1000% percent heh. It just seemed so obvious to my mind. I actually hated both of their endings in a way as it broke my heart to not pick the other, though I think Polly's is slightly better as there are signs that Mira is 'lingeriung' somewhat, where as on her end Polly is pretty much not involved at all. Made me a little sad.

I'd say that's the main one, would also have preferred a proper Anita/Marisa ending...that ending is just a one night deal...not really a path is it? (have not done MArisa's solo ending yet so ndon;t know if Anita appears there or not). Serena, not really sure how that would work fully really.

As for bugs etc....While I understand it was complicated, it's the old case of, if going to allow certain ways to play (so concentrate on one or two only till completion), then you you really need to account for that and what people might do in your coding and how forced narrative scenes then play out.
Mira/Apollyon is my favorite throuple possibility as well.

The idea of two beings eternal wanting to set aside their immortal existence (for at least a time) to enjoy a mundane life with one mortal man, because of everything they went through together, is very appealing.

I think one of the lessons the dev learned is that there should have been some 'in AVN' guidance/rules re: timing for helping the different women (for ex. = the more time spent away from any of the people you are trying to help, the better the chance that they will become a remnant, something Mira could have conveyed as part of coaching the MC).

This would have been a legitimate prompt to get the player to advance the different women at something closer to the same pace, making it easier to then avoid some of the plot/continuity breaking bugs that you and others discovered playing one full path at a time.

I'm hoping that the DC addresses this in some fashion.

My experience was very different than yours - you played a completed AVN (less the DC) while I played TID from the beginning, playing as much content as I could with the limited choices that were available with each monthly release (so no way to play anything like a full path before starting another woman).

Perhaps this, and/or perhaps something as simple as gating some of the events. If I'm at level 3 with Tina, 15 with Robin, and I want to see Robin again, pop up "I need to spend some time with Tina first." Or you see Robin, but don't really do anything, and it doesn't count as a story event.

But of course that really changes the mechanics of the game; right now, I can run Kaitlin start to finish, then Tina, then Anita, etc., though I'll miss a good bit of content if I do it that way. I can ignore Roe completely and just go to the Cycle. I can ignore all the girls (though I really don't see why anyone would want to play that way, unless it's just out of morbid curiosity). This would reduce the player's freedom of action, in exchange for a (hopefully) more consistent story.

But spacing out the girls--running through the story of one start to finish, then the next, etc.--also spaces out the endings for them. Having now seen Kara's, and the curve ball she threw, it would be nice to not have one farewell after the other.

There is a lot of that in the game, reading the code. If you have to get to specific levels with multiple girls before you can get the joint stuff. Which is why I was kinda surprised that you found one that didn't. I haven't checked the code yet, to see how you got the event with Sammy, I am cleaning my house for company, but plan on checking on it later tonight.

I haven't read any of the code, but based on the walkthrough, that doesn't appear to be the case--I can, it seems, do stories 1-25 with Kaitlin, then with Tina, then with Anita, etc. But they'll look quite a bit different than if I'd done story 1 with everyone, then story 2, etc. Obviously the threesomes wouldn't happen (with one possible exception), and I have no idea how you'd go about getting Robin out of her dad's place, for example. But AFAICT, it should be possible. Morbid curiosity makes me want to try, but maybe once I play through a few of the endings.

The event with Sammy is just her 17th story event--she wants MC to take her out on a date, so he does. Over beers, she says she's never been on a date before. When MC gets back home after the event, he says to himself, "I don't get the impression Sammy does a lot of dating." At the beginning of her 18th event, he says nearly the same thing to himself. Both of which would be reasonable observations if she hadn't directly told him she'd never been on a date before.

So I've sent everyone on, gone into the cycle, and am into Anita's ending (I may not go through all of them, but I do expect to run through at least a few). Some thoughts on the "send her on" thing:
  • I'd expected this part to hit in the feels, and it did, but it wasn't as painful as I'd expected.
  • I guess it makes sense, for narrative reasons if nothing else, that there'd be a moment of clarity at the end, where they'd understand, at least in part, what's going on. It gives them a chance for some last words, to say goodbye, or whatever.
  • I hadn't expected that Kara would be the hardest one to send on, but her going 0-100 in 2.5 seconds, from "FWB, easy on the F" to "I love you" threw a curve ball I hadn't been expecting. And I swear someone started cutting onions when she asked if MC was going to be OK, "I can't go unless I know you're going to be fine." (Edit: I have to wonder if she could have refused to have been sent on). Anya also asked if he'd be OK, but didn't push it as far, and she's a mom--it's expected with her.
  • Likewise, I hadn't expected Anya to be harder than Kaitlin. Yeah, the "are you going to be OK" is expected from a mom, but it still hit the feels a bit.
  • Most of the others, though, were surprisingly easy. I liked all of them, and would miss all of them. I had feelings for at least almost all of them (I didn't really have time for them to grow with Natalie), but it was time. And the feelings were already out there. Tina's "I just found you" hit a bit harder than most, though--she wasn't the only one to say something like that, but it somehow hit harder with her.
I want the harem ending, because I really like all the LIs, but the solo ending (at least Anita's) is awfully heartwarming so far.

I am confused then. That was exactly what I was talking about. Any joint scene in the game, has two variables, girl A at level XX and girl B at level YY. I understood you saying you got a scene where someone was level 1 and another person was level 17 or something. If there was just inconsistency in language (between sammy 17 and sammy 18), that can be passed on to Kinderfeld to look at. The game was designed so you could do 1-100 with girl A, then 1-100 with girl B if you wanted. The best story is if you keep the girls somewhat in check and progress through the scenes, so you can see the joint scenes, and what not, but you don't have to.

No; I wasn't playing that way, so I wouldn't have seen that. I could understand more inconsistencies in the dialogue if I were, but even being very consistent with the ladies' levels I ran into plenty. I can't give specifics for most of them because I didn't keep notes, but a few of them:
  • The one I mentioned with Sammy: In 17, she says she's never been on a date, and by the end of that event (and at the beginning of 18), MC seems to have forgotten she said that. Maybe the mind-blowing sex affected his memory, but I don't think that's how the story's intended to go.
  • At the end of Anita's 17, she's pissed at MC (because he brought Marisa to meet her at the club). The next event I saw with Marisa (which I think was 18), MC says he's made up with her--but that doesn't happen until Anita's 18, which I hadn't yet seen.
  • And while I don't have specifics, there's a joint event with Roe and Sammy which has Roe on Sammy's moped coming to MC's house. A later event (as I played it) with Roe has her explaining Sammy's moped to MC, as though he hadn't seen both of them on it already. Roe wouldn't necessarily have known at the time that MC already had experience with Sammy and her moped, but she'd know that she and Sammy had ridden it to MC's house together.
Given some of the earlier comments, I half-expected to see Kara in some of the Marisa events even after I'd sent Kara on, but that didn't happen.

A number of the endings really resonated with me, including Mira, Apollyon and Kaitlyn (no accident/fully capable of having children - a new and improved lease on life).

My favorite among the human women was quite unexpected until I got close to the end of TID: Selene.

She is the only human woman who remembers Everything that she and MC went through, and she cared enough about Ed to want them to go check up on him.

She is still haunted by her previous life and carrying wounds from the choices she made but, with the help of MC, she overcomes them.

I'm hoping that the throuple endings carry the same kind of emotional weight that the solo endings did.

I understand that the harem ending can't carry the same emotional weight since there will be minimal good-byes for anyone you want in that ending (I'm guessing that it will work that way).

Cheers!! :coffee:

Anita's ending includes checking in on at least many of the other LIs; I assume the other endings do as well. Things had unfolded for Kaitlin as you describe in her ending. In fact, everyone seemed to be better off than they'd been in the Interim--Anita still had her mom; Tina wasn't running herself ragged; Marisa wasn't as harried (and I think I like her with longer hair), and somehow was still friends with Anita. I guess this is to show MC (and/or the player) that even if he can't be with all of them, he really did make life better for them.
I still don't think she's my favorite, but she's definitely grown on me. She's probably the closest to "my type," physically speaking, but of course all the LIs are plenty attractive (except one). She grew a lot toward the end, and her use of the boon was a very nice touch (even if the "you did this to yourself" logic was, um, questionable). Don't think I liked her forcing the threesome on Natalie, but the threesome itself was hot (and probably broke Patreon's rules). But an ending with an LI who remembered the Interim is definitely worth checking out.

It's really hard to pick a favorite LI. For me, a favorite LI is going to be one I-as-MC love, and who loves MC. Natalie's going to be at the bottom of my list--we didn't get much time to know her, and she was way too quick with "I want to bang you, oh and I'm in love with you." It felt to me--her denials notwithstanding--that she was offering sex as payment for the motel room. Her looks didn't do anything for me either--I'm not sure if it was the hair, the piercings, and/or something else, but but she left me cold. I liked her well enough by the time she left, but she's definitely not the favorite.

Next-lowest is Mina. She's cute and fun, and I liked hanging out with her, but I didn't really get to know her, much less build a relationship with her.

If not for her last story event, Kara would be next, but that event definitely pushes her up on my list.

But at the top? I think that's still Anita, but she has some stiff competition. Marisa's right up there, and so is Robin. I think Tina's slipped a little since I last mentioned her, but still pretty high. All of them very much in love with MC, and he with them. Anita is the most direct about this the earliest; Tina's still waffling a bit after her confession. Kaitlin's sending some mixed signals--"I'll probably meet someone else in college, but I'll want to be sure you're OK with him, but I'll be marrying you."

And then there's Mira and Polly, and I just don't know what to do with them. Polly's just adorable, and Mira's been a great friend and lover.

Allison? I think to finish with her would really defeat the purpose of the story--everyone has attachments to their old lives that they need to let go, and the biggest of those for MC was Allison. It would feel satisfying to have another chance with her and make it work, but it would undo all the work that had been done.

I've now been through her ending, at least through the wedding (given what she's wearing before we leave for the honeymoon, I expect there's another sex scene coming, which I haven't yet seen). I like her Interim hair better than her real-world hair, but that's a minor issue. She's more than a little inconsistent in demanding monogamy from MC while being unwilling to commit herself--yes, somewhat understandably so (though likely bafflingly so to Natalie), but it doesn't seem to weigh as heavily as it should in her mind that MC chose her. But nonetheless heartwarming and (mostly) wholesome.

But she, alone among the (human) LIs, recognizes that she has a new lease on life and can chart a different course. They all appear to have done better for themselves (and/or just been given better circumstances) than was in the Interim (and presumably their lives beforehand), but only Selene is conscious of that. And it's good to see that she's consciously trying (and succeeding, it appears) to be better.

Now I wonder if Selene will recognize MC if he chooses Natalie's end, because I presume she'll still be around. May want to try that.

Turns out Selene isn't the only human to remember the Interim:
1758480060707.png
Kind of, anyway.

Though another glitch in the writing:
1758480244669.png
No, she didn't say "she was getting there:"
1758480288609.png

I've been through Mina's and Polly's as well, as well as "no one." That one has some nice Easter eggs, but it's pretty sad overall (I know, what do you expect if you choose "no one"--maybe that MC meets someone else? Maybe that the Easter egg plays out?). And we already know that isn't what MC wanted:
1758480455699.png

At this point, I'm honestly not sure I still want the harem ending. "Meet the love of your life, marry her, settle down, have kids" is an awfully happy ending, especially when you also know that all the others you cared about are also doing well. I don't know that I can believe the harem ending would match this.

OK, with her ending, Marisa's edged out Anita as my favorite. But I'm definitely down for a Marisa/Anita throuple (and I think it's the most obvious throuple, if we limit it to the humans--they're already besties, to the point where they're already willing to share for one night; their friendship isn't semi-forced by their living situation as with Tina/Robin (in the Interim, that is; I haven't seen either of their endings yet), and there isn't the family weirdness there'd be with Selene/Natalie). But it is a little weird seeing her $200k Audi R8 in the driveway with MC's Hyundai.

I've now been through all but a few of the endings (and will likely have more thoughts on those later), and just started TOXICity (and see there was a new release yesterday, so time for an update already). And I'm noticing some common elements:
  • Dev seems to like TEOTWAWKI scenarios. Interim Domain is literally this, N&T close to it; TOXICity (AFAIK; I haven't made it very far yet) may be a localized TEOTWAWKI rather than global. But still...
  • He likes his tan lines
  • And pubic hair
    • Though it doesn't always animate that well--plenty of cases where it seems to be moving independently of the LI's naughty bits
    • I wouldn't say I have a thing for pubic hair as such, but it's nice for the sake of variety if nothing else; in most VNs I've seen it's either completely absent or present as just a light dusting
    • And it lets you see cute things like Robin in her ending
  • He doesn't seem to think much of "friends with benefits."
    • Sydney tries it in N&T and catches feelings
    • Tina tries hard, and Kara tries even harder, but both catch feelings for MC
    • Mina tries as well, though we obviously don't see that much of her
    • I recall MC discussing this with Polly, and expressing the view that it never works because someone inevitably catches feelings.
    • I'm not far enough into TOXICity to see whether, or how, it will come up there.
  • I can't say I remember this in N&T, and I haven't yet seen it in TOXICity (though I've only seen one sex scene so far in that), but in ID, just about every LI seems to take a creampie as a mark of MC's ownership of them, and they all comment on it.

As promised (or threatened?), some thoughts on the endings:
  • I expect your preferences for endings will be closely tied to your preferences in the LIs
    • Though Marisa and Anita did swap places for me--Anita was my #1 in the Interim; Marisa's ending edged her out. I don't know that I can explain why that is, though.
  • I came in wanting a harem ending--I really like all (OK, almost all--Natalie still doesn't do anything for me) the LIs, and didn't want to have to choose one (hence my now having played through almost all of them). But the solo endings are so wholesome and heartwarming (OK, I'm a bit of a romantic, so sue me) that I've mostly changed my mind--yes, it'd be nice to be with all the ladies in the reborn world, but I don't believe it would be nearly as emotionally satisfying.
    • I'm not even sure about the throuples. Mira/Polly do seem like an obvious one, as do Marisa/Anita. Robin/Tina probably as well. But I have the same reservation about them.
  • The "no one" ending was, IMO, pretty sad. I know, what did I expect from a "no one" ending? Well, I thought MC might meet someone completely new (though if I'd thought harder about that possibility, and the work the dev would have had to put in to make it happen, I'd probably have realized that wouldn't happen). Or, once the side character we'd seen earlier popped up, that he might get together with her. But nope, he goes through life alone, then dies. There were a couple of nice Easter eggs in this ending, but it isn't what he said he'd wanted.
    • Though the lead-in didn't work as well with this one. With all the LIs' endings, the "but there was something else, though. Something I was promised..." works. But for this ending, it doesn't--MC asked, literally, for nothing, was promised nothing, and got nothing.
  • All the endings except Mira's, though, kind of leave you thinking you should have gone with Mira. Sure, you have a great life with your loving wife, but you still think, "Fuck it, I missed Mira. She was the best friend I ever had."
  • To avoid spoilers, I'll just say that Anya's ending was a surprise. But if you were looking forward to the MILF, you'll be disappointed.
  • The Cycle gave more than it promised--it said only that the chosen LI "would subconsciously know that you[] two are linked." But it's clear with each of them that there's an immediate, and strong, attraction. The degree of "I feel like I know you, but I don't know why" (or at least the degree to which it's expressed) varies, with Kara being most direct (and most unnerved) about it.
  • Selene frankly frustrated me
    • I get it, she has her own shit to deal with, right in line with the theme of the entire game/story. And unlike any of the other human LIs, she remembers who and what she was before and during the Interim. "You should hate me. Why don't you? You saw the woman I was." Unlike the other human LIs, her issues were largely her own; they weren't forced onto her (though in classic Greek fashion, all the LIs had at least some responsibility for the situation they were in). And MC plays the Archon one last time, I guess.
    • And what should MC have hated her for? Her life before the Interim? People have pasts; they change, and it's not like she'd done anything to him. The way she treated him initially? Sure, she acted like a bitch, but hadn't they gotten over that already? They were surely on good terms before the end.
    • She also doesn't seem to account for (though she's fully aware, and even mentions) the fact that MC chose her, and "a girl might feel special if she knew" that. And regardless of how you rank the LIs, I think anyone would agree that she had several who were tough competition. So, knowing that, she tries to keep him at arm's length, and he shows the patience of a saint. All's well that ends well, I guess, but...
    • I recognize that I'm looking at this logically, and emotions aren't particularly logical. But still, frustrating.
  • Why was Mira wearing an engagement ring when she first met MC?
  • Really liked both Mira's and Polly's endings. Between the two, slightly favor Mira's, just because she comes to understand MC's loss in sending the other LIs on--which, as I'd mentioned earlier, wasn't as hard as I'd expected, but was still rather painful (and that's for me, playing the game that's telling this fictional story).
  • I don't know about Tina. Or really, that she wasn't quite Tina. New-Tina was still very attractive, and a bit more feminine than old-Tina. The character was very much the same. But the model seems to be missing what made Tina, Tina.
  • I really enjoyed Sammy's ending. It was good to see her a little less high-strung, without the purple hair, and a less-stressful family situation. I liked her a lot as it was, and it was nice to see her a little less stressed-out.

Just started playing the recently and was wondering....

am I able to play through only 1 route or should I do all the routes that i can do at the moment equally?

Cause I looked at some of the replies for focusing on 1 route and I found a few replies saying that stuff gets out of sync story wise?

I also say a reply where using the Mod makes playing 1 route better? Though im not sure if that means better as in being able to play the entirety of 1 route without having to worry about the game breaking on you while sticking to that route.

I am currently using the Multi-mod by the way.

If its better for me story wise to just play the routes equally i wouldn't mind too much? Just would be a minor inconvenience i guess.

Can anyone shed some light for me on how to best go about playing this in its proper/acceptable way?

Many thanks in advance

Able? Yes, you can play all the way through Robin, then Kaitlin, or whatever. However, many of the characters will interact with each other, sometimes in sexual ways and sometimes not, if they're at the appropriate story level. If they aren't, you'll miss quite a bit of content (including, but not limited to, a few threesomes). To see the greatest amount of content, it's best to advance the girls' stories evenly.

Playing as you describe will probably give you more issues with the dialogue and such too, but at least some of those are present anyway.

A few additions to what danb35 already shared:

There is a WT so if you find you are missing something from the gallery, the WT can help you to find out what needs to be done to open the locked gallery entry.

Each time you have a choice to spend time with Mira, do it or else you will eventually be locked out of some of her late AVN content (these choices are typically main story choices).

If you are in doubt, make a save point so you can return as needed.

FYI - the dev is also working on a Director's Cut for TID, no estimate on when it will be available as the dev's 3rd AVN - TOXICity - takes priority (for monthly updates).

This will add significant changes and content, including multi-girl endings (harem and, I believe, some throuples).

Cheers!! :coffee:

its better for me story wise to just play the routes equally
As described above, it generally is, but a caution--with a few exceptions (Saaya, Kara, Natalie, Mina), you "send them on" at story level 25. If you get attached to the characters (as I did), that can be kind of an emotional experience. It wasn't as hard as I'd expected it to be for most of them (Kara was surprisingly the hardest for me), but doing 8 or so back to back could be a bit draining. I mitigated that slightly by getting all of the main LIs to level 22 evenly, then finishing them off (so 23, 24, and 25 with Kaitlin, then with Tina, etc.). Sammy was one or two levels behind, because she comes in a little later.

Edit to note: whether you play one girl at a time or keep them evenly matched, you'll need to play through at least many of their routes, and do reasonably well with them, to get the "good ending" yourself (i.e., you win at The Cycle, and get to pick an ending with one of the LIs). On "easy mode", you need 300 Qi to succeed there, and your primary source of Qi is the girls--when you send them on, you earn Qi equal to their like points + 2x their love points. I was pretty close to maxing them out (thanks to the walkthrough mod), and had 554 Qi going into The Cycle, so you have quite a bit of leeway. But if you were to decide, say, to run Anita's route and only hers, ignore everyone else, and go to The Cycle, you aren't heading for a good ending.

Dev Update October 7, 2025

The Interim Domain 0.99.0 -
We have a playable build in a beta state right now. The audio's been coded, including a few new music tracks for a big event at the end. Right now, we're doing a rewrite and reshoot sweep, with the intent of cleaning up the script and fixing some lingering animation issues. Trying to line up the loops of multiple characters onscreen at the same time has proven to be a challenge. And let me say that I hate water animations. LOATHE them.

Another fun thing that's before us is the fact that the new content is going to take some time to do the appropriate script clean up. 140k + words is a lot to go through, line by line. Still, we have a few tasks left before we can pack up and get the final bundle ready for release.

Thanks for your interest and patronage,
-Kinderfeld
