graphics maybe need some update, but the fact that game is on dev, I suppose there some patches. Theres bugs (the coding one) of course that many user have already spotted, but I'm sure there will be patches too.

Good concept, the game is a bit raw but very promising gameplay, very interesting idea.

cons:
- inconvenient camera that constantly resets position
- fps problems (probably because of lighting)
- other small issues

I'll keep an eye on progress.

As I am writing this review, it is V0.5.5.

While there are a few things to be ironed out, there are some very fresh, new ideas which really make me want to see this game finished.

While inspired by Clock Tower, Resident Evil and Kaiki! Drill No Otoko Kyoufu there are a lot of fresh ideas which make it a game not to gloss over. At this stage there is a good, lengthy and playable demo with nice features such as cover mechanics, clothing damage, environmental hazards and a diverse area to explore. Then again, there are puzzles and quite a few monsters to keep tension already.

Speaking of tension, the fap material is very solid. Not to spoil anything, I would say it brings new things to the table, sometimes literally. At this stage it can use some fine-tuning but what is there is pretty good. As someone who has seen quite a lot of dead 3D-games of the genre in development, it is refreshing to see one being updated as frequently as this.

A few issues which are classic features of games in development are there though. Graphical bugs tend to occur, the occasional freeze or lagspike as well yet these are seldom game-breaking. When these are reported, Googlyman does go out of his way to make solving any issues a priority. Hence why it is my opinion that this is a game that will keep improving, be it through it's driven creator.

As a subscriber on the developer, Googlyman's Patreon I can very much confirm communication to be a two-way street. Criticism and tips are received and acted on more often than not, while keeping the core of the game in mind. Frequent polls even let the audience decide on the further development of the game, which is a big plus.

Definitely recommend you to follow this game's progress, be it through F95zone or Patreon if you really want to follow-up closely.

Pros

• Fans of Clocktower series or similar games will probably like this
• Gives the same stressful and exciting feeling as when being chased by Mr. X
• Location based sex animations give some variety instead of cycling through the same animation pool everywhere

Cons

• Aesthetics. Lighting flickers and flashlight is dim in some areas, graphics are a little outdated
• Camera controls are very frustrating
• Movement is sluggish
• Animations are stiff

The best part about the game so far is the potential to be a decent Clocktower parody. Good luck!
