this game did something incredible i've lost my love for games and anime manga etc.... yet when i played this i was so into the game and loved it to the point that i would say that this is my most favorite game ever the worldbuilding is great the story is great the characters are great believable and memorable, the sex scene is so well into the story and plot and weirdly enough i find the text based scene leave the rest to imagination which to some is good others bad yet after playing the game i didn't care i wanted more about the mystery more about what is going on rather than anything else so for anyone thinking about this game i absolutely recommend it , it is a must play in my book

This game is pretty great. The story is great and is what drives the game forwards! The sex scenes that have art that are currently in the game are alright to good, however, the scene viewer is only unlocked around either 10 or 20 hours into the game, so it can take time to see some scenes. Regardless, come for the porn, stay for the story.

The game is well made, you can see the effort in it. Rather than be just one more rpgmaker random game with no effort in this mechanics the creator here really try to make this game looks polished. I find the combat fun, rather than infinite random battles you have a limited amount of battles, make the game look more significant.
my criticism is with the sex scenes the personality of the main character, while I really like the smart nature of the main character, his mannerism gets boring after sometime, without change, and a lot of sex scene really tries descriptively shows that MC is dominating the woman ... but without actions ... something supposedly psychological and subjective, and even too subtle, getting really tedious (for me, to make it clear) and demonstrating the creator's fetishes clearly.
So i get focused in the story rather than any sexual scene in the game.

I adore this game. It has depth of gameplay and plot, it has interesting characters, it has sex, it even has art for the sex scenes these days. It's a testament to what a game developer with a vision, commitment, and passion for a project can achieve. You can very easily sink dozens of hours into this game - not because it is grinding you to the bone but because it has so much to offer as you embark on a truly epic journey to conquer the world alongside characters that you not only start to care about but that actually have a sound (and thus slow-burning) plan to that end. It combines standard RPG Maker combat with resource and empire management that you mostly approach as in a CYOA game.

Thing is (and that is why I'm only rating it 4 out of 5, despite my resounding recommendation): it's a game that I personally feel doesn't get the sex scenes quite right. I absolutely 100% want to like them as much as I love the rest of the game and I do love the fact that they fit right into the world, the game, and the plot. But something about them (the tone? the level of detail? the length?) just doesn't seem right to me. I find them erotic but not as much as they should be.

I'm sure it's just as matter of taste. If anything, perhaps it's an even bigger recommendation because this game is definitely one where you can "come for the sex, stay for everything else".

Fantastic worldbuilding, amazing characters, epic plot, and enough variable decisions to make your playthrough feel unique (and incentivize multiple runs). The RPG elements are well balanced, and the fact that there are limited enemies (not endless as in most rpgs) makes each fight feel both less like a time-sink/grind and more rewarding (need that sweet sweet EXP!).

After over a year of playing, it's time to rewrite my review today (Aug 7th, 2021). This is the best game on this website, and perhaps the best RPG game I've ever played. This game is as good as any Final Fantasy, Octopath, etc. The story is really where this game shines; the world is quite developed, with geography, interpersonal relationships, and especially politics taking a central role. If you're here to fap, feel free to try a different game; this is not a porn game, it's an RPG with porn.

Among RPG games, TLS is brutal in the best way possible. Rather than making the game hard by having endless amount of grinding required to beat the next boss (looking at you FF4 remake, the other RPG I'm currently playing), TLS takes a relatively novel approach: finite enemy count. You should fight every enemy to stay leveled, and you will always only barely be able to win. While the combat isn't particularly deep, it takes the old-school JRPG combat formula and pushes it as far as RPGM can possibly go.

Do yourself a favor and play this game.

Well balanced combat, good history progression and well defined chars. I miss a sex interacrion for Cumdumpe to enjoy her anytime... but is just my horniness thinkin.

A "must have" IMO.

Excellently written, good pacing, consistently updated despite working on a myriad of other projects. One of the best examples that you don't need to turn your brain off to be titillating and that if you introduced sexual games into a more mainstream audience, a lot of them would be like this. Great game.

It was a game with no CG but unknowingly I first played this game nearly 3 years ago and have been a fan of the complexity of the storyline. It has been one of my 2 favorites ( Being a dik) although it had no pictures(until recently added) it was still far superior in every other aspect.
PROS:-- It has a bit of everything from fights to management to religion to puzzles. The feeling of this game can't be described in words. Although it is a very hard game to play as minor choices may have a very large impact on the games. Believe me a seriously big impact. It has more than 40 hours of gameplay.

CONS :--If you are looking to this game for only fapping then it's not for you.(unless you can fap to text-based sex scenes with little to no animations.)
You need to rely on a wiki page or use cheat( via save editor) for the best outcome.

On a side note, all the ruckus is worth the story.

This is a weird game. The story is one of the best I've ever read. It's unique as all get out and the characters are actually extremely compelling. The main character is one of my favorite main characters in any RPG and the side characters are all wonderfully diverse and interesting.

It takes the idea of a world driven by sex magic very seriously. That doesn't sound like it could work, but for the most part the world is entirely coherent and interesting beyond pretty much every RPG I've ever played. I mean it when I say that this game's world compares in scope and detail to something like the Witcher. I know that sounds weird, but the world built here is as compelling as some of the best in gaming including planescape torment. I know, that is high praise, but I really mean it.

But is the game perfect? Well it is an rpg maker game, but overall it's a pretty good one. If you can stand the rpg maker mechanics in other games this one is more than playable.

Another problem is that I don't really care about the sex scenes. They are well done, but honestly I just want to get more story. They are far apart often and this game is really not a game where you can get your nut. Unless the sex is between major characters I often don't even read it and I usually skim what is there.

It can also be pretty hard to see everything without a guide. But the guide online is very well done if you want to use it.

There are also a few difficulty spikes, but it isn't that bad.

Overall a fantastic game. Really, really good. The world building and the mechanics of building your empire are great.

TLR: The game is great. Maybe not so good for jacking off though. too slow on that front. But it's well worth playing. Also support the Dev please. They have games on steam. Buy them.

The only reasonable way to have a positive result in this game is extensive metagaming. If you don't do a ton of research on the wikis, your relationships with the heroines will probably be shit, your capital will suck, the wars will go terribly, your orcs will be moronic weaklings, and you'll be missing critical items that make several of the weirdly "balanced" fights winnable without save-load-save-load-save-load-save-loading. This is, of course, unless you luck into the best combination of choices the first go-through... And if you don't, it's a looooooooooonnnngggg game to go back and restart. Good look sticking to a play-through where you have made one of those mistakes too, the negative effects snowball as you have less money to invest, which leads to missing out on important bonuses, and further less money to invest etc etc.

None of these things are a good look for a RPG. Normally I'd rate a H game for its porn content and not its gameplay, but this game is far more math equation with erotic elements than H game with gameplay elements.

Anyways, I can't recommend this frustrating time sink as of yet. Maybe these problems'll get improved in the future, but it seems so very unlikely given just how much hidden variables and background math dictate event outcome in this game. I really enjoy the dialogue writing despite the many many flaws with the gameplay and said math, though. The problem is that you miss out on much of that writing for not having a fucking spreadsheet and a walkthrough open on the same screen. The writing is the only reason I gave it a middling rating over an abysmal one.

The Last Sovereign is a difficult game to review. On one hand it is exceptionally well written, has interesting characters with their own personalities and motivations, and an above average sex-demon conquers the world plot.

On the other hand, for a game all about a sexy quest for power there sure isn't much sex. There's a lot of talk about sex, and people vividly describing their desire for /experience with / consequence of sex, but very little player initiated sexual encounters. In one chapter you are playing a succubus literally named "cumdump", in a massive lust-king conference turned orgy, and you get to initiate 4 scenes. Except you will likely only get to do 3 because you forgot to make the MC compliment her hair three weeks ago. Shit. Should have read the walkthrough I guess...

Which itself is a major letdown. The player should not need to consult four wiki pages to discern the "optimal" route forward in your game, or the only route forward in some cases. There are next to no in-game hints, directions, or indications of what to do. Nor any meaningful foreshadowing of the consequence besides a vague feeling that you just did something the developer considered wrong.

As an RPGM game my bar for gameplay is incredibly low, basically "don't be shit". The Last Sovereign definitely manages to meet the basic requirement. I haven't encountered any game breaking bugs or crashes. The combat is interesting enough and managing the parties gear feels more on the fun side of RPG mechanics than tedious.

*edit* - progressed further and dropping a star. Game is WAY to dependent on the walkthrough, to the point of being unpleasant. The writing and characterization are still great, and the developer has a talent for bumping naughty words together in the English language. There are definitely better porn games out there, but this one has carved out it's own special place.

Not for those that seek the best explicit CG art. It is for those that feel like good writing enhances their experience of an adult game, and those that like long games, impactful choices, interesting stories and characters.

Very well written + solid characters. One of the few games that actually turned me on solely through its writing. In this game the sex scenes don't come first, the story and characters do, and the sex scenes impact benefits as a result. The protagonist, so different from the ones from your usual adult game, is very appreciated.

Sadly there's a couple characters with grotesque huge boobs, but they can be ignored because sex scenes are basically text.

Christ Almighty, this game... Thanks to quarantine, I've been able to binge-play this game for days on end, and as of now I've racked up possibly 140+ hours on it, with those 100 hours in one single playthrough (and this game is still in development by the way).

Summary:
You play as Simon, an old soldier in his midlife who suddenly acquires powers that resemble that of the being he has been fighting most of his life against: an Incubus King. With these burgeoning powers, he begins to assemble a large team (that consequently turn into his harem) and go on a quest to finally rid his continent of the scourge that has killed and enslaved many.

Pros:
- 100+ hrs of UNIQUE content. Not recycled scenes or events.
- Likable and charming characters
- An interesting and lovable protagonist
- Although the world is seemingly regular fantasy cliche, it does have unique elements that make it stand out
- Some actual good humor in the dialogue
- There are no useless sidequests. They all either give you something very useful or give you a hidden stat that will help you down the line
- The sex scenes are very well written and diverse
- A diverse harem without any girls that feel same-y. They all feel unique.
- No weird fetish creep
- Empire-building aspects that can help you in story events
- You can't get a 100% on everything you want in certain story events. You have to ration your resources or points to get the most decent/good outcome.

Cons:

You 100% need to look at the walkthrough section of the wiki along with other pages like investment and such to get at the very least a decent outcome of many events. Going in blind is unadvised, unfortunately.

Some boss battles will make you tear your hair out. Remember to save before them and stock up on mana potions. Not to mention going into the wiki and look up their weaknesses to get a suitable team to take them out.

Another thing about this game is that there is no mob farming. Any enemy that you encounter HAS to be killed if you want that sweet XP, since you're going to be on a race to level up later on. This takes the shape of level thresholds that can give you advantages (and if you didn't keep up, disadvantages) in story events.

Not just one of the best Ero games I've ever played, but easily one of the best RPGs I've ever played. The characters are rich and extremely well written, the world is incredibly complex and full of life and the over-arching plot progresses believably and realistically. Even the harem elements are done without the usual ham-fisted approaches and the relationships with each girl, and their relationships with each other are brilliantly done. There are hidden mechanics and variables that give almost every decision weight and there's a wonderful sense of accomplishment that comes from seeing the world grown and change as a direct result of them. Can heartily recommend, though if you're an optimizer you'll definitely want to keep the walkthrough handy so that you can weigh the sometimes unforeseen consequences of your actions.

TLS is definitely one of the best RPGs and stories of all time, easily up there with the Witcher 3 and the Legend of Zelda games. Fun gameplay and incredible storytelling make for a very enjoyable playthrough that has plenty of replayability.

It's a major RPG style game, with an epic storyline, and smut - in text form. The text smut is written in the style typically seen in mainstream smut novels written for women. It always portrays our guy as "incredibly powerful, unconcerned, yet he's unselfish and sooo sensitive to the needs of his slave womenfolk" - i.e. it's generic female fantasy fuel.

All the smut (or almost all) is going to railroad you, there are few choices offered about it, and the scenes always unfold how the writer wrote it, there's no "sandboxy" element to it on offer here.

The result is still quite enjoyable if you can get into the role/text smut, or if you cannot, it's a cool RPG game and you can skip past the smut.

So very much a question of your taste, I personally couldn't get very excited for the main character's role. It's like being in a woman's fantasy about what an "amazing man" is, plus fanfic-style smut about all that. Feels weird man. But the actual RPG game element was really quite good, and the game is huge, lots to do and see. Mixed feelings.

I've logged almost 200 hours into this game, and I've only ever gotten to that game time achievement with the Persona series, specifically Golden and 5, but I'm getting off track. I love this game and can't wait to see what comes next.

If you enjoy RPG games, congratulations on finding TLS, you're in for a real treat. Absolutely download this game, use the walkthrough as much or as little as you want, and enjoy the writing of a professional fantasy author. You won't regret it.

A sweeping erotic epic. This game features a high-fantasy political romp that Dragon Age Inqusition and The Witcher 3 could only dream of replicating. The RPGM engine has its limitations of course but Sierra Lee does wonders with it.

Playing this game feels like reading War and Peace except that all the implicit sex is explicit. Absolute must play.
